It was Mother's Day so I guess the noise level was perhaps louder than usual. Great place - Had visited the one in Atlanta as well. Like the one in Miami better. A bit over the top with prices but good.

Prices are high, but freshness and variety of seafood are unsurpassed. The service was good, but sitting at a booth put us in the path of all the bussed dishes coming past us. Next time, I would take a table in the center of the restaurant.

While the food and service we're decent the way the we were treated upon arrival was appalling. Having been the first time to the restaurant, we didn't know that it wouldn't be clear as to who to talk to upon arrival. The place was packed and I tried to speak with someone at the host stand but apparently you can't just speak to anyone. The head host? told me like a child to "get back in line and wait my turn!" We had reservations and when I finally explained that they lead us to our table only to find the table shoved in a drafty corner of a seperate room not even set. We had to stand there for five minutes while they set the table. There was a super loud party we were not made aware of beforehand. Not a great experience,we won't be back.

This was our second visit to Oceanaire and unfortunately, our experience on a Saturday night was much less enjoyable than a recent mid-week dinner. The noise level was extremely high, so much so that I could not hear my dining companion across the table. The server, while very courteous, wasn't as attentive as on our previous experience - we had much longer waits for our food. The food was good, but nothing special. Like most restaurants, Oceanaire is challenged to provide outstanding food and service on a weekend night when the restaurant is full. If this were my first visit, I would not return. Fortunately, I know how wonderful Oceanaire can be on quiet, mid-week night.

The variety of seafood available for the particular day was amazing. The waiter was knowledgeable and accommodating. I was dining alone and was made to feel welcome and comfortable. This is a great place for people who are serious eaters of seafood who are looking for something they don't find every day in other restaurants. I will definitely go back, and will recommend it to friends and family!

One of the best experiences I ever had in a Miami restaurant. The food was great, very fresh menu and the service was superb. The wine list was extensive and the server was very knowledgeable with them. The ambient was very nice and enjoyable, can’t wait to go back again. I definitely will recommend and you will not be disappointed.

We had another lovely dinner at Oceanaire last Thursday. It was nice to be able to bring our own bottle of a very special boutique Argentine Pinot Noir. Our usual waiter, Luis Garcia, gave us his normal superb service and the food was as delicious as always. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We went for a celebration dinner on a tuesday night. Our waitress was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and was very attentive. The fish (we had Alaskan Halibut and Swordfish) were fantastic. Extremely fresh, perfectly cooked, and huge portions. For dessert we had the banana bread pudding which is large enough for four people to share. Our only complaint was having to pay $8 to park in the garage at Mary Brickell Village. Overall, highly recommended for great seafood.

great restaurant. knowledgeable, attentive waitstaff in the dining room. only one negative. wanted to have appetizers and drinks at the raw bar (really unique...) before dinner. had to sit for a while at the raw bar before a bartender finally came over to us to take our order. not sure who was in charge of waiting on customers at the raw bar, but we did feel a little awkward sitting there for so long. plus it was pretty early and not crowded at all. only 2 people were sitting at the bar. however, when we did get our appetizers, they were great (shrimp cocktail and oysters rockefeller). service the rest of the evening was impeccable. beautiful decor. very enjoyable evening and would certainly go back if in miami again.

Fish is their specialty and rightly so - Whatever your favorite is, if they have it on the menu that day - you will love it. The waiters and waitresses are very special - they go out of their way to be sure that your dining with them will be memorable. Not only is it a great place to dine, but this is the place to take guests.

This was our second visit in three months to Oceanaire - we enjoyed our first visit so much that we made sure to come back when we came back to Miami. The fish is unbelievably fresh (I'm from Rhode Island originally and I've not had better there.) There are preparations to suit every taste bud, from plain to fancy. If there were anything at all negative, it's that the portions are so huge, you can't finish them! Don't miss the hash browns "Oceanaire" if you like things with a kick. The staff clearly has tried all of the dishes and are very helpful.
