There aren't many great restaurants in Tacoma, so I was really looking forward to eating at Bite. Overall I'd say they need to step it up a bit. While everything was OK, food, service, etc. there is room for improvement in almost every area. Floor staff was friendly, but knowledge was lacking. My drink arrived without a garnish, and when I asked for a lemon twist, I got a piece of lemon peel. Food was mostly good, but both clams and fish were overcooked.

We had a large family group including two service dogs and they did a nice jcob taking care of us. The presentation of the food was lovely and the restaurant was quiet enough for us to be able to visit and actually hear each other without having to shout. The menu was nicely able to accomodate all the varied food needs of our diverse group with selections of meat, seafood, and vegetarian choices as well as appetizers portions that were generous enough to be a full entree.

The food was great and the service was fine, there is not much to choose from on the very limited menu. Also, it's just expensive for a place that you feel bought all of its furniture at ikea and it was about to break on you.

Bite at the Murano hotel, trendy and beautifully decorated hotel, has the look and atmosphere you can find in Miami or NYC . although the night we went was very quiet .. but Tacoma is quiet , no ? I had linguini & scallops, creamy ( a little bit too creamy) and rich in flavors . My husband has a kobe burger that he didn't enjoy . The berry sorbet was good . The overall experience was good .

We were surprised by what a cosmopolitan place the Murano Hotel is and were looking forward to lunch at Bite. While the space is nice and the service was decent, the food was very average, particularly given the somewhat high price. The charcuterie plate was quite good. The salads were average but certainly nothing to crow about.

We were surprised with as few customers in the restaurant how slow the service was. Food presentation was great. I did have to return my salmon to be cooked longer, so the chef gave me a new portion, and the waitress did give me a discount for the trouble. The menu was overpriced in some items.

It was just ok. Everyone else in my party got their food WAY before me. They were out of white chocolate cheesecake. My dessert of choice. My fries were undercooked. And it is $14 for Mac n cheese. MAC AND CHEESE!! I had the prime rib French dip which was tasty but i didnt care for the bread it came on. It was covered in grease or butter so i had to constantly wipe my fingers off.I wasn't impressed and won't be returning. Unless they have an amazing happy hour which i doubt. I gave it 3 stars because the staff was very nice.

Bite is a nice venue in the upscale Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma that I would like to see succeed. Based on our recent visit, however, there are several areas for improvement before I could give it four or five stars. There seems to be a disconnect between the pricing and the service setting. For example, we had the rib eye and flat iron steaks for dinner ($33 and $24 respectively) which were served on plastic table tops with place mats. We ordered one of the more expensive bottles on the wine list (a Page Syrah) yet the wine glasses provided were the small, heavy duty variety. Service was friendly but not quite seamless. Both steaks were ordered medium rare but one came from the kitchen cooked medium. Hope they continue to work on it!

The reviews weren't THAT great online and now I know WHY. I decided to give BITE the benefit of my doubtfor a dinner date and the food left much to be desired. I ordered to the Spicy Prawns as a starter (the only good dish I had all night) and the Scallop Fet--- scallops over cooked and rubbery, noodles not cooked all the way through. My partner was not satisfied with her meal either. The wine I will say was superb. It was a cab though I forget the name. I would not suggest this restaurant to anyone. Food is below par and not worthy of the prices they beg.

Went for a family dinner out on Sunday. Unlike a lot of posters who noted slow service (maybe on Valentines Day?) our server was very attentive and prompt. Food was good but nothing extraordinary; it's a nice hotel restaurant at heart. Kudos for bringing food out HOT on warm plates! Miss the views that the old Altezzo restaurant at the top of the Sheraton-now-Murano had.
