It was a birthday celebration which I had noted to the restaurant in advance. The menu had the birthday boy's name on the menu, which was very nice. However, because we had a trainee and a regular server, which kept flipping back and forth serving us, they forgot that it was his birthday when it came time for dessert. I have had better service there.

The only problem I had was that I used Open Table Dining to make the reservation and was not credited my points because McCormick & Schmicks did not let Open Table know that I kept my reservation. I even informed the hostess that I made the reservation through Open Table Dining when we gave our name. This was a special occasion luncheon for a co-worker. Our food and dining experience were great. Our service was excellent. Using Open Table to make my reservation was easy and user friendly. I hope to receive the points I earned for this luncheon. Great location for a lovely meal followed by a night out to Ballet, our server was friendly, and efficient considering the heavy traffic that time. The only pity is we waited for a long while for our ice-cream, and we were running out of time to enjoy it when it finally came.

I've been to McCormick & Schmick's in the past and this visit wasn't as good as previous. The food was not up to par in flavor or presentation. The texture of the risotto was off and was flavored differently from how it was described in the menu. The Atlantic Char was just OK. My wife's salmon was also fairly bland. It was disappointing.

Server was friendly, but didn't offer us bread, slow in refilling beverages. We had to flag down other servers to receive refills. When the food arrived, I took one bite and realized that it was covered in pepper (even though it wasn't mentioned on the menu). It took awhile to finally get someone's attention. Very nice person offered to recook my meal w/o pepper. My companions finished eating by the time I received my meal. It was very good, but since they were trying to hurry, the middle of the fish was not fully cooked. Also, the server cleared everyone's plates around me while I was trying to eat. Not enjoyable. Should have just cleared main plates. My husband loved his meal, as did my friend. Her husband's meal was so-so.

The food was very good. Really the only downside was the service. It was 15 minutes after being seated before we even had a server come by and welcome us / take a drink order. We had to ask for water refills after our glasses had been empty for quite awhile, we had to ask for bread though the other tables were receiving it. For the price, I really would have expected much better service. Very disappointing.

McCormick & Schmick's provided my wife and I with a very pleasurable dining experience. The hand-made martinis (shaken, not stirred) were, as my wife put it, yummy! For one appetizer we had the crab cake, which unlike most restaurants, was mostly crab not filler. Our other appetizer was the pan fried oysters which were very fresh and perfectly prepared (not over cooked). For entres, my wife had grilled halibut and I had rainbow trout with bay shrimp in a mild red pepper sauce. Excellent choices! McCormick & Schmick's is a great restaurant for poeple who love fresh seafood. I, for one love seafood and loved dining at McCormick & Schmick's.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/16/2008
I had the misfortune of dining at this restaurant on Sunday, March 16, 2008 for a 7:30PM reservation. First off, after ordering cocktails and martinis, we were informed that the restaurant no longer had any olives in stock to garnish our martinis/cocktails. Then, upon placing our order (for the prime rib that was advertised on a HUGE poster on the front door), we were informed that the restaurant was out of this selection. What kind of restaurant that advertises a "full service bar" does not have olives in stock? Why even advertise about the prime rib? I would not recommend this restaurant to any of my friends, co-workers, or even my enemies. (That goes for any location for this restaurant

This is the third time I've been to McCormick & Schmick's, twice for lunch, and this was the first time for dinner. As always, they did not disappoint me. The service was good (fast and friendly), and the food quality was excellent. My only concern was that the portions tend to be slightly smaller than other comparitively priced and rated restaurants. Other than that, the experience was good and chances are I will be back.

My husband and I enjoyed this restaurant for Valentine Day for the first time, and we were very pleased with the extremely large menu and the extensive list of fresh seafood for the day, while I kept it simple with the fish and chips I was not the least bit dissapointed, my husband of all people would get a steak at a fish house, but was not disspointed in that either, but I have to say the Lobster Bisque we enjoyed on this special night was extroidnary with huge chunks of lobster meat, I couldnt been more pleased, I hear you dont offer that all the time just ocassionally. I would come back time and time again if I was guaranteed that soup. Thanks for a memorable & enjoyable first valentines day as a married couple between my husband & me.
