It was wonderful. The food was just suppurb. I thought the wine list was too pricey. I think it almost all the nice restaurants I've been to they have a couple of nice bottles in the$20-$30 range. That would stop me from going casually during the week.

Food was ok. Service was excellent. Did not have single malt scotch requested ( Glen Morangie). Did not have blended scotch ordered (J&B). Pinot Grigio had to be returned and replaced. Wine list very limited and a minimal domestic list. Overall, I would not rate this a good value.

Food was good, but overpriced. $35 for steak with fries? We were ok paying it since it was a birthday celebration, but probably wouldn't again. Very limited selection of appetizers & entrees. Wine list was also very expensive. Limoncello was not very enjoyable - extremely harsh and not pleasant. Loved the "happy birthday" in cocoa powder on the dessert plate. Nice atmosphere. Free coat check was a nice touch.

Chiara was wonderful. We loved the lounge area with fireplace and the bar was comfortable and attentive. Our waiter was fantastic. He was attentive and social without being intrusive. All of the wine pairings our waiter selected were fantastic. Chiara is a special treat and should be enjoyed by everyone!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 3/20/2008
Chiara is a welcome addition to the Suburban West dining scene. Our food was well presented, the fare was diverse. The only part of the meal that fell down a bit was the dessert course. The strawberry mousse lacked freshness, the puff pastry was of a waxy and flavorless consistency; in short the desserts were merely adequate. However, the very friendly ambiance coupled with the strong appetizers and main courses make the restaurant worth a visit.

The food was average for the price, not equal to other restaurants in this cost structure. House wines by the glass were over $10 each, and they were average at best. A little disappointed and not likely to come back soon.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2006
    Dined on 3/19/2008
We were a bit disappointed with the restaurant. The decor was quite nice, but the noise level was high (no carpet or tablecloths). The food was just ok. I had scallops and the chutney was way too strong for the delicate taste of the scallops. My husband has the fish, and the orzo combo that came with it filled with olives was, again, too strong for the delicate fish. The desserts were terrible. I'm sorry that we won't be back. We were hoping for a fine dining experience. We are all foodies. This didn't impress us.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

The food was very good and the wine list was fairly broad and reasonably priced. We went on a Wednesday evening and the dining room was quite loud. There were several larger groups around us that clearly added to the backgroud noise. While the decor was very nice, I was glad our dinner was a family meal and not a special occasion or romantic evening. I would certainly give them a second chance as the food was quite good. Good for two couples that don't mind the noise.

My family's 1st time dining there. Services were very friendly and very helpful. The duck confit were very tasty, especially the crackling were very good. Salmon were cooked to perfection. The desserts were overall very good. Though the chocolate bread pudding won the appearance praises but not very tasty with a tad of the cooked/burnt chocolate taste..don't recommend the pudding. But the profiterole & the Strawberry mousse were very very pleasing! Will return to dine at Chiara again.

Not our first visit to Chiara's. For the price, the food was not up to standards. The chicken and pork were overdone and that we brought it to their attention so other patrons would not receive the same. My son exchanged his chix with my husband's which was less dry. We did like the appetizers and we tasted all three on the Boston Restaurant Week's menu and my husband's puff pastry dessert was excellent.

We LOVE the food here. The wait staff is very attentive. Excellent and varied cuisine. Great restaurant for holiday dining with the family. Seating capacity is limited and there could be more privacy between tables, but very much worth the trip. An outstanding restaurant in an area populated by franchise chains.
