It wasn't great. The lamb shank was a bit stringy and we felt suffocated by the waiter, who practically stood at our table. Good servers know when to leave their guests alone to enjoy their meal. The experience was uncomfortable. We will not be returning.

The food and service were excellent. What detracts from this restaurant is the ambiance and noise. There is nothing particularly nice about the decor and the noise level was unacceptable. Both detract from the exceptional cuisine.

You can definitely tell that this is a neighborhood staple. Everyone seems to know everyone else. I had the duck which was amazing as was the crepe dessert. You will feel like you're in Europe on a relaxing night out. No rush...just enjoy the food.

We live in another city, but whenever we travel to Orlando or Winter Park, we make sure we have dinner or lunch at Cafe de France. From appetizers to desserts, the food is sublime and the service is always appropriately attentive. My husband and I both travel the state in our jobs and are convinced that Cafe de France is one of the best restaurants in Florida.

This is a very authentic French restaurant. You literally feel your are dining in Paris. This is the fifth time I've dined at Cafe de France and I highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience a true French cafe environment and meal. Our only problem this time was the length of time it took to actually receive our dinner - it was a full hour from the time we finished our appetizers until we were served the main course. Maybe this was a little too much like dining in Paris! The waiter and other staff were all friendly and helpful - the kitchen was just overloaded.

The food was excellent, and the service was great. I actually ate everything on my plate, and I very rarely do that.I can't comment on the ambiance and noise level as we ate outside, although it looked nice inside and seemed like it would be comfortable and quiet. The prices were reasonable, especially for Park Avenue. I would definitely recommend Cafe de France.

This was our first time dining here, we have been to all the other restaurants on Park ave and the surrounding area. Hands down this place is the best we have been too. Food was amazing as well as service, all the staff was very attentive even if they werent our server. We didnt have an entree but we did order every appetizer they had and a Caesar salad, followed by a delicious homemade tiramisu. We cant wait to go back and have a full meal!! Absolutely amazing must try place, very excited we found it!

On a recommendation from Open Table, we ventured to Café de France on a recent trip to Winter Park, Florida. Given the early summer atmosphere, we opted to sit outside for our meal. Not only were we graciously welcomed by our server and maître d', but we were also pleasantly educated to the menu selections that were available that evening. While the street ambience was less than perfect, our server and the food presentations certainly put us in a great mood. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail paid to us by our server as well as by the authenticity of the food prepared at our request. Highly recommended!

Went here based on Foodie Award review. Service was great. In a party of 6 there were 4 entrees different. Three got Salmon & one lamb and liked it. My wife got Risotto Vert and thought it was terrible. I got a Elk Strip special based on waiter rec and it was OK. So basically 50% on the food. For these prices I expected to be overwhelmed.

"Fit for Nothing" ! The owner greeted us ranting how much she hated Open Table and the people who use it. She stated that she would much prefer to hear form customers by calling and making their own reservation. The wait staff, including her spouse, were mortified. It was a birthday dinner. Our server offered a split of champange, on the house. Very nice guy. However, we will never darken the door of Cafe' de France again.

Our party of 4 dined at Cafe de France on a quiet Wednesday evening recently. It was a perfect experience from beginning to end. The place is intimate with a quietly romantic atmosphere. I don't remember our waiter's name but, he was what I'd call a warm and knowledgeable pro; very attentive, very efficient and friendly. My co-diners had salmon and (2) flounders, respectively and all were pleased with their selections. I had the Osso bucco which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it when you go there. The wine list gives a fine selection. The salads were fresh and inventive. The pate' appetizer was very tasty albeit a rather small portion. My date and I split a creme brulee' for dessert. I am out of characters. Go! Enjoy!

The food is delicious! My escargot appetizer was tender and flavorful and my guest's onion soup is the best she's ever had. I ordered chicken (something I almost never do) and was pleased that it actually tasted like... chicken! I ordered the souffle for dessert and asked the waiter if it was a traditional souffle. He said it was a souffle but I was served a lava cake. It was good but it was not what I ordered. Plus, if I wanted a lava cake I would go to K Restaurant. Overall, one of the best restaurants in Orlando, prices are fair, service is prompt but a little pretentious.

This was our first visit and we are now raving fans. My fellow diners and I went to celebrate a birthday but, please, don't think Cafe de France is just a special occasion place. The pate of the day, the chilled asparagus soup and the rack of lamb are divine. The service was just right. Attentive yet unobtrusive. Dan's recommendations were spot on. We received an E mail informing us of a special Bastille Day Dinner, Coq au Vin. Sounded good. We made reservations for 7 pm. When we arrived there we were informed that Coq au Vin was the special, after we ordered the special we were informed that they had sold out. There were about a total of 14 people there if it is the special and the restaurant is only partially full we don't understand how they could have sold out. Also the owner/manager went to every table but ours we felt slighted. The other dinners we ordered were not worth the money. We used to go there 2/3 times a year but no more. There are to many other fine restaurants in the area.

Ambience: classic and subdued with a steady stream of well-dressed regulars. Wait staff and owner very attentive but not stuffy. We felt like old friends on our first visit. Food: escargot is the best in town, and ive eaten it in several Parisian bistros and this was better. Wonderful creaminess to the sauce with a white wine finish. My only wish is that they were still in the shell for a more authentic presentation. However most would probably disagree with me. Did i mention they were greAt? Salad was good. Wife had the filet of beef and loved it. I had the lamb which was perfect. Looked a little dry sitting on a bed of pygmy lentils. But i was wrong. Great crust of herbs and spices with a pop of juicy lamb.

We live in Orlando and had dinner here for the first time last Saturday to celebrate our anniversary. Service was attentive yet discrete. Food was excellent. For apetizers we had Robbie salad (tomato, goat cheese and basil) accompanied with a glass of Sancerre. My wife and me both ordered filet Mignon for the main course. It was delicious and exactly as we had requested it. They have a very comprehensive wine list. A bottle of Pauillac was the perfect complement. For dessert, my wife had chocolate souffle and I had profiterolles with a glass of Sauternes. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a perfect meal and a very nice moment.
