  • Lombard's is a great bet
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

Amusement park food tends to be hit or miss. Often, establishments are overrun with guests and design their menu to deliver on quantity with quality being anywhere from a close to a distant second place. On our visit to Lombard's, my wife and I had lunch at 11:30 when they opened. It was a particularly quiet week for the parks, as school was just starting for the year in the U.S. We enjoyed our meals with maybe 4 other tabled guests. They spaced us out nicely throughout the restaurant so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. The ambiance is very nice with water views. Our server was attentive and conversational. We received "to go" cups of soda which was a nice touch considering they run you $2.50 at a concession stand in the park.

This side of the park seems quiet and a gateway to the MIB side of the park. We picked Lombards as one of our dinner stops while at Universal. We booked through Open Table and actually arrived early and were promptly seated. The staff was friendly and our waiter was nice, food was excellent. Check seemed to take a bit to get though. Overall a good experience, We didn't stay for the light and fireworks show because we didn't want to hang around two more hours. Next time!

This restaurant was one of the best food place"s to eat in Universal parks. The service needs some work. The waiter Never came around and offered us more drinks. My dinner was missing roasted poatoes and never offered a Replacement. When I ask I was told that I received extra vegetables . Not the case . Very small portions of veg . The Restaurant was not busy at all mabye 8 table full. In all the food was very good.

We were promptly greeted by the cheerful trio of Angie, Cole & Christina. Cole immediatly showed us to our table. The dinning area was clean & Well appointed. Our server, Lisa, was fun, efficient & friendly. She knew the specials as well as the menu. We requested that she keep our glasses full of ice tea which she did! Perhaps my expectations were too high when it comes to the food! The ceaser salad was plain & the Fisherman basket was soggy and blah! Only the OUTSTANDING service saved the meal!!!

We pre booked. When we arrived the place was not busy but they seated us in 2 step wrestle areas. When I asked for us to bd seated together it was all to much fof them to do. We ended up eating separate even though it was my wife's birthday and we going to have a family meal. Food came out and fries were cold and fish was very wet. Not good experience and staff were unhelpful

The server was terrible. We spilled a drink and he handed us napkins and proceeded to put our food on top of the mess and then left us to clean it up. We got our salads and appetizer at the same time. Our food came out shortly after and it was average at best. The menu offered a lump lobster roll and it was shredded and watery. The portions are very small. We went for dinner and got lunch portions. My kids (15 & 16) were hungry after we left. We felt like they were trying to hurry us out and there were plenty of open tables. Very unsatisfactory experience.

We had the steak with potatoes. That was wonderful. My daughter had the ravioli...can't say they give too much. The desserts were only those dessert shots. We had the one table service per day plan....waiter started off friendly, but once I showed him the dinner tickets that included the tax and gratuity he seemed in a rush to get done with us unlike the two other places at Universal which we had super friendly waitresses Mythos and Confisco.

Not good value for money, quality of food was poor, myself and my husband had crab burger, which was quite honestly awful. Kids meals were ok but not great for the price. Good service though and a nice restaurant but really wouldn't recommend. I know it's more expensive to eat in the parks which is fine with us but would expect it to be at least decent quality.

I have eaten in this restaurant several times before. Food is good, not great. The best thing about this restaurant is the view of the lagoon, which we didn't get this time because we were seated in their new upstairs dining room. The room itself was very nice and very quiet, but there was no view.

We purchased the cinematic dining plan for 4. We were seated immediately and had a nice view of the water. Our waiter Don was awesome; very attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. We received our food pretty quickly; drinks and appetizers first, followed by entrees. My daughter and I ordered the fried seafood, which was great. My son's steak was cooked correctly and the vegetables were tasty. Not "steakhouse" quality but good. My husband ordered the lobster roll; kind of small but okay taste. We returned later for the cinematic show; great seating and the dessert buffet was awesome; many items to choose from (cookies, small pastries, coffee, hot tea, bottled water). I would definitely recommend this for the show!

We enjoyed our early dinner at Lombards. We chose Lombards because it was located "in San Francisco" and that is where my wife grew up so we thought it would be fun. The food was good, the atmosphere was really nice. Great location, great view, nice fish tanks inside. For seafood lovers the choices are plentiful. My family and I dont like seafood and there were some basic choices available for us too. Salads and burgers were good. Order was taken promptly and fulfilled accurately. Our fries were cold or old or something and they had to be turned back for fresh ones. All in all I would rate the overall experience as "good".

disappointed by the food and the service. Made reservations to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. Both ordered the asian chicken with noodles which was very bland and disappointing. I was also disappointed that they didn't have more seafood options on the menu like shrimp scampi or salmon. The service was also disappointing. It took forever to get the server to come back to the table after we were finished eating so I could pay the check. I am usually understanding if the restaurant is busy but it was not that busy. Also when we walked in I stated that it was my fiancé's birthday. I thought they might come over and sing to him or give him a free dessert but they didn't say happy birthday or anything.

Made last minute reservations on Open Table mobile app. Seated right away in restaurant noon on a Saturday. Park was busy so I was a little leary restaurant was only 30% filled. Seafood was excellent (had Fisherman/s basket) huge portions, oysters were awesome. Classy looking air conditioned restaurant with beautiful view of the park. The only negatives were the service. While the wait time for the food was reasonable, the service was no where near the level I received the day before at Mythos, at Islands of Adventure. Staff were standing around most of the time in a corner in a circle, leaning against the wall, backs to the table. Our waiter gave the impression he was disinterested in his job.
