While we have eaten at Sapporo numerous times, this experience was a bit disappointing. The menu as well as the waitstaff have changed (most likely due to the remodeling) and we found it not as great as it use to be.

Overall a very good experience. Immediate seating with the open table reservation. Drink order was very slow, server seemed to be a bit 'frazzled'- with maybe too many parties to serve? When asked the second time about my not yet delivered cocktail, he returned with an apology that someone else had taken it. This was the only down side to my first experience there. My daughter had been there before and had a wonderful experience, so I am hoping the drink part was just a fluke. We will go back. We enjoyed the sushi, and I was very impressed with the variety available.

Sapporo always has very good Korean food -- the dolsot bibimbap and bulgogi in particular are very tasty. I've been to the restaurant several times now, and have had no complaints. The service is always good, and the atmosphere relaxing. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some traditional Korean food.

Great warm atmosphere - everything is new, modern decor, super clean, with friendly and prompt service. We love the unique and outrageously flavorful food at Sapporo and have been there more than 25 times. Now we bring friends, family, and business associates whenever we can. Their substantial menu is includes Korean apps, entrees and table cooked BBQ options; many sushi and shashimi options. I was previously hesitant to bring certain unadventurous friends (or parents) because the menu options are unique, names are unfamiliar, and some of the side dishes look intimidating, etc. So far, everyone has found something to rave about. Favorites: Gyoza appetizer, Chirashi (sushi menu) and Kalbi (Short rib BBQ). Go try Sapporo!

My wife travels quite a bit, loves sushi, has had it all over the world, and finds Sapporo's to be amongst the best she's ever had. The Korean barbeque including the Kobe beef is wonderful too. New bar adds a very nice vibrancy to the place, and is known for its Mai Tai's. Sapporo has become our spot for family celebrations/special treats, and the occasional Friday night for a snack and a couple of drinks at the bar.

  • I've been to this restaurant

I've been to this restaurant a few times before the renovation and the food is ok. This is the second time I've been back after their renovation. The restaurant has a new look but the food is still just ok, a bit bland. The service here is horrible. I don't know about anyone else but service a big part of your experience when dining out. When you have horrible service from the staff and the owners condone that behavior it just turns me off the restaurant. There's a smaller Korean restaurant down the street from this place where the food is much more flavorfull and the waitress at least smiles at you. As a plus, they do have a lunch buffet and a lunch menu. So those new to Korean food can get their feet wet.

We went to Sapporo for lunch because I had a craving for Korean food. The bibimbap was just okay. They serve it with Sriracha instead of kochujang -- not very authentic. The stone pot was great but the bibimbap itself was not very flavorful. My husband enjoyed the sushi. It was very fresh and they made a lot of interesting and creative rolls. The restaurant is too dark and service was just okay. I wouldn't tell someone not to come here but I wouldn't recommend it either.

FOODIE DELIGHT! If you are interested in a playful, delicious twist on sushi and korean cuisine, this is the place. The menu is innovative (i.e. the "avocado ball" - an avocado stuffed with crunchy tuna, and drizzled with sweet soy and other sauces and tempura!). They also have the basics (goyza, crab rangoons), but I'd recommend trying something different - you will be happily surprised! I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. Note - nicely decorated inside, despite the location in a stip mall.

Excellence of taste infusion; food selection fabulous and perfectly prepared and served;fun and you could actually carry on a conversation and not yell, despite the fullness of the restaurant!! All the servers assist one another; by doing so, no one is neglected and all patrons are served promptly. Relaxed atmosphere; fabulous shushi bar; and overall ambiance topped off the night!Definitely a keeper!

Open table app for iphone is fantastic. I made my reservation using it at 5 pm and choose a 7:15 time and the restaurant had our table ready on time and we were seated immediately over walk-ins who were waiting. That was impressive. Hostess was very welcoming. The restaurant in general was clean. At 7:15 the place was very active. Service was slow - very slow. Took about 8 minutes for 2 glasses of wine to arrive. Waitress seemed new so one can forgive this. Appetizer was tasty although scallion pancake while good was rather oily and not a crepe as anticipated so dieters beware. Sushi order was placed for one entree and the waitress said it would take 40 minutes. It took only 10. Wife's entree was delivered before my appetizer. Will go bac
