Their menu is so limited that I hesitate to go back. I wasn't expecting a "dining experience." We have often gone their before the symphony. The price is right and the location perfect. The restaurant was empty, the help was bored and kept trying to remove our plates (I think just to have something to do) and the menu even more boring.

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time to try their food. Good service but food was not great. My chicken pasta was really dry and overcooked. My husband's steak was overdone. Very disappointing experience!

We arrived at happy hour so bar scene was pretty loud. We were seated as far from the noise as possible and all was good. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was superb and in ample supply. Calamari cooked to perfection. Prices were quite reasonable especially considering portion size.

Everything (food, service, ambiance) was good, but nothing extraordinary. We were the only table seated for awhile (it was early dinner on a Tuesday) and we were waited on by 3 different restaurant staff, none of whom seemed to be "our assigned server." Service wasn't bad; it was just an odd mish-mosh of different people coming by with some longer lulls. But when they did come by, they were very friendly and courteous. The food is probably overpriced for the quality; it was good, but not great. The restaurant had nice, warm lighting. An overall decent/good experience.

When it seemed like every brew pub was packed with people on one of Portland's few sunny days, I stopped into the hotel and grabbed a burger. It was cool and quiet. The burger was fine and it came in a timely manner. The waitor was good and attentative. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the restaurant. The quality of the food was very Gourmet with interesting and tasty food combinations. The staff was attentive and we were seated immediately thanks to opentable. The deserts were amazing with a full chocolate fondue fountain. Live jazz was playing in the background which added to a nice ambiance. As an added bonus for Mother's day, all moms got a rose. Very nice hotel and my wife and I hope to stay there soon.

We expected more from the Hilton for a Mothers Day buffet, it was disappointing and no better than a very average Vegas buffet. Dessert table was good, rest of the buffet was Very average and certainly nothing special to be worth the cost. Also, sad to say but Bistro 921 needs to replace or at least clean their carpet! Will not return there.

We came for Easter Brunch and it was wonderful. We have been doing a family brunch for 14 years now and try different places each year. I found this one by doing a google search. I only have 2 small complaints. One was that the shrimp were pretty small and secondly is that the Easter Bunny was a bit scary for kids. He/She was very tall and not such a friendly face.

The food was great but our server was terrible. She was very rude. We went for a valentines treat and she ruined it for us. It was $45 per person so I was expecting greatness all around. She never smiled and was rushing us the whole time. To order and to leave. While we were waiting for the check I leaned over to kiss my boyfriend and just before we reached each other the waitress actually put the check right between our faces. I was livid. After I complained to the manager he just said she was new and that was basically it. I will never go there again.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 2/14/2012
Booked this on a whim for valentines day. Nothing special for me as it was just a friend, but the menu was solid. It would have been nice to mix things up a bit, but the menu included lobster, filet, salmon, swordfish and more. We did something fun and had dessert first, which made the server giggle as she ran off, at the close of the meal she almost hit us for dessert again...if we'd not been so satisfied, we would have done it. The lobster was just a tad overcooked, and the swordfish could have been a little less prepared. although it was a massive cut of fish, having the fish shine through would have been a better preparation...the garnish (a form of salsa/mango/something?) dominated.

Overall I'd give this place an average score - they have a good feel but the delivery was not so good. Drinks took 10 min to come to table on New Year's Eve even though it was not crowded. However, the Pear martini was delicious! Stuffed Portabella was burnt which ruined the whole dish - they comp'd it but my partner left hungry. My salmon was alright - nothing special. Stick with the french onion soup, salad, and drinks here and you'll leave happy.

We were a party of 8, so naturally gratuity is part of the bill. I think because of the guaranteed tip our server paid no attention to us. Water glasses were left empty, never once offered a refill, we were basically ignored. The Reuben tasted like a very greasy pastrami on rye, drenched in oil - not a Reuben.

We usually love dining at Bistro 921. But this time it was Portland Marathon weekend as well as Occupy Portland was in town so it was extremely crowded. Even though we had reservations and most of the people at the restaurant did not, we were seated at a table in the direct walkway with a tablecloth that was much too big for the table so that we stepped on it as we sat and had rickety chairs that it seemed they dug out of the basement. The food was only tolerable, either overcooked or undercooked. The poor server was so rushed he wasn't able to give us any attention at all. Very, very disappointed.

Bistro 921 came across as a "move them through quickly" breakfast buffet establishment and didn't live up to my expectations from their website. Although the restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, there were several groups waiting for someone to show up and seat them (someone from the kitchen ultimately seated us). The buffet was fine and my wife's omelet was delicious but it took a long time to arrive (10-15 minutes). Beyond some initial OJ and coffee from our waiter we rarely saw him until I flagged him down to check on my wife's omelet.

The restrarant has a nice seating arrangement however the kitchen is to the far right and it is somewhat noisy.
