Service is catastrophic, food is acceptable, but it takes more than an hour to get served.

While visiting Bal Harbour for the weekend, we had a great find, hidden away, but I'm telling everyone about the great rack of lamb, truffel mash potatoes, and tiramisu. I can't wait to visit the area again, and I'll go ahead and skip the mall and hotel restaraunts, and go straight to Pescacane Ristorante.

Pescecane is a traditional italian restaurant with homme made pasta . We had the raviolis which were outstanding ! The antiparti were varied and excellent. The service was great and the wine list quite interesting.

This place is a hidden gem just steps away from Bal Harbour Mall. Porcini Mashroom Raviolli in a cream truffle sauce are a must order. Osobucco with saffron rissoto was outstanding. Service is friendly and very efficient. This is my mandatory dinner place every time I visit Miami.

The physical space could use updating, there is a damp celler odor when you enter. While the wait staff are young they are very professional, service oriented and attentive. The food was very good and they made some changes to accomodate our individual taste. The bread served before the meal was exceptionally good. Wine selection and pricing was good. All round a very nice place to go for quite intimate dining.

  • Very nice

Several friends raved about this restaurant so I had to try it. The food was very good, and the service impeccable. We had the whole sea bass baked in course salt, with a side of spinach and a light pinot noir. It was very nicely prepared and expertly de-boned and served table-side. The place was a bit empty for a Thursday night, which might be attributed to the premium prices. You get what you pay for!

  • So COLD we had to leave
    FoodCritic
    Dined on 12/8/2011
When we walked in it was so cold in the restaurant we couldn't remain. I am sure inside my refrigerator was warmer. The few outside tables that they have were unusable- there was work that was being done on the hanging sign above them. While the staff was cordial we did not stay to eat and walked down the street to another restaurant where the room temperature was normal and we had a fabulous dinner. Therefore my ratings are only shown as fair because the review requires me to rate them but should really be ignored.
