It appears Buca was definitely having some issues with being a member of Open Table. We had a reservation for 2 at 6:30 & the host pretty much told us Open Table reservations were for larger parties & to wait. We saw the same thing happen to other 2 party Open Table customers, who did not put up with it & left. We did get a table within 15 min but there were 3 open tables by us the entire time that never had people at them & were not set up for large groups (they made it sound like all tables were being saved for larger groups) - If Buca does not want to take reservations for smaller parties that needs to be eliminated from the Open Table options. Not a very good 1st experience.

Would have been a great experience had they given us a booth, like we asked for when making the reservations.

Great Italian Food! Checking out the decor will keep you busy while you're dining. Dining with a large group is as easy as dining with a coule of people. The food was amazing and the Sangria is wonderful!

While we had good food and love sitting there chatting, I had thought the service would be better. Granted, it was Christmas, but don't be open or take reservations if you can't staff it well. We loved the food and the manager did step in later to help us get our order finished up, but lord everything else took forever and they really need to have that waitress get some extra help on busy days.

  • One of the main disappointments
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010
    Dined on 11/25/2010
One of the main disappointments was the Buca Caesar Salad, it use to have a real anchovy taste, we loved it, but now it just tastes like a boring salad that is not worth going for. My kids loved having the anchovies on the side, and our server said they were not available. All day the boys asked, can we have anchovies? We did not get them. Also the food is getting more and more bland. I was a trainer for Olive Garden, for the both the servers and Bartenders, and Buca is trending toward O.G. levels. You have a great concept, do not go for the lowest common denominator. We have taken many friends and family members to the restaurant from 2005 to 2007 and they have loved it, but the last couple of years the food has suffered.
