This was a great food and wine experience. We loved it. The courses were a little fish heavy for my group but otherwise each course was unique and delicious.

Wow, our experience was phenomenal! We got a table in the corner which at first was a disappointment, but then turned into being the best location for watching the whole restaurant by turning our chairs. The food is unbelievably tasty, savory and delicious! You wonder how they make the dishes they do in such a small portion. Include the pairings since they blend nicely with the food selections. The vodka pairing was definitely our favorite cocktail. Too many favorites to list in the food category. The staff was extremely hospitable and engaging as they served each course. Our evening was amazing. We strongly recommend Rogue24.

We had a fabulous experience! Food was innovative and delicious. Loved the mushroom soup with cocoa, spoon bread with rabbit bacon to name a few favorites. Cocktails were out of sight. Chefs willing to talk to you about what they were doing which was fun. Sixteen courses was more than enough for me.

I enjoyed the concept very much and the kitchen staff who prepares and serves is obviously proud of their product. The food is generally good, although sometimes a bout pretentious--which is reflected a bit in some of the clientele. Wine selection, however, is poor and not geared to those who enjoy good wine.

Rogue24 is a welcome addition to the high-end retaurants committed to innovative cuisine that pushes the envelope between concept and execution. Multiple small dishes recall "Mini-bar" in concept, and the chef's approach to deconstructing and inventing dishes is superb. Wine pairings are outstanding, although 8 glasses to accompany the 24 courses makes for a heady experience. The staff is enthused, everyone enjoys what he or she is doing, and from start to finish you feel pampered, individually cared for, and the food experience is cause for celebration.

Rogue 24 was an amazing time. My husband and I went with some foodie friends and did the whole 24 course experience with the wine and spirit pairings, and none of us will ever forget that flavorful, intense adventure it was. I raved about it to anyone who would listen, and we can't wait to make a second visit.

Two prix fixe menus, one expensive, t'other even more so. Both are delicous and worth the splurge. Dishes are incredibly inventive and patrons are seated around the open kitchen so one sees everything being prepared. The wine pairing is outstanding.

"This is like heroin". "How do you know what heroin is like?" "I don't. But it is supposed to be addicting." Conversation between mother and "raised up right" foodie son over this spectacular meal. Upon entering Blagden Alley, one senses that this will be "other-worldly". the moment I crossed the threshold it was an exhale. Escape from the tumult of DC life. Every petite course was a burst of flavor. Pairings were superb with each course but next time I will simplify by ordering a couple of bottles from the lovely wine list. The only drawback was keeping track of the details of each course. Our neighbor inquired if we knew which course we were on because they had lost count; just an indication of how the 16 course meal flowed. Best in DC.

The food was delicious and the presentation was amazing. We drank really delicious cocktails. The executive chef, RJ, came over to our table several time to chat and help with drink orders. The ambiance is kind of warehouse science lab, but in a really good way. My only complaint is that our waitress wasn't very attentive. My wife opted out of the wine pairing and had a difficult time ordering drinks.

I was just not happy with my experience at Rogue 24. I am in the business and have much experience with tasting menus around the country and while I understood the concept behind the restaurant and appreciate the attempts with some of the courses presented, my entire party felt that the kitchen missed the mark. Further and perhaps the reason I'm even writing a review (which I rarely do) is that we all left hungry even though we ate everything presented to us and paid $700 for the privilege. I sense an arrogance there that if the guest does not "get it" it's on them, and we were perplexed by how small each course was. In the end we left unsatisfied in all the ways a good restaurant can make you feel.

Frequent guests at restaurants of this general type both in DC and elsewhere. We were excited about trying Rogue 24 and came away rather disappointed. Dining room was freezing and the reception area on a rainy night was a shambles. Too many courses seemed to be random assemblages of uncooked and crumbly ingredients. We waited far too long for our check.

We chose to undertake "The Journey", the 24-course tasting menu with the supplemental drink pairing. Each course was a bold leap in terms of creativity, execution, presentation and taste. I loved everything that passed across my lips. While some courses may have been bolder, more adventurous than others, there were none that could even come close to being classified as a miss. The wine selections, especially the 2007 Celler Escoda-Sanahuja Garnacha and the 2006 Speedy Creek Sangiovese, were inspired. he Holland House Cocktail made of Genever, dry vermouth, maraschino liqueur and lemon was crisp, tart, amazingly refreshing and one of the best cocktails I've had in recent memory. Service throughout our meal was on point.

It is just that good. What amazed me most was how simple everything was (or appeared to be). The flavors were so fantastic just as they were. I've never had better peaches and tomatoes in my life. Out of all those little plates only the vegetable jellies, shrimp and grits and liquid chicken failed to impress. It was just stunning and so special to have the food come straight from the chefs! RJ both worked on dishes and chatted with the crowds as well. Also impressive is the atmosphere---luxurious and yet totally lacking in pretension; we felt welcome and relaxed the whole night. Wonderful.

We have enjoyed Komi, Cityzen, and Minibar. I have to say this restaurant is very close to being on par with them. RJ Cooper was very personable and interactive. Everyone there made us feel like special guests. The food was outstanding. Next time, we probably won't do the wine pairings because it was quite a lot to drink. I definitely recommend it.

I was in love with the concept before going, but did not feel that Rogue-24 delivered on taste. There were some very inventive dishes, but overall just plain boring flavors. The 24 course tasting menu was named a Journey. I would have to agree that it was a journey -- kind of like a really, really, really, long, and boring 3-hour car ride through Wyoming.

I had high expectations for my dining experience at Rogue24, and Chef RJ Cooper and his staff met and exceeded my expectations. After finding this hidden gem down an alley in DC, we were greeted at the front door and led into the salon to enjoy a fabulous cocktail before our meal. We tried a number of their signature drinks and were happy with every choice. We were then led (promptly) to our amazing table, with a fantastic view of the pastry chef's station. Right away, our journey of 24 courses began...and from start to finish we were blown away by the creativity and amazing complexity of each course. Everyone in the restaurant was incredibly kind and helpful and the fellow diners were all having a great time. We loved the experience.

Come without expectations, and put yourself in the hands of RJ Cooper's experiments in foods. You're here for the experience, not to get stuffed to the max on one particular dish you may enjoy. Even the things you may not like the flavor of, will still blow your mind. Ask lots of questions to Chef Cooper or his sous chefs that serve you, and you will be left with a thought and taste provoking experience you will remember for a long time. Be mindful of watching all of the chefs hard at work in the kitchen, and the precision it takes to craft the 24 dish experience for each table. Dining at Rogue 24 is like going to a Broadway play, only instead of being moved by words, you're moved by tastes and smells.
