Our server was clearly overwhelmed and it showed in every aspect of the service. He was sweating the entire time from drink order to check presentation. It almost caused us to lose our appetite. The food came out room temperature, the soft drinks were flat. I was very disappointed because this restaurant has been a favorite of mine for quite some time.

I took my wife here for Mother's Day. She said it was the best restaurant meal she's ever had. They had her favorite fish, Cobia, and it was cooked perfectly. I had one of the center cut steaks and it was very good. We also indulged in the shrimp bacon appetizer and the chocolate bag for desert, both were amazing. We enjoyed our reservation and would go back on another special occasion.

Had a great experience for Mother' s day, the staff was very accomodating and professional. The meal was pricey but it was expected, the salmon special was a littile over done for my liking, but the ribeye steak simply was the simply superb, barely no fat, and very tender and juicy. I was quite impressed with our waiter and while we waited a little extra for our food due to a well done steak, he made up for it with a Ceasar salad at no charge for my sister who was starving, and delighted my mom with a special treat for her birthday!!!

This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I have to say I don't think I will be back. We waited a very long time to be greeted by a waiter and the service only got worse from there. In this type of restaurant every waiter should have tasted what is on the menu and be able to explain each item. When we asked the waiter for details of a possible dinner selection, she explains she heard it was good. She offered no recommendations, our drinks were not asked to be refilled, plates were not removed from table, and she did not once ask us if we needed anything. Thank goodness the food was delicious - it was the only thing that saved the night.

Reservation promptly honored for our party of 3. Wedge salads were delicious as were all 3 entrees (tilapia, scallops, flounder). Only snag was the fruit relish atop the tilapia contained red/green bell peppers (not mentioned on the menu), which my wife is very allergic to. Our server, Brigit, whisked away the meal and returned several minutes later with a new preparation. A senior manager stopped by our table during the interval to tell us the kitchen was expediting a new order. We split the (somewhat pricey) Chocolate Bag dessert between the 3 of us. Pre-tiip bill was $150+ with 2 glasses of wine.

Taking a client out to lunch, and wondered why I had not thought of going to McCormick & Schmick's lately. The reason was I had forgotten how poor the food was. Shame on me for making the same mistake. My shrimp entree was over cooked and under cooked (different types), and they were so small (size - 35-40 per pound?) it was comical. My Client's fish was equally unremarkable. I love the restaurant space, and remember when the food was good. Unfortunately, that boat has sailed

My fiance and I were very disappointed. The whole restaurant was almost empty but yet we were seated right next to another table that was occupied. Made no sense. Our water glasses were not constantly filled if empty, the waitress hardly ever came over to check on us and the food was just ok. My petite filet was a flat piece of meat vs a small thick piece. We really expected our experience to be much more for the money we were paying.

We had a great meal before heading off to a concert. The service was prompt and efficient. The appetizer of Oysters was served promptly and the Bronzini, whole fish, was fabulous. Not too full or uncomfortable for a nice walk over to the concert hall in Philadelphia. Added pleasure to a very nice evening.

We went based on reviews and were not disappointed, however our waiter had a very large party and was not very attentive. The blackened mahi-mahi and the assorted seafood entree were both delicious and nice presentation. The second floor has individual rooms (paneled booths) for more intimate gatherings. Would definitely make a return visit when back in philly.

For our Saturday pre-concert dinner the two of us were taken upstairs to a booth that could seat six; very little sound reached us from the main dining room below. For starters we shared five crisp yet tender buttermilk fried oysters and (from the spring menu) a delicious but slightly underseasoned asparagus and arugula salad. My wife loved the cobia with forbidden rice (from the spring menu); I fully enjoyed the lobster Cobb salad, but wish it had been served with additional lettuce. A modest Chardonnay complemented the meal. Unfortunately, dessert was not an option as we had to leave for a concert. It was wonderful not being in a noisy, closely packed environment as is too often the case in center city regardless of price.

My husband and I and our two boys, 14 & 16, decided to do something different for Easter dinner. We got the cozy balcony table, kids thought it was cool. We all loved our meals, sea scallops, mahi/mahi, swordfish and shrimp scampi, we all agree the blackened mahi/mahi was the best! Also had yummy steamed mussels and the featured raw oysters for my husband. Would definitely go back.

I was celebrating my 4 th Wedding anniversary with my husband and wedding party from our wedding as we do every year and our goal is to choose different downtown restaurants.... Upon arrival I was excited to see the intimate touch on the menu . Out server's name was SALEEM (I believe ) it was obvious he was new to your team . He did not introduce himself nor did he assist us with explanAtion of menu items or chef speciLties for the evening, we had to ask for bread and he never returned to check on my steak I ordered or to ask if we needed anything . There was a distracting kids party next to our table. The food was delicious . My friends and I drove along way paid for parking and walked a mile to your place , WE WANTED YOUR BEST!!!

We came here with a reservation on a Saturday night. We were seated upstairs in a private area with a very nice waiter who knew a lot about the food we ordered. He came back often to check up on us as we ate our delicious meal. We had battered oyster and calamari for appetizers and they were both very filling and delicious. The entrees we had were crabcakes, seared salmon with brie, and fish and chips. They were all very good and we will be returning in the near future to try some more.

We were in Philly for a conference and were told by our boss not to bring back any of our per diem so we decided to go big one night. The rib eye was tender and flavorful. The chopped salad was excellent, and the lobster mashed potatoes and the roasted red pepper mashed taters were to die for. My dining companion is quite a picky eater and very demanding and our waitress never batted an eye. She was sweet, friendly, and professional. In fact, we saw her later at the hotel bar and she came over and chatted with us, saying it was a pleasure to serve us! Overall, it was an excellent meal. I would definitely return!

We are from the suburbs and do not come to the city of Philadelphia. When we do we always dine at your restaurant. Thursday we attended the opera matinee it was so easy to book with open table. We use open table for reservations all the time. However I didn't know we could obtained points for open dining. However, I asked the hostess about how to register points and she said don't worry about it.

My wife joined me for dinner before a concert and we were disappointed. The service was not attentive or professional. All of a sudden it felt like the place I enjoy for business lunches was being run by college kids. Drinks were slow to come, bread was slow to come, my wife's appetizer (delicious fried oysters) came out but my salad did not. The flustered runner mumbled something and ran back to the kitchen for it, returning a few minutes later. Worst of all, my wife ordered a chopped salad with breaded chicken as her entree. She asked for the dressing on the side, but of course it came heavily dressed. The greens were pale and wilted and the whole thing was unappetizing looking and incredibly bland. I will not be bringing her back.

Several years ago, this restaurant was clean, very well stocked and the staff was courteous. Today such a disappointment! Took about five minutes for someone to acknowledge us. Server was OK, but it seemed like he didn't want to be there. My wife ordered a pina colada. Waiter said they do not make them because they don't have a blender. A full service bar without a blender? Instead ordered raspberry iced tea. Asked for second one and waiter said they were out of raspberry flavoring. I ordered a second beer and didn't get it for about 10 minutes. Waiter finally came over and said they were changing kegs. Hard to believe I drank the last beer when there were no customers in the place! Food was average at best.
