I just love the melting pot for it's intimate tables in the Lover's Lane section. It's not just about the romantic part though, if you are like us, we just don't want to be interupted/distracted while we talk. I also do not want any kids around. It's fun, and I love it there. My husband hates it because he doesn't like to cook his own food when he goes out. He feels like it is to much work. Whatever, I love it! It is a unique experience, food is just fair, and it is pricey, but it is fun and different. I would suggest going to this restaurant after a movie and just doing the chocolate fondue or maybe just the cheese and chocolate fondues, and skip the "meal" part.

I can't speak highly enough. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and we found a quiet, romantic spot for a special evening. As fondue newbies, we found our server to be incredibly helpful, and the menu was easily modified to our tastes and my wife's dietary restrictions. They did EVERYTHING imaginable to make the expreience PERFECT for my bride and I. We will be returning.

It is pricey, but worth it. It was a wonderful spot for lingering over dinner with friends, while we caught up on each other's lives. The waitress was very attentive and accommodating. The food was great, with plenty of choices. This would be a romantic place for a date or special anniversary. We especially appreciated being able to make a reservation, since most restaurants won't do that anymore. At the Arlington location, allow yourself extra time for parking on Friday and Saturday evenings, because the Highlands is very busy and you may have to walk about a block for parking (park on the other side of Ethan Allen where there are plenty of places).

Went there for the first time in arlington texas and loved it..The martini's was to die for and I liked that u could give it your own personal touch as far as cooking ur meal. Loved it. Only one problem, our waitress came out thinking her manager had giving us our goodies but that didn't happen. She felt so bad that we didn't get it she kept offering us free cheesecake..She was sweet..but all in all I would definitely recommend this place and come back.

The Melting Pot is my wife and I's most favorite upscale restaurant. Whether you are looking for a romantic place to celebrate an anniversary, enjoy relaxing evening with coworkers, or share a fun time with the family, this is the place for you. Typically each time we visit the food is delicious, atmosphere is fun and relaxing, and the service is superior. The restaurant offers a four course meal with lost of choices and cooking styles. The french quarter entree is my favorite, with the Coq au vin cooking style. There cheddar cheese fondue is also fantastic and the milk chocolate fondue is the best, but the Marshmallow Smores is a fun choice. Overall this is a great place to spend an evening with your lover, a coworker, or as a family!

The Melting Pot in Arlington is a wonderful place for a romantic dinner. Low lighting and secluded booths make it the perferct place to take your significant other. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. he expalined everything about each entree before we ordered so we could make the best descision. I was a little surprised when i learned we had to cook our main entree at the table, but once it arrived all my doubts dissapeared. It took no time at all to cook the food. And it didn't look like much food on the plate, but me and my girlfriend were stuffed but the end of it. We can't wait to go back...

The environment there was peaceful and quiet. I had requested special attention that day when I made the reservation and the staff made it possible. We were never forgotten like some places we have went to and our waiter was amazing. He knew exactly when to come to our table and we never had to go look for him. He was very helpful in explaining how the menu worked and how it exactly would taste like. I would definitely come back here again, maybe this time with friends.

This could be a fun way to spend an evening with people you know and enjoy. Our experience was quite dampered by our waiter. We were a quiet, easy-going group of eight w/ two teens, an 8 and 5 year old ( who were quiet and fascinated by the entire experience ). Our waiter (Landon) seemed become quite aggravated at us throughout the evening. " Punishing" us by long waits for drinks and a very long wait between the meat & chocolate courses. He seemed to have no tact or sensitivity to the feelings of our party members. Ex: After placing all the cheese pans on the tables, a teen dipped a chip in the queso, he quipped, " Were you raised in a barn?" We were taken aback, but carried on. Restaurant-lovely. Hostess- perfect. Waiter-NOT this

We started out with one waiter and got another one half way between and the second did not seem to be up to date on our order. We order 2 couples and one single (my 85 year old mother was in town from MN) When it came time for the dessert entre they just brought the couples. It was alittle embarrassing to ask where my mother's wasn't and if I would not have, we would not have received it. --Oh ya, then we got the original waiter back when it came time to pay the bill?? - - thought it was kinda strange
