Gracious hostess, reserved table for Valentine's Day, plenty of seafood on the menu. Waitress bungled our order for entree, but was gracious about it though nothing was comped when we had to share a first entree and then wait for the second identical one to be done to share again. Finally, ok, but not all that and a bag of chips for the money.

.I had made a reservation well ahead for McCormick's on Valentine's Day. One of the best parts of McCormicks is the dining room with its New England flavor. We were put at a table behind the bar not in the dining room. Missed the ambience and it was very noisy as the bar noise carried over. If this was the table we were to get I think it would have been good to mention when we made the reservation. I am a long time McCormick's fan with many dinners there. This one was a disappointment.

We very much enjoyed our first dining experience at McCormicks. We arrived before our reservation time but were seated early so we didn't have to wait. Our waiter did a great job taking care of us and the food was excellent! The one thing that took away from the evening was the location of our table which was close to the hostess area so there was alot of traffic and noise nearby. Otherwise a great experience!

May wife and I love dining at McCormicks. On Valentine's Day we had our unusual fine time. The menu, the waitstaff, and the meal and drinks were all pleasing. The music selections was nice but a little to loud, and it was turned down at our request, but only to come back on at the same volume again five or minutes later. The only meal question I had is about swordfish. I thought my wife's swordfish was on the dry and overcooked side, but maybe that is the nature of this fish?

My fiancée has a severe onion family allergy so we are somewhat limited in what we can order. She does have a love for lobster, so we share a 2 lb when we can. Mand S only had one and a half till the manager came over and said if we can wait a few minutes he would go over to sister restaurant, Morton's, to pick up a 2 lb er!! Staff was very accommodating with appetizer and sides so we were able to have a complete meal. Hats off to serving staff and kitchen

I have never had a plate of food come to my table that had great appeal, taste, and temperature in my entire life. With all this factors it made the night incredible! Thanks McCormick's, and we will be back. Brian

I took my wife and sister in law to McCormick's Fish House on Saturday to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was warm and welcoming. Our table was very comfortable and the lighting made the ambience very relaxing. There were four people in our party and we all ordered different things. One of the items I would recommend are the mussels. They are very fresh and come in a spicy butter sauce. Not a drop was left when the bowl was cleared from the table. The only disappointment was that they did little to acknowledge the birthday celebration. They knew that we were celebrating one and it would have been to nice to give that person a glass of wine or appetizer. Overall, it was a great evening.

Disappointing. Although on the menu, I was told they were out of swordfish and shark. After I ordered a mixed grill, the waiter came out of the kitchen to advise they had only one scallop (this is about 6:50 p.m.!) and the entrée provided for two. Charged $6.95 for one scallop but deducted $7.95 for gloppy spinach. Confusing, to say the least. Worse, my fish was dry and overcooked. My wife's trout needed salt and looked better than it tasted. Sadly, it was an uninspired dining experience in a tired restaurant. Conversely, the night before I had a superb fish dining experience at Il Fornaio - everything there way better and the waiter had great energy and enthusiasm, both missing from our McCormick's server.

When we come to Denver for business McCormick's was always on our list of resturants to visit. We had reservations on a Friday. We enjoyed our time before dinner in their timeless bar. Great drinks and wonderful service. Our reservation for dinner was at 7:15 and 2/3 rds of the dinning room was empty. When our server did show up we had to ask for water then bread. Someone else brought out or food. Should have believed the reviews I had read. We all had different items from the menu and we left feeling we could of had a better meal at Red Lobster!!! Our bill was over $250.00. So sad to see such a great resturant go down the drain. We will not be back!

We had reservations for 715pm and didn't get seated until almost 8pm. Apparently, it doesn't make any difference whether you have a reservation or not. I had the grilled salmon, and it was just ok. I could have gotten a better meal at Papadeux's or Red Lobster and paid a lot less. Disappointed.

Maybe I shouldn't be so hard on McCormick's. After all, it was New Year's eve. But if you make a reservation, then I believe the restaurant should do their best to honor the time. We ended up waiting 30 minutes past our reservation before they brought out another table and set it up for us. If it wasn't for the extra table, I don't know when we would have been seated. It took 15 minutes to get a glass of water and another 15 minutes to get a bottle of wine. We pretty much finished the wine before our salads arrived. On a positive note, our waiter "Mario" was outstanding. He apologized throughout the night for delays (not his fault) and really tried saved the evening for us. I would go back again - just to have him as our waiter.

We have been to this restaurant many times, and something happened that changed it completely! We think perhaps they werebought out by a lesser owner because the atmosphere had changed, and the food had changed for the worse. We won't be going back anytime soon. This is a century old hotel dining room. Landry's management, I was told by the staff, dictates the music to be played. So we were in this beautiful classic turn of the century dining room, with quasi-hip-hop-pop funk playing rather loudly. I am a music lover and a romantic, and the Landry's management needs to correct this is intolerable music-place mismatch. This poor music choice sullies the historic ambiance of the otherwise great food, and service dining room.

Christmas Eve may not be the best time to eat at this restaurant. We were 1/2 hour late being seated, given a table just inside the door that was a very busy and noisy area, the food was not nearly as good as usual and our experience was only fair. Generally, this restaurant is a very good experience and the food quite good, so I suspect it is the result of too many people on a very busy night. We probably won't go back on holidays.

Christmas eve dinner took 2.5 hours. After seated, it took 15 minutes before wait staff took our drink and appetizer order. The appetizers came within minutes but the drinks still didn't arrive for another 10 minutes. After two bites, we were asked for our dinner order. We asked for a few minutes to just enjoy our current service. After ordering our meals, we then waited 30 minutes for our salads and then another 30 minutes for our dinner. Service came in waves with long intervals in between. Food was then luke warm but good. Kitchen and wait staff needs to improve to create a better flow of food and service for a $200 meal for two.

Our group reservation was booked in a private room, even though we didn't request it -- nice touch but actually too cavernous for a table of 7, plus the acoustics of piped-in music in a confined space ended up competing against our conversation. The server was extremely attentive and patient despite two particular challenges we presented: (1) Two guests were very late, and we refused to order until everyone had arrived; and (2) One guest neglected to announce her food allergy up front, and had to ask for her meal to be re-prepared without certain ingredients. The food was tasty and a good value, and I got to enjoy leftovers for two days (I took home my friend's meal since she couldn't eat it and I wouldn't allow the restaurant to comp it.)
