A word from Big Rock Chop House
Formerly Norman's Eton Street Station, Big Rock Chop House combines the rustic, casual feel of a mountain lodge with the high-energy of a contemporary club, an eclectic mix unlike any other Metro Detroit dining experience, The menu bursts with enormous, hand-cut, aged steaks & chops, including a 24oz Porterhouse, a 16oz Kansas City Strip Steak, a 20oz or 32oz Jumbo Bone-In Rib Eye, a 12oz Filet Mignon, Center Cut Pork Chops, double cut Lamb Chops & a 16oz Veal Porterhouse Chop. Other selections include Rocky Mountain Chicken, Canadian Whitefish & Dover Sole presented tableside. Adjoining the restaurant is a brew house, with custom, state-of-the-art equipment. Award-winning brew master Dan Rogers has created 4 signature beers to compliment the restaurant's distinctive American fare: Norm's Raggedy Ass Ale, Raymondo El Rojo, Flying Buffalo Stout & Weizenheimer Hefe Weizen. In addition to these, Rogers adds a seasonal & specialty brew to the bar, which he changes frequently.

Very much enjoyed our experience. Met friends from out of town and spent a lot of time visiting with them. I didn't feel rushed at all to "get in and get out". I would definitely go again!

This was our first visit to Big Rock and it was a keeper - will now be on our list for special occasion outings. Although I gave them 4 stars across the board, it could as easily have been five - found no fault with anything - will return and hope for its consistency. Thanks much!!!

Our food was fantastic, but the waitress came over to clear plates a little too frequently--making us feel rushed. Also, most times when I order steak, the server brings steak knives before the food arrives, but out waitress forgot, so we had to sit with the steaks in front of us waiting for her to bring us knives--but we understand people forget things sometimes.

Our dining experience at Big Rock Chop House was nothing short of incredible. Rebecca was our waitress and I have to say she was one of the best we have had...Everything she suggested was quite exquisite and the service was second to none... Thank you for making our special evening a night i don't think either one of us will ever forget.

I was impressed with the food, the wine list and especially the dessert--the sorbet was amazing. However, I was not impressed with the mandatory valet with $4.00 service fee. Overall, it was a good dining experience and I would return for special occasions.

This wqas my second visit within 2 weeks and the service was poor both times. I'm not sure if the server had too many tables or was just not organized. The food is pretty good and the atmosphere is great (especially for outside), but I don't have 1.5 hours for lunch and that seems to be the going time frame. Please work on improving service, I like coming to Big Rock.

The food and beer were very good and I'd go back for them. However, the hostess failed to ask if we wanted a table in the smoking or non-smoking section. They put us in the bar area that was a smoking section. The cigarette smoke was ok, however they allow cigar smoking. The table next to us had four super cool dudes smoking four disgusting "dog-turd" cigars that absolutely ruined the experience for me. After feeling sick from the cigar smoke for 20 minutes, I literally had enough, got up from the table and waited outside for about 20 minutes for the rest of my party to finish. My clothes and everything else smelled like those disgusting cigars. Too bad such a nice place and portential experience was ruined by someone else.

Food was great, it usually is. Our server was just okay...she chewed gum while telling us the specials, and she delivered the dessert menu telling us to look it over while I was still eating my dinner. My husband said to her, "we'd like to get through dinner first, thanks."

Big Rock is great! Pricey but great. Ambiance is romantic yet friendly, food is delicious, staff is incredible. You're going to spend some coin here but you'll still be talking about it years from now on how great the experience was. Wish I could afford to eat here on a monthly basis.
