We like to try placed that aren't chains. So we gave Luke's a chance. Food was ok, however for the price we paid it was overpriced. It was good for a one time try. But we won't be back because of the cost to what you get. I can get more else where for less.

The steaks we had were the best that we have eaten in recent memory, wasn't a big fan of the blue cheese scalloped potatoes, but I had to try them, the steamed mussels were great don't hesitate to get an order of those you won't be disappointed. They have a small bar you can set at and eat at the bartender was great she was very busy but still took the time to talk to everyone setting at the bar. We had a table with reservations and got seated late as tables were not available and they compt. our drinks. I'll be back!

Luke's was a pleasant surprise, i mean i didnt expect what i came into by the outside looks and location of the SteakHouse. Dress was Business Casual. Our waitress was really sweet and accommodating. Seating was roomy enough for a big guy like myself. I was glad to see the steaks come out with a Potato and Vegetable, both of my choice. The desert tray was great. (I know, We ate most of it) I have eaten at many steak houses over the last 25 years in Denver. Downtown, south of town, west of town and up North. This was my first time at Luke's. Great Job Guys, one of the best steaks I have had on a long time. Great deal for the price! I would recommend this to all!

We recently visited Luke's for a birthday celebration and immediately encountered problems with the reservation. I had a confirmation from Open Table but the restaurant had no record of it. Luckily, since we arrived early in the evening we were able to be seated. The steaks are consistently excellent and well prepared. Two of us ordered steamed asparagus and while it was good, the Hollandaise sauce had no flavor; it should be re-worked or eliminated. The other sides, baked white and sweet potatoes were fine. It was a busy night but we had a long wait for all of the service. The wait person was friendly and gracious, but we waited over 45 minutes for anything but drinks on the table. The quality has declined.

We've been to Luke's a few times over the years and it was ok. I thought we'd try it again and I was pleasantly surprised! I always remembered the salads as great and the steak as good but this time, the food, including the steak was excellent. They've remodeled the inside so it's a little softer and more welcoming. Love it and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

I took my family out to thank them for helping me and Luke's has ALWAYS been very good; this time, it just wasn't. The steak was "okay", not as tasty as usual. The bread was cut when it was either not fully cooked or too hot and we received flat strips of bread--and I mean FLAT--not slices! The side were very disappointing. The scalloped potatoes were overcooked and too salty and my grilled asparagus was burned, crispy! Alternately, the salad was excellent except we were trying to divide one not full bowl at first then they finally brought out another small bowl for the table; the coffee was fresh and hot. We did make reservations and the restaurant had only a very few patrons inside but we were seated in the back by the kitchen!!

Even cooked as ordered at medium well , (and they hit that right the first time) this steak was tender and by far the best I've had in town.salad family style was a little over dressed for my tastes but the meal overall was fantastic. A little pricy but for the steak lover in me well worth the price.

Heard about this restaurant from a websie I read about food, sites to frequent. I am a vegetarian, why go to Lukes? It was a birthday celebration for our younger son. My salad, and two vegetable sides were very adequate. The others in the party including two grandkids under 10, had macs and cheese, spagetti, while the other family members had terrific steak dinners. Love the low key yet nice ambiance, the neighbor flare, not overly fancy or overbearing.

I hate commercials and the music that is playing at the Bar (right on the other side of restaurant seating 1/2 wall) is a radio station with commercials. Really. For the price of our meals I would expect a little more out of the ambiance. We have visited 2 times and doubt we'll be coming back. There were only a few tables seated both times and the timing of the meals was not what one should expect. Here is a tip, if there is a kid at the table, more times than not all families want the kids food out first. Or at least with the salad course that took way too long. And DON'T put the Mac & Cheese bowl in the oven! Telling a toddler that the plate is extremely hot is ludicrous. Kids meals should not have bowls that can burn you.

We were celebrating our anniversary and we were looking forward to a nice quiet dinner. For the price, we expected it to be a lot more upscale than what it was. The food was wonderful but honestly not worth the price. There were kids crying at the table next to us and we had the pleasure of listening to the waiters drama about who was cheating on who as he talked with the other servers. It was weird and disappointing. The service was nice, not outstanding but not bad. The people were friendly but it wasn't what we were looking for. For the price and wanting a night out without kids, this wasn't the place for us.

While the place looked like it would produce a great experience, I was disappointed. I took an out-of-town visitor there, and I was thankful the company was paying. The prices are too high for relatively mediocre food. I ordered a steak, since it is a steak place, and it was overcooked and, like I said, nothing special. I've had better at the Outback, for a lot less money.

I have had better filet from chain restaurants for less then I had from Luke's and my friend had a ribeye that was tough and grisly. I had tried Luke's a few years ago and had tried it again this time after seeing reviews thinking maybe it had changed....I now know why I never went back the first time. They can do better or lower their prices to the quality they serve as $35 for a filet should be a darn good melt in your mouth piece of meat.

Our sons love steak, so we went to Luke's for our oldest's 23rd birthday. The food was fabulous, the portions generous and the wait staff very attentive. The new owner, Mike, came around personally to see how we were enjoying our meal. Luke's is a bit pricey, so we don't go there very often, but it's always a real treat when we do. I recommend it for special occasions or anytime you just have to have a great steak.

Even after reading other reviews, we decided to go to Luke's. We were easily able to get a reservation for 6:30 on a Saturday evening. The calamari appetizer was so-so. Both salads were swimming in parmesan cheese. We both ordered steaks with different sides - mine with sauted spinach and a baked potato. I will swear that spinach NEVER saw the inside of a pan - it was tossed with some garlic pieces and just waved over the pan. Hence the spinach leaves were not in anyway wilted let alone sauted, and barely warm. My boyfriend's pan fried potatoes were WAY overcooked - not burnt but HARD- not crunchy. The steaks were okay - I could grill the same quality. The wait staff was not terrible but sort of smarmy... Bottom line, we won't be back.

We sat at 7 pm. Our entrees were not served until 9:15 pm. Our waiter abandoned us for over an hour. We had to hail a passing busser to get anyone to check on our order. Apparently there was a 24-top birthday party in the private room that required all of the wait staff to schlep alcoholic beverages rather than serve their assigned guests. Those of us who ordered beef medium rare got medium well shoe leather, and no one bothered to asked whether the meals were properly prepared. We have been loyal customers for years, but we will not be back to Luke's.
