This was our second time there and we brought another couple because the first time was nice. Well, they ruined Valentine's Day dinner for us. The service was practically non-existent, except for the gentleman who refilled our water glasses. It took over two hours to get our food, and the host made no apologies until I told him what I thought of him and the restaurant. When I asked for the casino manager, I caught him hiding around the corner pretending to get him.

While we have stayed at The Orleans several times, this was our first time dining in Canal Street. The menu was quite extensive with choices for any taste. Most of the meals are under $30. The filet was very tender and flavorful. The escargot was also very good. I was surprised at how reasonable the prices were for some of the wine. We had a very good Cabernet for only $20 ! We'll definitely eat there again.

Many visits now and still Outstanding on Service and Food. The Chef came out to wish the wife a Happy Birthday and catered her dinner to her tastes. She had the Steak Diane which was the best ever. Boursin Mashed and Grilled Asparagus. I copied her dinner and it was superb.

We chose this restaurant so we could dine in the Mirage before a show, and it seemed promising in earlier reviews. The host/hostesses were great, but one table had a lingering odor: maybe some wine or vinagrette was spilled. After we moved, we had the same waiter: unenthusiastic, not really interested in doing her job or making people happy or feeling good, kind of apathetic. (On the other hand, the busser was great: asked how we were doing, took some obvious interest in our needs.) The food came up to mediocre: Steak "Diane" had an overly-thickened sauce, not much flavor. Salmon was overcooked after we specified a medium rare finish, but the wine service was okay after they replaced the first glass that was not what we ordered.

Once again Canal St. has exceeded our expectations. This time for my Birthday. We brought friends this time. They are food snobs who say that the best restaurants are led by Celebraty Chefs. Well, they took their words back when they ate their dinner. The Steak Diane was wonderful, Bone in Rib eye was tender. the sea bass light as a feather, and the Osso Buco was right from the plains of Italy. Bravo to the Staff and management for this most memorable night out. The wines selected for us by the sommelier were excellent and priced just right. From the Hosts to the bus person this is one of Las Vegas's best.

We went on New Years Day which is not a big night for dining and the restaurant was mostly empty. The service was attentive and the prices are reasonable. The seafood tower appetizer was a big hit and included fresh clams and oysters. The portions seemed large expecially the deconstructed salad. I had steak Diane (first time) and wasn't that thrilled with it. The lamb chops were pretty good. The grilled asparagas side dish was good and quite large.

The moment we entered the restaurant was when the impression began. We were greeted like old friends and asked for a booth or table. The service and attention to detail was quick, but not pushy, and professional without being stuffy. The Amuse Bouche was delicious, a cheese covered grape surrounded in ground pistachio. We opted for the Prix-fixe entrees with two delightful wine pairngs for a modest $35.00 each. The salad was the best ever. The bread was warm and fresh. We had the Wild Caught Salmon and Prime Rib, Delicious, tender and plenty. Dessert was included and we had to take it with us to the Sinbad show. We are locals and will return with friends. Boyd Gaming has another hit with this room. Keep it up.

Traditionally our friends spend Thanksgiving with their respective families so being away from home this past Thanksgiving, we wanted to make it a special occasion. This is the reason we chose to have dinner together at the Canal Street. Our choice was an excellent one. The management and staff did not disappoint us. From the night before when I went to confirm our reservation to the completion of our wonderful dinner, I was happy that I had selected the Canal Street. Everyone in the group were satisfied with their selections and the special menu was an added bonus.

We have eaten here many times when in Las Vegas, staying at The Orleans, and recently realized they were on Opentable. We waited 10 minutes for a server to come to our table and an hour for our meal. The service was terrible. We mentioned it to the managers when leaving and they told us they did not know why the kitchen was so slow that night. They mentioned that several people had complained. If they are the managers, they should know why the kitchen was running behind. One problem with the service is that the servers bring everything out to the table on a cart and pushing that big cart is not needed to bring two salads and an entree. The steaks are delicious, service bad.

This was our second visit to Canal Street and we enjoyed the dinner. The service was very good and the food was also very good and extremely reasonable. There was a very good wine list and we asked for a quiet table and they provided that spot. The steaks were flavorful and the salads/appetizers were very good. We especially liked the sweet potatoe fries and a number of their shrimp dishes. Lastly, yummy desserts.

This is an experience in dining that was delightful to say the least. From the greeting by the hostess to the service by the waitstaff I could not have been more pleased. The restaurant is a quiet haven sealed off from the smoke and noise of the casino. The decor is, like the casino, New Orleans themed. I ordered the large prime rib and was extremely happy with my choice. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender and flavorful and the serving was HUGE! The house salad that preceded the meal was the best I have ever encountered. My wife tried one of the fixed price meals and was amazed at the quantity of food (and wine) that she got for a very reasonable price. We have eaten at many of the Vegas restaurants and this is now our first choice

From the moment we stepped through the door, the dining experience was a total treat! The staff was courteous, warm and more than willing to make sure your experience was a good one! The food was excellent and done to perfection. Prices were quite reasonable on food, but do feel the drinks were a bit on the pricey side. In all, I would recommmend this restaurant to all!

My wife and I had a great dinner with excellent service. MY wife had a special three course wine pairing prime rib dinner and I had an 18oz NY strip steak. Both meals were cooked to perfection. We shared a chocolate mousse that was outstanding. The ambiance is old Las Vegas gourmet room. The prices are very reasonable for the food quality and service. A welcome relief from the strip. You won't be disappointed. They are new to Open Table and really want to please.you the best with Open Table
