The food and service was phenomenal. The beef tenderloin with summer truffles was heaven, and I didn't touch a door the entire time I was there. Staff was always there to open a door or answer a question. Very impressive.

The setting and service were very nice, but the food was so dissapointing that I had to give it a lower overall score. It has all the makings of a fine dining experience, but each course missed more than it hit. Sea urchin ice cream? Nobody wants that!

I was surprised not to see the Chef's name mentioned anywhere on menu. The service was personable and very efficient without being intrusive. Elegant ambiance. I'm not always very adventurous, but enjoyed this very much -- we mixed the tasting menu with items menu items and really appreciated the flexibility to do so. Would recommend to friends, clients.

A dining experience we will always remember. I especially appreciated the white theme with the roses inside and the white flowers outside. Gorgeous with the white lighting.

Tops anything in the North Bay. We have lived here for 12 years and we have explored many great places. The amazing food, the sensitive wine pairing, the ourstanding service, the total experience tops the French Laundry and Cyrus, among others. Over the years, I have been to a couple of places that came up to this level - the Herb Farm (before it burned), Charlie Trotter's (at the special table in the kitchen), and Pre Catalan.

Michelin-rated two stars to Chef Chris Kostow and it seems like he's working toward three. Innovations such as uni sorbet and sweetbread and lobster abound. The foie and strawberries is as pretty as it is delicious.

  • Meadowood is elegant and intimate.
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008

Meadowood is elegant and intimate. The food is extremely artful. Each course was tasty and beautifully plated, but tiny, precious mouthfuls. We may not have been the right group for a Meadowood experience. Our waitress seemed frustrated and impatient with us. She was arrogant, and patronizing and eventually just left us alone for lengths of time. She told us that the chef would not serve fish or meat "well done" even though two people in our group would not eat rare meat or fish. A dish was served to the wrong person without an appropriate wine pairing and a correction was made 15 minutes later without apology. The experience costs the moon and you would expect to be treated like royalty, but we left feeling patronized and hungry.

My wife and I had dined at the Restaurant at Meadowood shortly before they received their 2 Michelin stars so after we had heard that there'd been a change in the chef, we returned with some trepidation. If anything, the food is BETTER! Creativity is high, the ingredients are superb and, as before, the service and room are elegant without being pretentious. Clearly, every member of the staff truly wants their guests to be happy. The food is the real revelation because of the intensity and compatibility of flavors as well as the sophisticated pairings in both tasting and a la carte menus. I notice there has been a knock to this restaurant over small portions. I don't agree with this. The flavors and dishes are so satisfying that a lar

they have really stellar (and ample) drinks, the service was very good although not quite as coordinated as some other 2* restaurants. waiters were very attentive and did research on any questions they didn't immediately know the answer to (including finding specific brands of cherries for my husband in his drink). the food was very good as well. the quality of the ingredients was superb with generally perfect execution and great flavor combinations. my seafood dish came out a bit on the room-temperature side of things- i wasn't sure if this was intentional. i completely enjoyed myself and would happily recommend this restaurant to anyone.
