We work in the building, so it is definitely convenient, but even if it weren't so convenient we would still be fans. Service has always been spectacular. When our group went from 7 to 13, I called to see if they could still accommodate us and they did so with grace - and still managed to provide great service and 13 perfectly prepared meals - 8 of which were their amazing sea bass.

Our waitress was phenomenal!! I wish I could remember her name. The calamari was delicious, however the chicken and shrimp lettuce wraps were too salty and the flavor was a little too overwhelming. The cocktails were very good. Overall the restaurant was very good because of the service and the ambiance

Kona Grill is an excellent choice for casual dining in downtown Baltimore. The restaurant is nicely appointed with Hawaiian touches as is its menu. On this particular night, we ordered macademia nut encrusted chicken and big island meatloaf. Portions were generous and well-prepared. For dessert, we ordered the key lime pie which was yummy. Service was very attentive and friendly.

The food was good but not outstanding. We started with the pot stickers appetizer, which were well prepared and tasty. My girlfriend had sushi, which she did not comment on at all. I had one of the signature dishes, basil pesto linguine. It was flavorful and enjoyable. The waiter was amazingly unfriendly, bordering on rude. After ordering wine, our waiter showed up with the bottle, did not introduce himself, got through the tasting ritual without conversation, never asked if we wanted appetizers, then he walked away. That set the tone for the meal. It would be difficult to recommend the restaurant after our experience with the waiter. Good service makes or breaks the meal. Our waiter failed to make the dining experience enjoyable.

Our party of four had a reservation at 8:30pm on a Saturday night. It was quite busy as expected but there was only a mild wait at the valet lane. We were promptly seated at our table and had a little wait for drinks and our initial order as there was slight confusion about which server got us. After that the service was prompt and food delicious. The temperature in the restaurant was a bit warm for what I like but it's cold outside and the place was packed so it's understandable.

We had the sea bass and filet and both were superb. Broccolini a little too roasted, but delicious. Apple bread pudding a real hit with us. Interesting beer list with many foreign additions. Excellent service with multiple servers. Everything timed perfectly. A little stingy on the sushi portion..but..delicious

A fantastic spot! Really nice setting in downtown Baltimore directly adjacent to the Convention Center. All-new decor with a really cool 'indoor' outdoor area (eat around the fire pit!). Sushi was outstanding and the chicken chili is unique. Overall, the foot presentation and alternatives (Terra chips instead of potato chips) makes this a really cool find!

Was quite disappointed in the total experience. The truffle encrusted medallions were embarrasing they were thin hockey pucks when I even ordered them medium, the rice hard like it had been sitting and the broccolini not cooked at all. My husband's tuna tartar was overcooked as well. The waitress took at least 10 mins to get us our first drink, then couldnt even open a bottle of wine. The dessert was the only saving grace of bread pudding which was delicious.

One of the best chain restaurants I've been too. Traveled all the way from Gaithersburg just to try this place - very much worth the trip. They are a block or two from the "main drag" of the Inner Harbor, so most people won't stumble upon this place - you have to make it a point to go.

We made a reservation and sat 2 of the 4 of us. When the next 2 arrived, they told them there was no such reservation and sat them in another part of the restaurant. As a result, it took 20 minutes to realize that each pair was actually in opposite corners of the restaurant. Hence, it appears that they staff at front desk are a bit disorganized.

Kona was wonderful. Everyone was very helpful including our wonderful waiter. He brought everything we asked for and had good suggestions. He even suggested a few places to go afterward. At the end of dinner he brought us a huge piece of red velvet cake free of charge! It's my favorite and the best I've ever had. The sushi is exceptional and everything is very reasonably priced. Would definitely go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, except for the wait person who asked, "Have you finished that bottle of wine already?" when four of us were drinking it and 30 minutes had passed. And later she asked, "Are you finished working on that? before she cleared out plates. I don't consider eating a task, but rather enjoyment. Needless to say, we will go back.

Been here a couple of times now for lunch and dinner. Very satisfied with the food and the service. Great upscale place for lunch if you work near the harbor. Everyone has a great attitude and seems to genuinely want diners to enjoy their experience. Sushi selection is not extensive but is very good as is the quality. The rest of the menu is excellent. Costs are very reasonable. We had a huge dinner for two with a bottle of wine for about $75 total with tip. This is my new favorite downtown/inner harbor spot hands-down.

The service was fast and friendly, and the space is beautifully decorated. A new addition the Baltimore dining scene and a beautifully designed spot. Service is spotty at best and one waiter even snubbed our table. Huge variety of Asian inspired dishes and sushi. The halibut entree was excellent and we had nothing that was not fixed as offered. Drinks are good and hearty. Wine list a little over-priced. Would return and try again. This was my first visit to Kona Grill. I was very excited to try it! I had two sushi rolls and miso soup which were very good. My boyfriend ordered the NY Strip medium. It came out well done and extremely dry! The coloring of the inside of the steak looked like it was thrown on the grill right out of the freezer. Worst steak I have ever had! The manager came by and asked how things were and I told him the steak was not good at all. He offered to remake it but we declined. He did nothing else to try and compensate for such an unacceptable meal. A round of drinks at least would have been appreciated. Although the sushi was good I would not go back! I now understand why there were so many empty tables at 7:30pm on a Friday night!

Very loud. server didn't even tell us his name...I had to ask him. Really nice atmosphere My wife and I were out for a not so frequent romantic dinner, unfortunately, there was a large birthday party right next to us. They were extremely vocal and a disturbance to the entire restaurant. No one asked them to control the noise level. Overall, on a scale of 1-10....4. I did speak to a manager that was very apologetic and assured me that the customers are their main focus.

I used to frequent a Kona Grill in Scottsdale, so I was stoked about one opening in Baltimore. I ate there this past weekend and I have to admit I was slightly disappointed. The macadamia nut chicken was fabulous, as was the sushi! The vegetables were crunchy and undercooked and the avocado in my husband's salad still had skin on it in some places and it was not even close to being ripe. The table looked like it had extensions on the end of the table to be able to sit 6 people but the ends weren't level and forced members of our party to hold their drinks steady all night in order to not eventually wear them! The waitress was good and she was attentive. Overall a fair experience. Perhaps I'll give this another shot before I write if off. :)

Calamari was perfect, light batter, tender squid, with a unique and tasty cream sauce.
