    OpenTable Diner Since 2010

A friend and I were attending a concert at the Warner Theatre. We had dinner reservations for 5:30, plenty of time for the 8:00 concert. When we arrived the restaurant was quite empty and we enjoyed our appetizers and main courses with the help of a very professional and pleasant waitress. However, as time went on and more people arrived, it was a little difficult to get our desserts and then to complete payment of the check, etc. The food was delicious and the service excellent. However, the somewhat chaotic atmosphere when the restaurant was almost filled lessened our appreciation of our dining experience. We would definitely return to the restaurant again since its proximity to the Warner Theatre is terrific and we were from out of town.

Great food, reasonably priced...everything was wonderful as that goes but the waitress was what I would say the worst I have ever had. Never checked on us,never was around, chatty with another table with whom she said had plans with seeing for a new York trip and hugged goodbye, very unprofessional. Never even did anything about carrying my "root beer float over and spilling and sloshing it all over her hands the floor and the table. When it came time to pay so we could make our show on time we waited a good 10 minutes for her to show up to ask her for the bill. Id really love to dine again but with service like that Im not so sure...maybe food to go is best

The service was very good. We all had specialty burgers that were cooked the way we liked them. The shrimp coctail appetizer was fresh and tastety. We also tried the brie & fruit plate which was fresh as well. The only thing we would of liked was if the melon was sliced into pieces vs being served as slice. Overall we liked the Red Velvet Cupcakes & Flourless Chocolate Cake the best!!

Food was quite good--better than expected. Baked brie and fruit plate was tasty and beautifully presented. We had burgers and fries--among the best in the area. Service was also excellent, especially for a restaurant that was busy and just recently opened.

  • More like Cheese Nightmare!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2013
    Dined on 2/25/2011
My partner had the cheese dream, and it was more of a nightmare. The bread was burned, and the cheese wasn't melted. You can't explain that! We ordered two sandwiches, and then watched people who got there after us get food, and in one case dessert before our food was out! Completely unacceptable. Fries with out meal weren't even seasoned with anything. Unless you're coming here for pub type appetizer food and a beer, skip over the meals. Good atmosphere, giant beer selection, but would not come here for food again.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

We went to Backstage after seeing Bill Cosby at the Warner Theater. Some of the party had been there before, and had truly enjoyed it. So we were looking forward to visiting the restaurant again. And as expected, the food did not disappoint. Their salads are wonderful, and when paired with a small plate make for a tasty and right size dinner. And the beer list is incredible! Our usually picky kids were able to find plenty to eat without having to resort to the kids menu. The only downside to the night was that Backstage has not yet figured out the timing for staffing when there is an event at the Warner. When Bill Cosby let out, they were hit with a lot of patrons at once, which put quite a crimp in the service.

This was our second time at the restaurant. The food was very good, however, the orginal wings were very spicy. I would suggest a milder one for those of us who enjoys wings with just a little kick to them. Also, I lived in Maryland and with the atmosphere in this restaurant I beleive a monthly or weekly special of crab legs and a draft beer would go over great!!
