I've eaten here twice and loved the zucchini patty dish I had (both times!), the margaritas, and both times had the same great server. Loving it so far! The "mild" guacamole was super fresh but a little bland. I'm not into spicy but my friends all felt the "hot" could have been hotter, too. First time there with a small group - and we all tried each others' dishes and I thought it was all good. I checked the box for "good for groups" meaning that our little group had a great time - but the restaurant is small so a group of 8 is probably about the max they can handle.

We had a great meal at Acitron. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable and the menu is interesting and creative. I would reccommend the jalepeno margaritas, the quesdilla's, the corn on the cob and the catch of the day. Everything we orederd was fresh and prepared perfectly. We will be back again.

Food was great. Atmosphere was great. Service was great. We would/will definitely go back. Freshly made chips and salsa... there is nothing better. Well done!

The food is amazingly good and moderately priced. Having been raised Mexican American, I bemoan that the only "Mexican" food I can get in New England are the bland tacos, tostadas, chimichangas, and enchiladas made for a purely American audience. At this place, you'll experience a larger swath of what Mexican cuisine really is like. Unfortunately I didn't see many people in the restaurant the day I was there. I hope for their sake word gets out of how good the food is. Oh and the cocktails were excellent too.

most promising and innovative 'bistro-Mexican' menu. Growing pains obvious in service and kitchen performance. Excellent guacamole appetizer brought down by lackluster commercial chips. Entrees arrived only after repeated inquiries and later-arriving parties already finishing, on a night far from busy. Beautifully plated Cocinta Pibil oversalted to the point of inedibility....innovative choices in side accompaniments very welcome. On the noisy side. Definitely a place to watch, and for the time being, to watch out for.

Overall, the place wasn't bad, just doesn't hold a candle to our favorite more upscale mexican place, Ole in Inman Square, which has much better food and drinks for about the same price.

Good food - server was good, but bus boy services were a little weak (clearing dishes and refilling water - although I think he was new). The food was good, salsa great. Sangria was excellent. Inventive Mexican cuisine, not burritos and tacos. So raise your expectations. Nice that side dishes came with the meal. We had the pork and it was very good. We would go back to try other dishes.

Food was delicious, service was excellent, we went on a Monday night, so not much was going on, but we went on a friends recommendation who mentioned that it gets crazy on weekends, so better to make a reservation. Will go back specially to try the Queso fundido appetizer, it was out of this word!

Most newly opened restaurants need 3-6 months to work out the kinks - not Acitron! They nailed everything, right down to the plating of every dish. . Only area for improvement would be to add daily/weekly specials to add greater variety and to draw regulars back.

It was Cinco de Mayo which made the noise level especially energetic. Other than that I was surprised by just how good the food was... guacamole & queso appetizers followed by the filet... outstanding! I would return and recommend to friends.

Very disappointed. They try to position themselves as upscale Mexican. But, the flavors are rather bland and not distinct. I found some of the ingredients that should have been crispy to be soggy, for example. I had high hopes, but pass on this one.

Subtle and sophisticated Mexican food with interesting and creative combinations of Mexican spices, herbs and flavorings and ingredients...not your more predictable taco and enchilada place. Quite extensive bar menu. We each had Margaritas with different ingredients and each was delicious. Very attentive and informative staff.
