  • Lovely location, but ...

Beautiful setting! A great location for outdoor dining/cocktails. Food was o.k., but could have been better. Rosa Bruschetta was large serving overall, and balsamic reduction tasty. Mussell's broth was underseasoned. Roasted vegetable pizza came "topped with arugula", however this was like having a pile of undressed salad on top, and not easy to eat. A quick wilt of the greens would have integrated it into the overall dish more completely. That being said, I feel that we would go back to sample other offering from the menu to see if we just "ordered poorly".

This was our first experience with Bridges and we will be back. It was our wedding anniversary and atmosphere was perfect. It was a little louder than we like but that was no fault of yours just alot of chatty customers. Again the food and the service was great!

We greatly enjoyed our anniversary dinner last Saturday night. The service was attentive without being disruptive. I wanted to note that the noise level was higher than normal because there was a very good band playing in the bar, which added to our enjoyment of the evening.

The hostess tried to take us to a table inside, but it was immediately noticed that it was lound and echoey in the dining room. We requested to sit outside which was very nice. There were six of us and they had a wedding going on and other large groups. The service was attentive and efficient. The food could be better. It was OK, but nothing special. It is a little better than most big seafood places near Kent Island, but not fit for a foodie. Great view of the water, however they had closed off part of the outside with plastic liners and tried to sit us in there at first. It was too hot and stuffy to have dinner in there. Thank goodness we were able to be moved!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2007
    Dined on 8/22/2011
The venue is beautiful. A great upscale "on the water" spot. Especially delightful for sunset dining. Service was exceedingly slow, everything from cocktail to entre. And my wife was delivered the wrong entre. That was corrected in fairly good order. We were not there at a particularly busy time. The house was full when we arrived, but by the time we finished a drink and put our order in, the crowd was begining to thin. The server was quite apologetic but the manager didn't bother to stop by, even though the server recognized the slow service and wrong entre service. We'll likely return, but it won't be a regular for us, and we'll make sure we have plenty of time available to dine.

We debated whether to eat inside once we arrived on one of many hot July days. We drove over the bridge for the view and settled on outside which to our delight had a floor fan by our table. The jetty next door was crazy partying and we were also worried about the noise. But the restaurant acted as a great sound buffer to their band and we could enjoy the sounds of nature. The food presented with a gourmet delivery and everyone had some crab on their meal choice. I will definitely go back for there small plates selection is attractive. Moderately priced this is a great place for a special occasion or if you want to enjoy a boaters lifestyle without the boat!

The food was excellent and we loved the atmosphere. We had dinner inside with a great view and then caught the steel drum player outside. The whole night was great. Only downside was we had to ask our waitress for bread. She never brought any to the table. Also, get coasters for the drinks. The drinks sweat and we had a lot of water floating around on the table and dripping on us as we drank. There were no napkins provided at the bar with a drink either. A paper napkin should always be provided with a drink.

The location is beautiful. It is especially so when one can dine outside(however, the 90+ temperatures plus humidity made that a bit difficult). We sat at the kitchen bar which is entertaining and extremely interesting. The staff is friendly and the food impeccably prepared and plated. The entire venue really appeals to the sense of sight. It just seemed that it took forever from ordering a glass of wine to delivery. (But they were very busy.) We would definitely dine there again.

We were very disappointed in this restaurant. Dennis was our server. This is the second time in a week that we have had Dennis as our server. Both times he has mixed up the orders. Two of us had finished our meal when he came to the table to say "what is missing?" He didn't even know two of us hadn't gotten meals yet. Ten minutes later brings the meals and they are not hot. Dennis just says he is so sorry. There is not excuse for this happening twice in a week from the same server. No compensation was offered. I reported our experience to the hostess at the front desk when leaving and received the comment Dennis is usually very good. The food has been hit and miss with a lot of misses lately. You may forward this to the restaurant. Warre

Great food........great service, but oh sooooooooo noisy!!!! The restaurant wasn't nearly full, but the conversations of the patrons was deafening - - the voices must bounce off the very high (and beautiful) ceiling and come back down again and again and again. It was too hot to dine outside, but that might be a solution.........but not in the winter!

We had a wonderful time at the Bridges. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was great. The ceilings were high, all wood, therefore nothing to capture the sounds. My only concern was the indoor noise. We could barely hear each other at a table for 4. Next time if the weather is good, we will be eating outside.

We had made reservations for a family gathering of generations. When we arrived we were asked where we would like to be sitted? and then were taken to a table in the middle of all the hostess sittings and kitchen traffic. We didn't feel as if we needed to make reservations, or that we were "special guests" after our welcome. The restaurant was freezing and we had to ask if they could turn down or off the fans. One table seated next to us, of adults and children went back to their vehicles to get jackets. The food was very good, our waitress Jennifer terrific, but the atmosphere was nothing special.

He had wonderful and thorough descriptions of the meals, appetizers, even the wild cherry mojito! Knowing that we ate every last crumb on our plates, he suggested a creme brûlée for dessert with 2 spoons...what a perfect ending to a perfect evening :) We've never had a bad meal there but Dennis' service was just outstanding. Food was melt in your mouth...I had lobster ravioli (it should be one of the deadly sins), sashimi tuna that you didn't even have to chew it was so tender. Soft crabs superb!

We had a terrible experience there. I completed the reservations on OpenTable and asked for a table outside if possible, acknowledging that if there wasn't a way reserve outside we would wait for a table at the bar. We got to Bridged to check in and they went to seat us, the table was literally in the kitchen, between the open kitchen and the wait station where the waiters were gossiping and chatting about their lives/customers. I asked the hostess if there were alternate tables, she said no and put the menus down and walked away. We went back to the hostess stand to see what the wait for outside was and they said they are too busy to have a wait for outside. The Bar was not very busy and we saw 3 tables open outside. We went to Harris'.
