As always any visit to the Farm is, to put it mildly, a joy. Armando is a truly generous server and Patricia is always a pleasure to see and visit with. We love this place. Paul Doremus

Good and reliable for what it does. Very crowded lunchtime and on weekends. Quieter during the week for breakfast.

  • While food choice/preparation
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

While food choice/preparation wasn't particularly original, the food tasted fresh and well prepared. The service was good, but I was dissapointed they didn't have a popular "artificial sweetner" choice when requested.

  • Lunch Overpriced "trendy"
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Lunch Overpriced "trendy" loud Beverly Hills casual restaurant. An $8.00 dollar sandwich is $16.00. Brisket Sandwich was more like a Sloppy Joe's (very ordinary presentation with plain greens) . Service is good. Wait staff are positive and pleasant. Reservations honored on time. Two hour parking across the street. Probably wouldn't go out my way to eat there again.

  • Waiter got my order wrong

Waiter got my order wrong and briefly refuted my correction. He also had to return to the table twice to clarify the orders of other people at my table. This experience was a definite exception to all of my previous dining experiences at The Farm where services is normally excellent.

Not sure how loud it gets when it's full. When we went, there were very few people. Was pleasantly surprised to find out that this restaurant is more of a casual one than a fine dining one. The prices are very reasonable. I'm going back.

We booked a private dining room for a small group celebration dinner. Service was TERRIBLE, food mediocre and management overwhelmed. No efforts were made to compensate us for the experience. it is a beautiful building with great potential but definitely a weak link in an otherwis reliable chain.

  • "The Farm" can be described
    nginla
    Dined on 5/14/2008
"The Farm" can be described as one step up from "Le Pain Quotidien" - both chain restaurants, both similar concepts of serving fresh simple fare in a setting reminiscent of a farm house... although "The Farm" feels a tiny bit more posh than LPQ (which has more of a "communal" coffee shop vibe going on). Decent food, both are a bit overpriced for what they are but quaint, cute and easy. A good place to bring your mom to brunch.

Glad they accomodate dogs on the front porch; that was a treat! We'll be back, I'll try something different on the menu. The artichoke salad was just OK. The artichokes were good but the salad itself was very plain.

Bistro-like atmosphere, with a nicely appointed dinning room, pleasant and attentive staff, and very good food. A restaurant that has a neighborhood feel to it (a very nice neighborhood) and one you will always go back to. With a varied menu, it will be good for families - young children and teenagers alike - but it has sophisticated dishes for the adults (and adults will enjoy going there by themselves).

The service was excellent even tho we were there on a very busy Saturday morning for brunch. I had made a reservation and they actually saved our table with a "reserved" sign. Food was great. They were busy but attentive and they never made us feel rushed. It was all perfect.
