Evening started out with long wait for waitress...gave our drink order, anther long wait..got wine bottle and asked for wine chiller bucket/stick Placed order (lobster) for 3 of us. About 15 minutes later, waitress came back and informed us they were out. We then ordered fish... Which came to table overdone... The final straw was that we had no utensils..when we asked for them they stated they were out and bring some over when they come out of the washer..so we sat there with food served for 5 minutes while they got utensils.

I have been to this establishment a couple times. I have tried different things on the menu and have never been disappointed. The lamb shank is my favorite. It is so tender is falls apart trying to eat it with a fork. The wait staff is always helpful and attentive. Everyone works so well together here and the price is good for what you get. Definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We went on sat. eve.Place was empty yet we waited 1 hour for our food after giving our orders. We arrived at 8:15 so had slowed down to only a few patrons. Pulled pork was horrible all fatty , ordered twice baked potato. Upon arrival it was a baked potato and was told,by waitress they didn't have twice baked. (They were on menu) and she didnt bother to tell us when ordering. Order a strawberry margarita and they couldnt make it( no strawberry mix) ordered all you can eat crab legs and when they asked for another order they were told waitress could not put it in because it was "too soon". We always take our guests to blue que but past two times service and food have been horrible. Behavior at bar was appalling. Probably our last trip there.

On Wednsday nights they have all you can eat Lobster for $35 a person. It was wonderful, the lobsters were served very hot and delicious. I ate 5 myself. What a great deal! They also have all you can eat crab and smoked prime rib on other nights of the week. It is very casual dress and you can eat inside or outside (they have misters to cool things down but I still don't recommend eating outside in the middle of summer. I highly recommend making reservations especially for large groups since it was very busy in there but they had our table all ready and waiting for us when we arrived. they only take reservations on Open Table.

We had 10 people in our group. My three 9 year olds were with us. The Blue Cue was hosting a bikini contest. We were seated immediately, but we had to leave after one drink based on the language that was being used around us. Not a family friendly place for dinner. Actually, the clientele was very suspect.

This was our 2nd time dining at the Blue Cue and unfortunately our last time. We requested a booth outside and the location was perfect for outdoor dining. The music was so loud you can not carry on a conversation. The restaurant has a great location on Siesta Key. The salmon was good. Because of the loud music we will not return. We gave your restaurant 2 opportunities and on both visits the music interfered with a normal conversation. As year-round residents I am sorry we have one less option on the Key.

We went for the all you can eat lobster, but that is truly all it is. Absolutely no sides came with the meal. Oh sure you could buy them if you really want them. If you want bread with your meal you will need to ask, they don't ask you or like most restaurants they don't just bring it out. Our server did her best, but she had way too many tables and most times we were just sitting there waiting for drinks or more lobster. It was very noisy, so if you're looking for a place to sit back and talk to friends, this is not the place.

We went for all you can eat lobster. I have eaten there before and the lobster came with cole slaw and something else. The waitress didnt tell us this changed and this time it came as only lobster. I didnt mind paying for sides, however the sides were ordered after the first set of lobsters came to the table. We were already on our second round of lobster before the sides came. Then it took forever for each refill of lobster came after we ordered more. Then we also had a lamb burger that we ordered med rare and it came our RARE! VERY RARE! We had to send it back which means it came back over done (not a good way to eat lamb). The tables are small the plate had a crack which leaked lobster juice all over my lap. Very loud!

Horrible service. Kids food arrived before the adults' salads. Adults salads came out over the course of 20 minutes. Took 20 minutes to get drinks and they brought the wrong ones twice. Entrees arrived about an hour after we were seated. They were short staffed but the manager did not once help his staff - looked too busy chatting up the attractive hostess.

We had a group of 11 (9 adults and two kids), with couples split up all over the table, but ERIC, our server wasn't fazed one bit. He took the orders, delivered drinks and entrees and cleared dishes with unbelievable skill and professionalism. When the desert for the kids was brought out, the kids missed the sparkler, so he brought it out again with a fresh sparkler. They were thrilled. Only two of the adults could eat the full 3 lobsters, so most of us got a takehome box to enjoy the next day. Food was spectacular. Besides the Lobster specials, our party had Ribs, Lamb Shank and NY Strip. No complaints anywhere. We will be going back.

We loved this place from start to finish. The tables were amazing- color changing hues of deep blue to light turquoise, reminding us if the gorgeous Gulf water....I had the King crab legs, delicious and plentiful. My family members had the combo of beef brisket and BBQ chicken, and the filet mignon - all were wonderful. Drinks and service was great, variety of side dishes were good, I would recommend the asparagus tips and mac and cheese ball. This was our best meal on this trip!

The deck area looks very appealing from the street. It was rather busy for the "off-season" but our group of 4 was seated on time and our drinks arrived quickly. The menu offered a wide variety of choices with some good recommendations from our waiter. The food arrived and we had some issues (according to the site policies I can not go into details) but we asked to move inside. It took several attempts and it wasn't until we got upset with the amount of time that the manager finally got a group of staff together to move us. We never were offered an apology and the waiter went from friendly to very short. From what started to be a very positive experience quickly turned to VERY negative. We cannot recommend this restaurant.

Disappointed. Good points first: outstanding music, good outdoor seating, great black-eyed pea hummus. Friendly, helpful hostess from start to end. Server good but not memorable - booths hinder interaction with staff & patrons. Efficient & polite busboy. Disgusting fried mac & cheese. Good mustard seasonings but overall disappointing lamb they were rubbery & difficult to cut with table knives. Dry baked potato. Guests liked pulled chicken sandwich. For dessert, good ice cream sundae & brownie with ice cream. Loved firecrackers for birthday girl. Good flavor for bread pudding but cardboard texture. Watermelon martini tasty not worth $10. Will give Blu Que a chance for lunch. This was our 2nd dinner visit, 1st visit we enjoyed very much.

Have truly enjoyed Blu Que in past visits, particularly enjoyed the AYCE Wed lobster special. We understood when told this time the lobster market has changed and the new Wed lobster special had changed to mean max 3 lobsters for $35, (although still advertised in newspaper as AYCE). Previously, special included a good soup and salad. This time we were disappointed to learn abruptly that the lobster special had been further cut w/o notice to mean 'lobsters only'. Lobster reduction understood -- elimination of soup and salad impresses us as penurious. Lobsters served overcooked, on a bare metal tray - 1 lonely lemon wedge & melted butter? - maybe oil. No small fork. When small fork requested, fondue fork appeared. Weird.

We were a group of seven with a car coming from North of Tampa and a second group from Sanibel Island. We didn't know the area and choose the restaurant form the Open Table listings. It worked perfect for our needs. The restaurant was able to let us sit at the table and wait for our group to arrive (about 20 minutes). They met our pace with drinks and appetizers and later entrees and dessert. They were in no rush to move us. We had a wonderful afternoon. The food was typical bar food and not super impressive. The service was fantastic. I recommend this restaurant for large parties or a quick bite. Loved the steel drum music.
