The worst steak I have ever had. Arguments between staff within five feet of our table. The waiter, though a nice young man was obviously new. We were moved from our table for what I assumed were "more important" guests only to watch the table sit empty, Never again !

Roomy fine dining restaurant. My wife and I met a highschool friend and her husband here for dinner, my wife had not seen the friend for over 40 years. We spent the first 2 hours catching up. The restaurant was very accommodating and let us talk wiht out any concern from when we might order, much appreciated. For starters we either enjoyed soup or one of several salad selections, all well prepared and a large portion. Our entree choices included salmon, veal parmesean, and talapia, all well prepared, tasty, and again, large portions. We were visiting from out of town or could have taken home a doggy bag to enjoy the uneaten portions the next day. Wine list adequate, would like more high end selections. Definitely would go back.

I made a reservation to take my g/f to dinner for her b-day. We were placed at a large table in a private room that was PERFECT. The ambiance was pleasant, although it was a little warm and the music was turned up too high. The waiter was fantastic. We had wine which was great, a special appetizer which was pumpkin-filled ravioli - this was AMAZING, never had something like that before (you definitly need to make this a regular on the menu!), and enjoyed a tomato mozzerella salad. I had the pasta bar for dinner and my g/f had a chicken italiana dish. Both were excellent. And the best part was the price was quite fair ($60 for a special occassion dinner for 2). Overall a wonderful experience. Would definitly come back.

We were there for Thanksgiving Buffet. The food for a buffet was decent. The ambience was just fair as we were in a barren ballroom, but it was fine. It was a bit of a struggle to get coffee during our mail. Overall, not bad, but not great.

I had high expectations for Tavola, especially being in the Springfield Country Club. The ambiance was nice, but there was a large party in the dining room and it was quite loud - it was also cold. The server was great - very nice, pleasant and helpful. The food, on the other hand, was not great. I got a simple pasta dish which was okay and my mother got the shrimp scampi which was soupy (closer to a Thai dish than Italian). I'm glad I tried them out, but I won't be back.

Tavola was a great experience. I did a web search to find an event and found Tavola. I wanted to take my best friend somewhere for her birthday. It was great, she loved it and the food was fresh and delicious. I planned to bring my toddler there, but didn't think it would be a place for him (because of the setting of Springfield Country Club), but I saw a few other toddlers there and they were all received & treated well. This is going on the list as one of my favorites!

This was our first visit to Tavola and it was a positive one. The food was very good, as well as the service. We stayed for an after dinner drink at the bar and dance to the music provided by the DJ. Unfortunately when the dinner crowd left, the place was kinda desolate (and this was a Saturday night!) and even though the DJ was very accomodating, there was next to no one at the bar to enjoy it. Maybe they should do a little advertising, promoting the bar entertainment.

I was very disappointed with the brunch on Sunday. I found that the food was not even adequate with absolutely no creativity. Believe me, I can prepare a better brunch! I chose to take my family there because of a very positive experience in the past. The room was a disappointment and I felt that we could have had a better brunch at almost any other restaurant in the area. I will not return again.

This was a wonderful, relaxing lunch that we enjoyed so much. Nothing was too much trouble for our waitress even while we were lingering long after we finished. The patio overlooked the golf course. The restaurant was part of a country club. The restaurant was housed in a beautiful French or Italian style building that invited visitors to enter and have a good time. A great experience overall.

Service was friendly but painfully slow. Tables were not cleared off from previous diners making the place seem understaffed or just unclean. Not busy on a Saturday night. The "crowd" there was mixed. Some were dressed very nicely, while others were in shorts and t-shirts. Just an odd environment. The food was ordinary. First and last time for us.

I took my family to the Sunday brunch to celebrate a wedding engagment. Bring a sweater, the room we were in was freezing. Selection was good; standard breakfast selections and fruit all good quality. Cold seafood mix was a nice touch, but clams were a little strong. Carving station small (I did not notice it the first time up, but maybe I was distracted by the omelet station ;-), and desserts limited (mostly cakes- but the chocolate cake was delicious) If you have kids, there was a chocolate fountain. I would probably try another place before I go back, but if it's close to you, it's not bad for the money.

Our server, Anthony, was outstanding, and he made us feel very welcome. I can't say the same for the maitre d', only because we were asked by opentable.com to introduce ourselves upon arrival, and when we did, she made no reply but only asked someone else to show us to our table. Our meal was outstanding; all three of us felt the same way. The only thing that keeps me from giving the food five stars was the disappointing bread basket, which held very dry bread. I was happy that there was olive oil on the table, but the cruet felt oily and sticky, and the oil itself did not look appetizing. Everything else was wonderful. Thank you.

I took my wife to Tavola's for her birthday and thought the food was very good. The only issue that we had was our server. She was very unattentive, it took forever to get the check, and the worst was when I requested to take to rest of my dinner home she brought out small boxes for us to scoop our food into. That is a deal breaker. I am not spending over $100.00 on dinner and having to package up my own leftovers. I am paying Tavola to take care of all my dinner needs that night.

We went for the Alaskan crab legs, which were wonderful! The restaurant is really nice, very clean and tasteful. We were disappointed that it took almost one hour for our dinner to arrive. There were only 2 other tables in the dining room and 3 outside. What was more frustrating was that our waiter seemed inexperienced - instead of explaining to us that there was a delay, offering a basket of rolls, or checking to see if we needed more cocktails, he ignored us. My husband eventually called him over to the table so that we could order more drinks. Thank you, Jackie Kreydt

I am sharing the Father's Day brunch, not the recent June 20 lunch which was great. Father's Day,was so much less than the Mother's Day brunch. There were places where food was not available for long periods of time. In fact, at the dessert area there was a bowl with an upside down plate in it that stayed that way the entire time. It looked like there might have been a thick pink pudding in it at one time. I had a crab cake that was very good. When another pan can out I took another crab cake, the taste was not good. Thank goodness, the wait staff was on the ball, except we had to ask for our "free drink".

Lunch here on June 20 was great. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the food and service. Cecelia Samar helped me in several ways. Not only did she check why points had not been added for the brunch we had on Father'sday ( she even called Open Table), she also supported me as my lunch partner was late. She had ordered a take-out for me and when I saw my friend it was taken in stride and we were seated.

Disappointed, generally. We ordered the mozzarella app which was described on the menu as slices of mozzarella fried in a light batter. What came out was mozzarella sticks that you buy frozen in a box with heavy breading (pizzeria style). I'm also assuming the server completely forgot about us because our apps took over 20 minutes to arrive and 20 minutes passed after she gave us the check (which we had to wait forever to ask for) and before swiping the credit card. I won't be going back.

Tavola was obviously underprepared for Mother's Day brunch. They seemed to have overbooked and understaffed. Even with reservations we had to wait in a +30 min line to be seated - the delay was caused by their policy of paying first. Though tacky, this move allowed them to charge a 19% service fee, for parties of all sizes, which they never would have received from someone who had experienced the service. The table linens were not changed between guests and unused silverware was left over. I considered hosting a wedding party at Tavola, but will definitely find somewhere more professional and better prepared!

They must have given 100 people a reservation for the same time, and they were requiring that all guests pay before being seated. After more than 30 minutes, the line had hardly moved. The staff was completely rude and unapologetic when pressed for an explanation. We left without eating. I will never go back again.

The service was not great. The erstuarant was not busy at all the night we visited, a Monday. Our waiter was rather young and did not seem to grasp the finer details of good service. We were left for a long period without anyone taking a drink order, and the length of time it took for the waiter to ultimately return to take our meal order seemed very long. Then, when we started ordering, he said that he needed to get a pen and paper to write everything down! (Why is it that waitstaff no longer seem to write orders down?!? Don't they realize they may forget something?) Overall, the food was quite good, but the service was lacking.

We went to this restaurant on Easter - not something I would do again. It was packed and the service was terrible. I was told when I called about the price that it was 24.99 pp. but I was charged $133 for 4 people. I can only conclude that we were charged a hefty gratuity which was ridiculous considering we served ourselves and couldn't even get drinks when we needed them. Food was ok. We did not even receive a full place setting - one fork sald, meal and dessert. It was difficult to get a drink and when we did, the glass was so small and filled with ice there were about 2 sips in it. Would not recommend Tavola.
