Overall, we had a very good experience. However, every time the door opened, we got a cold draft, since we were seated in a booth, in the bar area. We would still recommend this restaurant to others and especially liked the idea of a free parking lot across the street and/or reasonable valet service available also.

It isn't often that one has 4 people and absolutely no complaints about the food. In fact from the 3 appetizers to the 4 entres everything was exceptional. Pork chops are thick and juicy, the lamb tender and delicious and the sole was better than anything I've had at the Oceanaire. I plan on making this place a must for family and friends.

Things started out okay and our server was there but not very attentive. Then when at the end of the meal we had to wait and wait for a check. Finally, we flagged a bus person, who got another wait staff who went and printed our check. Finally our server came over with the check when we already had it from the other. The did give us one free dessert for our birthdays.

We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary & decided to try the Downtowner Woodfire Grill. We were seated promptly (even bfore our reservation time) in a semi-private booth which was much appreciated. The food was outstanding! There were a few other patrons that were quite loud with their conversation, laughing etc. . but I don't think this place would be loud if it were not for a few people. The lighting and man playing guitar were a nice touch! We have already recommended this place to family and friends and we are sure to return in the future. Thanks for helping us celebrate our first anniversary! The only suggestion I would have would be for the waitress to speak a little louder, she often spoke too quiet & was hard to understand

We were seated promptly and the server was very pleasant. Only drawback of the evening was the temperature in the room was extremely warm, towards the end of the evening someone opened a window, wish I had noticed that those were "working" windows earlier. Overall very nice and we will return.

We really enjoyed the window seat watching all the people go by and some great cars, but the best part of all besides the excellent service was the music, it was perfectly enjoyable, great jazz, and we could still converse without shouting over the music. What a fantastic idea to have them out in the middle and the volume was perfect, loud enough to enjoy, maintaining the romance of true jazz. We will be back many times for the jazz, and we have to find out if your pizza tastes different than every one elses. John and Mary Neeser

Downtowner Woodfire grill was a nice spot for a Friday evening dinner. The generous portions of food were exellent; I really enjoyed the flavor of the Amish Chicken, and the side of that marvelous sauce was great!e Our table faced the kitchen, and for me, who has spent 30 years in the restaurat/hotel business, it was comforting. The apple-pear crisp was large enough for my companion and I to share, and a great finish to the meal. I am sure we'll be back!

we enjoyed dinner at the Grill and then went to the Wild Game. Obviously, a good location for a pre-game dinner. Parking across the street was convenient. Individual pizzas and salads fit the quality and quantity that we were after. I have eaten at the Grill previously and have enjoyed the restaurant each time that I have visited. Look forward to the next visit. Thanks for the excellent service.

I expected to be rushed on Easter Sunday morning but the service was perfect in every way. The room is pleasant with the space broken up with a massive and handsome fireplace. A live pianist played great background music at just the right volume. My husband asked for some extra spice in his bloody mary and extra crispness on his hash browns. Both requests were fulfilled cheerfully. For the ambiance, service and food, it is very reasonable. We will definitely go there again. I'd be happy to invite friends to join us there.

In the resevation I made I specifically asked for a table next to the fireplace. When I was seated, the Maitre d' did not even ask my preference even though there appeared to tables available in the area. I didn't make the reservation just to hold a random table, I made the reservation to hold a specific table in a specific area.
