I went with my parents on a weeknight. It was quiet and there were only tree or four other tables occupied. Seemed like there was ample space for groups, though, perhaps for special occasions. The service was slow, though. I think it was intentional, to not rush us, but my parents were getting fidgety because by 8 o'clock, we'd spent two hours ordering and eating. Good food - nothing terribly inventive,, but definitely some solidly delicious Italian food.

Seemed like a mixed crowd, some dates and some groups. Service was good and the food portions were large. We ordered the fried Calimari and it was cooked perfectly. Our first time there but we would return even if it was just for drinks and Calamari.

Great food, good service. A bit dark inside. Music was playing early for dinner and was loud, made it hard to hear server or talk to people at the table. Specials were hard to consider, because there were alot and they were all verbalized. I would come back again, but id probably make sure that it was a night were there was no music. Thanks.

Restaurant was excellent, first time there. We had excellent service, food choices were great and food was perfect. The drinks were well done and served timely. It was a bit noisy due to the "Pub Crawl" event going on in town. Dessert peanut butter cheesecake was fantastic. Definately will be coming back to try other selections. Glad they offered small plate plus entree for those who do not want all that food. Overall would give a 5 star, nice little find in Phoenixville for Italian.

Decor and lighting was not very romantic, which was okay, except the prices on the menu were a bit higher. The bar setup and live music was great, but the food and service / apparell was average. I would suggest it as a good place to go and have appetizers or their pizzas and small plates, but not as a fine dining or more romantic place.

Everything was absolutely wonderful, from the Escarole soup, the fresh salad (which came with the Entree - a nice feature), to our linguine and clam dishes and eggplant parmigiana. We even had desserts which were outstanding. Our waitress was one of the best we've ever had - attentive but not annoyingly so. This is becoming one of our favorite Italian restaurants!

The ambience was good, nice restaurant set up and excellent bar with live music. Had a 7 pm Saturday reservation for 4 and we were seated right away, from that point on the service went downhill. It was clear that there were not enough servers and the kitchen did not communicate with the waitresses. After placing our order, we waited and waited and then I was approached by the server asking what did I order again? The server then appeared 4 different times with news like, we ran out of the spinach soup, and we don't have the pasta, etc. I would go again and hope the servers would get their act together.

My 2 previous visits over the last year were quite lackluster; poor/slow service and disappointing food. After waiting too long to make Saturday night reservations at my usual places I decided to give Pepperoncini one last try. This time service was excellent, seated immediately, quickly greeted by a knowledgable server and our food was delivered hot and in a timely fashion. The one big turn off is the overall smell of the place. They just cannot get rid of the legacy smoke smell of the previous tenant - a grungy pool hall. Also the fact that the entryway carpet is wet and mushy is a bit gross. So if you can bring yourself to overcome your initial reactions from the entry, it appears Pepperoncini has finally grown into their own.

I didn't know what to expect, but had heard good things. I tend to be somewhat unforgiving when it comes to Italian cuisine because I'm Italian. Pepperoncini's has made me a believer that you can get excellent Italian cuisine outside of my kitchen. Lobster ravioli was wonderful, but the penne al la vodka was amazing. The menu was concise with a southern Italian focus. We had a table of four so sampled several items. What they offer -- they do well. It was a bit noisy, but there was a live singer in the next room who was easy to listen to. The service was attentive. We had a great time and the food was fabulous!! Will definitely go back again and again!!

The food and the service were really great. The taste of everything we ordered was great and would order again. The only two minor constructive comments would be the presentation of the food was not the best and the prices of some of our food was a little higher than expected. We visited this little gem, tucked on the ground floor of a hotel (which is why I did not rate the ambiance higher) for the first time.It was full on a Wednesday evening!Several types of crostini tempted:we settled on gorgonzola/roasted red pepper - creamy rich and delicious. We are anxious to try the other types. We split the very large portobella salad: pine nuts and berries contrasted the saltiness of gorgonzola crumbles (we are gorgonzola addicts). This very lightly dressed salad was a hit. My husband's baked clams were a bit overcooked but tasty. I really the liked the Margherita pizza, and my husband's small plate veal chop was tender and flavorful.Wonderful place for this vegetarian and her carnivore husband. Back soon!

Interesting, creative menu with great small plates. Rustic Italian cuisine that was a step above anything we've had in a long time. My husband and I shared 2 small plates and dessert and it was all perfect. Great wine list with bottles you don't see often but should all of which were reasonably priced. I can't say enough about Aaron, our host, I can't call him just a waiter because he was so knowledgeable about the food and wine that he was a step above too. We will certainly return soon.

We had been to this restaurant a few times. This time we returned with a large group. The food was very good, the service was excellent and we all had a really nice time. The serving sizes are huge - as is common in Italian restaurants. My husband always enjoys their meatball appetizer and there are more than enough to share (same with most of their appetizers).

Love Gnocchi alla Sophia Loren! Chopped salad was very good also. A bit disappointed with the Tortellini Sfatto as it was very salty. The Parma Pomodoro was not what we expected, but was pretty tasty. It took a while for our group of nine to figure out our individual bills (4 bills requested, but we were told that only two credit cards per table could be accepted. Understandable, but a bit of a pain for us to figure out.)

We were a party of 4, first time here, looking for some good home-cooked Italian food. Overall food was moderate. We all ordered something different to try everything out. Calamari good with basil aioli, not the marinara. Didn't offer enough traditional pasta options for entrees and the marinara needs work. Entree menu is small which I normally don't like big menus but I like to be wow'ed by creativity of a selective menu. I felt entrees were too similiar, especially in the sauce. Our server was great and knowledgeable. Food portion good. Good job on the martini's and the variety for wine by the glass. Valet parking a plus and valet staff, very friendly.

It was a fun night. The food was delicious and the service was terrific. Laura our waitress was great. We were a party of 8 and got sat in the back room. In the long run that was a good thing as the bar got really loud once the live music started at 9. (btw- while the musician played great songs- his singing was a bit off- bar was hopping though when we left at 10 or so) The round table (although a covered banquet table amd banquet chairs)was perfect for our group because long tables for large parties are difficult. All in all it was a fun night, good food and ovearll, we'd go back again!

The food was phenomenal, particularly the crab-stuffed portobello small plate, which we had as an appetizer. Service was extremely friendly. We didn't go to the bar area, but it looked like a good, high class bar and a nice alternative to some of the other Phoenixville bars. If you pass by and think that it's weird to go eat in the basement of a hotel, give it a try and you'll be impressed.
