We enjoyed our evening very much. If not for the wedding party on the main floor, it would have been a perfect evening for outside dining. The chef is very creative. The descriptions of the choices on the menu were enticing. We are looking forward to returning to the Greenbriar Inn. Thank you.

We appreciate and enjoy the quality and atmosphere of the Greenbriar Inn. It's one of our favorites for special occasions. The entrees for the brunch were very tasty, and the desserts "take the cake!" The owner is also a man of integrity concerning his customers' satisfaction.

We went for a Sunday brunch. All was excellent, the food, the service, and the ambiance. Our waitress always had a smile, in fact all of the wait staff was wonderful. We asked our waitress and then another of the staff a little later to take our picture (it was our 35th wedding anniversary) and they were very accomodating. It was a very special time!

I had a wonderful experience at The Greenbriar Inn. I went there for my birthday and a table was set by the windows for us, all of the staff wished me a happy day, and I was given a rose along with my dessert. The wine I had was excellent and the food was unique. We went on a weekday so there were not many people there, making it very quite. I think that if you are looking for a new place to try dinning and want to enjoy a special occasion then you should try it. Just mention what you are celebrating when making your reservation and the staff will be certain to make your experience the best that it can be.

I was a little worried visiting the first time as it was a little out of the way, but the food was great and the staff was very attentive. I ordered the lobster bisque and didnt care for it and they removed it from my bill even though it was prepared correctly they didn't want me to pay for something i didnt like which really stood out to me. I don't live in Boulder but visit from time to time and will definately stop by to try another selection from thier large menu!

We went for Fathers Day brunch. After being seated, a waiter never came to our table. After more than 10 minutes, I flagged down a passing waiter to see if we should just go up to the buffet. She did apologize for our waiter not having come yet, and she proceeded to wait on us. The food was good, but there wasn't much variety for the price we paid. The buffet table was constantly out of something. At one point, there were no plates.

    Dined on 5/25/2008
The brunch at the Greenbriar is always a treat. There is a wide variety of excellent food. We have been going for years and so remember when champagne was included. Now it is extra. We were surprised to find that orange juice is now extra too. It would probably make more sense to up the price a bit for the orange juice. Charging extra for champagne make sense as not everyone drinks it but one would expect oj to be included. We will go again though as it is a lovely spot especially in nice weather. Service this time was a tad inattentive, this is not usually the case.

The appetizers and the wine was really good but our entrees were terrible. I was really surprised about the food because I have been here for the Sunday brunches and the food is wonderful then. I had the gorgonzola filet and it was dry. The spinach that came with it was so salty, but the truffled potatoes were delicious. I wasn't crazy about the morels since they were still a little dry. My dining partner had the lamb chops and it was too rare (ordered med rare), the baby vegetables were so salty. the passionfruit creme brulee was good but the sugar casing was too thick and hard. I would come here for brunch but dinner hasn't impressed me at all. The manager was great though, very talkative and personable. Our waitress was great too

As far as the restaurant goes, the food was wonderful! Everyone in our party raved about how beautiful everything looked and how delicious the food was. All in all, it was a very successful event for our firm. Emily was a very pleasant and attentive waitress. As the hostess, I was disappointed that the management didn't seem to be concerned that I had a group of 22 people there. No big deal in their book, I guess, but it was a big deal for us. It would have been nice if a manager or supervisor made an effort to warmly welcome us, inquire if we needed anything special, and thank us for choosing The Greenbriar. Simple courtesy goes a long way.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 5/18/2008
I found that the restaurant itself was extremely crowded, and the buffet line was located in the middle of the main room. This presented a constant line and steady stream of traffic around our table. In retrospect, I would have much preferred sitting outside, but then I would have to dread walking all the way to the long line to the buffet which was located in the middle of the restaurant. Wouldn't it be possible to offer two buffet tables and divert the traffic problem? Our seating arrangement and enjoyment of the meal was affected by this issue.

We arrived for our 1:45 brunch reservation.(party of 5) We were seated promptly, but the place was overcrowded. It was clear that extra tables had been set up for mother's day. The waiter was slow to serve us and we had to "chase him down" to ask for coffee. Then he only served the person who asked for coffee, not the whole table. The buffet food was not up to temperature. They had run out of selections. I was looking forward to prime rib. I like it medium/well. I asked for medium well, and the person at the carving station gave me the slice that was most well done. However, the most well done piece was bright red. I tried a bite, and it was nearly raw and cold. I had to settle for cold eggs. Happy mother's day...NOT!

I don't know what you mean by a "foodie". This is a classy restaurant with delicious food, prepared elegantly. I was last there in the 70's, and I'm glad it's still there. It's a wonderful restaurant. The service was good, but the waiter and waitress were not as knowledgeable as I would have liked regarding the wine, especially considering the size and breadth of their highly regarded wine list. For one thing, when asked if I wanted a cocktail, I said we were going to have a bottle of wine, upon which the waiter simply left. I was ready to order, but wanted a recommendation between two Pinot Noirs, but neither the waiter nor the waitress who actually delivered it knew much about either one.
