We tried Del Frisco's on the recommendation of a friend. I am so glad that we did! We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and were promptly seated at our outdoor table, as requested. Our server went above and beyond to provide a superior experience and the sommelier provided a wonderful selection within our requested price range. We both had the filet - mine with a garlic, blue cheese sauce. It didn't require the sauce as the steak was delicious on its own, but it was very good! My boyfriend and I agree, the customer service was was excellent, setting was beautiful and both the food and wine were delicious. We will definitely go back for a special occasion!

Ceasar Salad was over dressed and dressing not great to start with. Shrimp cocktail presentation was very unappealing (it came with shrimp completely covered with a big ladle of cocjtail sauce),but it did taste good. Everyone's steak was great !! Sides were O.K. Dessert was Cheesecake for the table and was uneatable (it tasted like plain cold cream chesse)

You are definitely paying for the view at this restaurant! While the restaurant is beautiful with an excellent view of the Boston harbor, the extremely loud Motown soundtrack made us feel like we were at Johnny Rockets instead of a fine dining steak house, which made for a very non-relaxing dinner. The food was only fair overall and the steaks were coated in a very spicy rub. The menu does not explain (nor did our waiter)that all steaks are cooked that way and you have to ask for the steak "plain" otherwise. Who would think that you'd have to ask for a plain steak vs. asking for peppercorn or other preparation...which is usually how a steak house prepares its steaks. Overall, we were very disappointed especially since the prices are so high.

I've been three times since they have opened and my last visit was disappointing because of the service. While the waiter was prompt to inquire if we wouldlike bottle of tapped, we waited close to 10 minutes to order cocktails (would have been five if we accepted drinks accidently delivered to us), another 20 minutes to order dinner, then another five to order a bottle of wine because the waiter left without asking if we wanted wine. Four shared appz, but only one came out; the other three came about 8 minutes later. On drinks/main course, the waiter neglected special requests. All of this was on a Wednesday night no less. 2-3 visits have been great, but for the price I expect 100% quality everytime.

My son's steak was all fat and veins. I did not like that the plates are smothered in butter and so hot that you could burn yourself. The waitress had no knowledge of the menu and made poor suggestions. The bill was $600.00 (5 people) and waitress never bothered to ask if we enjoyed our meal. Overall disappointed and will not go back. Abe and Louis much better!

A great meal and wonderful evening. The ambiance and setting are as good as it gets. There is not a better steak that I've had in the country then Del Frisco's regardeless of location and the Boston restaunt is no exception. The service lacked a littel focus at times and little things like bringing more bread, filling wine glasses and refilling water was not prompt or had to be requested. These were minor annoyances in an overall great evening.

We were a group of eight, celebrating college graduation. It was a very festive, happening atmosphere with an almost frenetic amount of movement surrounding us. Service was very slow, we were there for almost four hours, with long waits for drinks and courses. Despite the showy choreographed presentation, there was an amazing amount of confusion in getting the correct plates in front of the correct diners. Too many mistakes and missed orders to say great service. but the steak was some of the best we've had, and we've hit pretty much all of the steak houses. Sides were good, wedge salad was one of the better ones we've had. Too much salt for my taste but my saltaholics loved it. Wine selection and wine steward/sommelier outstanding.

Having heard lots about the Delfrisco's in NY from a family member I was looking forward to going to Delfrisco's in Boston. I was not the least bit disappointed. Everything we ordered was amazing. Appetizers of crab cakes, shrimp and lobster were outstanding. Two in our party had bone in filets and two had 8oz filets. One person had to send their entree back as it was more rare than the ordered medium requested. Sides of king crab gnocchi, sauteed mushrooms and lobster mac and cheese were amazing. Dessert was a slice of birthday cake for person in our party celebrating 60th birthday. Service was a little slow in terms of how quickly the courses moved along but the wait/service staff was incredibly attentive

DF's is a great place for a corporate dinner. The place has great views and an energetic feel, but you can still carry on conversations. Service was only OK. Our waiter pushed too hard on the appetizers and came across as very nervous and new. The food was great, too, but at a price - everything is quite expensive. I would recommend this for a corporate dinner or rare occassion, but it's not somewhere to go regularly...unless you're prepared to pay for it.

We were promptly seated and met by an energetic server. I have been to most of the steak houses in Boston and would rate this at the low end. Although the view is the best in town the food is not.The thing I found most problematic about the restaurant was the staff. At one point a hostess walking by hit my elbow as I was lifting a glass to drink. Somehow I made the save and not a drop was spilled. The Hostess did not acknowledge the incident, another employee did. When between courses the table is attacked by 4 to five busboys. As knives and dishes wizzed within inches of my wifes face I had to ask them to calm down. The dining room is very noisy. Not a good place to have conversations while dining. Expense account and tourist dining.

However, despite the crowd, our service was still excellent.Food delivery and drink refills were prompt, and the whole staff courteous. The waitstaff worked really well as a team throughout - taking our orders, serving, clearing between courses. The food was delicious and the side portions are large and great for sharing. Great ambiance and location. Need to work on some kinks. took 40 minutes for the staff to offer us a beverage after sitting down and overall poor below average service. The staff was very apologetic for the too-rare steaks. Once cooked properly, the steaks were quite good. The prices were quite high but in line with Capitol Grille and Abe and Louis. All things considered, I'd prefer Capitol Grille in Newton.

In ranking the premier steak houses in Boston, I would put Del Frisco's in the middle of the pack in terms of food, a good distance behind Mooo and Capital Grill. We got the calamary to start and it was too sweet and on par with what you could expect at a middle-tier Asian restaurant (not recommended). I had the Ribeye which was just ok. The meat was tender but it was oddly not very flavorful. My girlfriend had the filet which was very tender and decently flavored but not the best she's had by any means. Del Frisco's excels at service and the vibe is very cool, but ultimately you go to steakhouses for the steak and in that category they're good but not anything special.

We were celebrating birthdays with multiple generations attending. All loved the scene. The food and service were great. The environment is lively, fun and definitely a hot spot. My one big complaint is the NOISE. Even the servers acknowledged it was hard to hear, especially for the grandfather at the table! Then they turned the music on and it was near impossible to have a conversation. This was my only complaint and when I asked them to turn the music down, it was a no go! Turn down the volume and it would have been a perfect evening.

I love the restaurants service, especially with the multiple food runners (lined up) bringing out each person's dish instead of boosting all the dishes on a large round tray. It gives you that feeling of old school dining. Not everyone may like that, but I liked to feel taken care for the price I paid. All the tables face the window for you to admire the waterfront view. All the employees were nice. I'm definitely going back.
