Friendly, fun, and flavorful--Three Doors Down is a great place where the food intrigues and the atmosphere embraces. What's not to love about a restaurant that offers music and spaghetti/meatballs each Sunday night?

My wife and college age daughter enjoyed our first visit to 3 doors down. We liked the duck starter. We were also very impressed with the white bean spread for the table bread. We each had very good entrees. We also had good desserts. My wife and I had a half carafe of wine and I had a nice grappa with my dessert. Jeff was our server. He was very helpful.

Wow, what a surprise as we had not visited 3 Doors Down prior and found it one of the most friendly and welcoming staff of the city. The dining experience was great. Both the salads were very tasty and the entree's were well done with unique but very pleasurable tastes. Will definitely be back.

We've been to 3 Doors Down several times, and each time have found the food to be very tasty. This time around I had the clams and mussels over pasta in a white wine sauce. It was exactly the (relatively) light dish I was hungering for. My husband had the coffee encrusted pork, which--honestly--isn't a traditional italian dish. But it was delicious. The service was spot on, the restaurant was hopping...so all in all it was an enjoyable evening.

The hostess and servers went out of their way to make sure we had the best table possible, although the restaurant was full. Service was prompt and gracious. The food was terrific. We split the entre and paid the $3 for the split, each getting more than half a serving. The restaurant is warm and cozy. A bit noisier at the window tables, but worth it for the view of the street and people watching.

We have been to 3 Doors Down several times over the years and it has always been fantastic. The service was particularly excellent this last time we went. Both of our pasta dishes were delicious. The portions are nice and big (we brought home enough leftovers for the next day's dinner). Good options for vegetarians, too!

We went to 3 Doors Down on a Friday evening with our son and some of his college friends. The restaurant was quiet enough to hear one another but loud enough to notice that the other diners were animated and enjoying themselves. We shared several appetizers (steamer clams, duck confit, melted manchego cheese), all of which were great. Everyone had a different entree. I had osso bucco, which was excellent although not as good as my wife makes. The restaurant is in the Hawthorne district, which is a very cool area of Portland. Parking was difficult. Otherwise, everything was great. We will definitely return to 3 Doors Down.

We always hear rave reviews of this restaurant and decided to try again after a long hiatus. Attentive wait staff and an interesting menu. The food quality was very good but all the dishes were overly rich and heavy-handed for our taste. Not sure we will head back anytime soon.

A great Italian restaurant ,with gourmet dishes, not the usual pasta and veal...Since it now accepts reservations,as opposed to come and wait, it is even more desirable.
