A word from Beckett's Table
Chef Justin Beckett brings together what matters to him most: family, friends and honest, incredible food. With considerable help from his partners and longtime friends Scott and Katie Stephens and his wife Michelle, Beckett has created an irresistible hangout for his discerning Arcadia/Biltmore neighbors, people who expect comfort and sophistication in equal measure and get it here.

The same grounded approach is evident on the menu, which emphasizes Seasonal American Cooking in dishes such as Creamy Grits and Spicy Andouille Sausage with mustard jus, Pork Osso Buco Confit with spinach pancetta spaetzle , or Fork Tender Short Ribs with creamy mashed potatoes, sautéed veggies, red wine reduction.

Factor in the inviting bar, roomy patio and community table, and it gets even easier to follow the Beckett's Table mandate: Come Together.

The food was fantastic. We weren't overwhelmed with our dessert choice, however. It was good but not great. The owner noticed we weren't loving it and gave us a card valid for a free dessert, next time. NOT NECESSARY, but very welcome. We loved everything else we tried; very fresh, innovative and delicious.

It was a dark and stormy night. The green chili stew and the shepherd's pie really hit the spot. At $14 and $16, respectively, the small portions hit the wallet even more. And really, how can you run out of biscuits?

    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

It is not very vegetarian friendly. It only has one main course that is vegetarian and it lacks on many levels. I was disappointed because it was so bland and boring. There are so many creative things a chef can do then just offering grilled vegetables. The other three at the table had meat dishes and they said it was great so I gave my rating as "good" taking their comments into consideration.

The food was outstanding, everyone in our party of 7 enjoyed the entrees and the desserts were also great with the fig and pecan pie and chocolate covered bacon s'mores being the highlights. The wait staff was attentive, however, the server forgot to bring my husband his glass of wine, therefore the "very good" for our overall review. We recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a lovely meal that is reasonably priced and in a friendly and courteous environment.

Vegetarian friend LOVED the Roasted Vegetable Tower. Rock Shrimp Enchilada appetizer was very tasty, but, the chili powder was a bit over-whelming, almost bitter. Short Rib was fantastic, more like a slow cooked pot roast chunk of beef, but great. Had 2 of the Arizona Cowhand Cocktails, was ok, had the 2nd one hoping it would be somewhat stronger with the alcohol... come on guys, pony up a bigger shot. All in all, a great meal and we will be back soon.

We had a 9PM reservation last Saturday and had an excellent experience. Our waiter was very friendly and engaging. In exchange we got a complimentary dessert as a very nice touch!

My friends and I loved the restaurant! The servers were very attentive. The chicken and dumplings were soo good. My friend ordered the special, rib eye steak which she shared with us. Absolutely delicious. We tried three different desserts, blueberry, apple cobbler; death by chocolate and the pecan fig pie. All three were delicious but the pecan fig pie was our favorite. We will definitely be back for more.

I think after reading so many positive reviews, I found myself wanting to like my dining experience at Beckett's Table more than I actually did. The food was...somewhat mediocre. Service was great with a waitperson who was attentive but not intrusive. Just not that impressed with the food. Mainly, it were the sides that got the thumbs down...They appeared and tasted "mass made"...rather dry and lukewarm.

I ordered the fish which was the only option for a pescatarian like me. The fish was smelly salmon when it arrived, the sauce did not add to the dish. I would recommend putting additional vegetarian items on the menu and another fish dish. My dining companions loved their dishes (short braised rib and mussels) so it seems to be a problem with the fish. I would not go back until this is resolved unless it was just for drinks.

Truth be told we were expecting a lot more with all the BUZZ. The waitress was a bit 'affected' although attentive. We had two salads - chopped and butter lettuce - both were nice but it's just salad - we had the sausage appetizer over the grits - it was okay. Husband had chicken and dumplings which was nothing remarkable and I had the Short ribs which came with green beans and mashed potatoes.- I changed the mashed potatoes to spaetzle - that was the best part of my meal -the short rib was dry and not very flavorful. Desert was Death by Chocolate - which was three small squares of dark chocolate layered with a white chocolate served frozen cold. It was a mini chocolate bar that should not be called Death by Chocolate

The service was attentive and aimed to please. The ambiance was comfortable yet energetic. A couple of the standout dishes at our table were the salmon with shaved veggies and the blackened catfish special. The mussels were a miss,(didn't expect the veggies!), but the homeade rolls were wonderful. And the fig-pecan tart with lemon zest ice cream was the highlight of the meal. Delicious! The kids menu is sure to please, although my kids thought the grilled cheese was too fancy for their taste. Everyone at the table had a great time and looks forward to returning.

This is a busy, unpretentious urban restaurant with gteat food and good service. Don't be afraid of the spicy andouille shrimp and grits, down home chicken and dumplings or the savoury spiced pork osso buco that literally falls off the bone. The wine is a little pricey and the chocolate bacon s'mores are a bit over the top but don't let that keep you from enjoying a great meal.
