Food was excellent - the lobster rangoon and noodles with skirt steak were our favorites. Recommend the Yang Scorpion Bowl for groups. Our waitress was great; perfectly attentive. Can't wait to go back!

Had a fun evening at Red Laturn. Our group enjoyed the mix of modern and Asian themed decor. The service was excellent and the food yummy. The space is big and open so the noise level is on the loud side.

Great modern asian decor and ambiance, with funky background club / lounge music, made me think of a Buddha Bar style. Service was excellent, drinks very tasty, and food was very good.

Your jaw will drop at the great space--dramatic and creative! We had 5 dishes, 4 of which were very well executed, including a side of baby bok choy that was the best ever: tiny, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fried rice was a disappointment: bland and mushy. Only open 3 weeks so far, but shows great promise and we will be back.

Great space, but feels a bit too much like theater. Food interesting but not great -- coffee was cold. Made reservation for 5 but seated at a big table for 6 and were told "sorry" no smaller tables. Despite lots of staff, there were long delays between courses and even getting plates and silverware AFTER entrees arrived. Server talked about a cod special that only he could offer, which was strange. I think they have some kinks to work out. Not sure I would to go back.

Very un-Boston! Felt like we had gone to Vegas for the night. A great place for celebrations and big groups. I can imagine Bachelorette parties and large birthday parties there. It was pretty loud and tough to have conversation, but it all added to the ambiance. The food was upscale chinese and was very good. The menu was a bit small and limited for dinner items, but the appetizers were fantastic!

Red Lantern is a SIGNIFICANT ADDITION to the Boston restaurant scene. The menu is amazing and the food terrific. I went with my wife on a Sunday, walking over from the Colonial theater where we saw West Side Story. It was rather empty (only open for 2+ weeks) but we were taken very good care of by a wonderful waitress. We shared the lettuce wrapped chicken, pork fried dumplings, and duck spring roll with apricot hoisin (wow), followed by beef tenderloin fried rice. The beef was unbelievably good. We'll try steaks the next time back. This restaurant seriously elevates Boston dining. Most highly recommended.

The lobster rangoon was amazing. I also enjoyed the traditional street noodles. The ambiance is great, and I do not feel that had a contrived feel to it. The mai tais were very good but a bit too sweet with oregat syrup. We had a fantastic evening.

Maybe because it is just the first weeek, maybe i've spent a lot of time in Hong Kong / Singapore at the "authentic" Red Lantern type restaurants, but was dissapointed. Service was hurried - they server seemed in an urgency to clear our food - drink were OK - not the best, and food was just 'OK'. Ambiance is great though.....

Environment and food were great. Fantastic people watching and a great scene. Fun drink menu. Service was awful. Our server couldn't have been nicer and everyone seemed to be trying hard but the level of experience was poor and management seemed to have no concept of how to organize dinner service. It was apparent that little time had been put into training or finding experienced wait staff.

There were 5 of us for dinner. Three out of the five did not like there meals. I ordered the Tik tok chicken on the recommendation of the waiter. It was cold. The waiter brought a new one which was even colder! The manager came by and asked how everything was, we told him about the food. He said he was sorry and left. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful. To bad they did not invest in the food and service.
