Wonderful setting, great room. Menu somewhat limited but interesting and very well prepared. The wine list is too pricey, too few moderate options and no American wines. What's with that?

This time around, everything was fantastic. I mentioned in the last review that they just need to be consistent in both food and service. Overall, I would come back and would recommend it to others.

Had an 8pm dinner reservation w/ some friends on a Friday night. Wasn't crowded when we got there, but it was hopping once we left around 10:30pm! The food is FANTASTIC. The service is quick, attentive and very friendly. The gazpacho is one of the best I've ever tasted. I love that they use local produce. Well done!!

This was the third time I've dined here. The food and service was a bit disappointing this time around. They seem to be inconsistent. The ambiance is fantastic, they just need to get the service and menu down. The lobster salad was a bit bland and there's too much curry in the monk fish dish and not enough fish.

  • Montauk is a refreshing change
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

Montauk is a refreshing change from the rest of the Hamptons, and this place combines the best of Montauk's low-key style with a very high quality menu. The service is outstanding. We ate outdoors in the courtyard of the hotel, and the environment was relaxed and very friendly for kids. We ate early, but it was obvious that this place will be hopping when the early-bird-with-kids crowd gets replaced with the younger, hipper seating. Reluctantly recommended, because when people start flocking here...but such is life!

Food was very disappointing. Focusing on the kitchen as much as the aesthetic would make me want to come back. Service was the best thing they have going on even if you don't want to finish the plates they bring.

  • A good place to hang out!

The food (dinner) was not amazing and very expensive for what we got, but the place is great just to hang out with friends and have after dinner drinks. I dont recommend eating there but I do recommend the bar and outdoor terrace for later.

At first arrival we thought the place was really well presented, this was prior to the screaming groups at the dinner tables, the overly crowed bar, where the bar men rarely paid attention to your request and the generally over priced food and drinks.I had to wait an hour almost to get my credit card back from the bartender. I ordered drinks to him to close, and for some reason he couldnt care less and left me standing there. The food was regular to bad, the waiters were extremely rude, and unprofesional to the undesirably noise sorrounding the ambience. With the setup and architecture of the place one would expect and feel the desire of a nice experience when rather it was quite a fail.

  • Don't get the oysters!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

A restaurant that will/can be good. They'll need to hire another bartender, or a helpful bar back, even for a Tuesday night. Problem number one: The place is new but when the hostess tells you to sit at the bar to wait for your reserved table and then promptly forgets you, we're off to a bad start. Problem two: As if to make up for forgetting you they tell you to sit back at the bar and order an appetizer. You assume it's free or at least discounted. Well, they said the oysters were great. So you receive a dozen of the smallest oysters you've ever had and get hit with a $36 buck bill. Bottom line: hamburgers were quite good, as was the bean salad. Oysters were a joke--go to South Edison's happy hour for dollar oysters!

This place was overrated in an article we'd read, pleasant but nothing special- the food choices were limited and aside from burgers not kid friendly. Even the pizza was too spicy for one of our adult guests, this was not stated in menu. Portions were small- the table next to ours sent the pie back for a larger slice. It has potential but needs work.

Brand new restauarant, just getting out the kinks. Very unprofessional wait staff, european imports for the summer. Interesting dishes, except my fish wasn't edible. It was rubbery, and couldn't eat it. Wierd green sauce - too green, like wierd green. They made up for it by not charging me for it - that was the right thing to do.

The menu is very limited for appetizers and had all of 6 entrees, aside from pizza. I had the arctic char which was very good, but the portion size was ok. Desserts too were limited in choice. With one drink for my companion and myself, I thought the dinner was pricey for what you got, coming to about $70 per person. The wait staff is very young and somewhat inexperienced.

If you are into location and a scene then this is the place. The food was okay for the price and clientele. Most items on the menu appeared to have fresh ingredients just lacked in preparation. Fish I had was bland and overcooked. My husband's burger (hard to mess that up) was underseasoned and tasted like it came frozen from the grocery store. The wood oven pizzas appeared to be tasty but honestly $30 for a pizza that's just okay?? There are much better food (and drink) options in Montauk. On a positive, will say the waiter we had was really great.
