A word from Lincoln Ristorante
At Lincoln Ristorante, we offer our interpretation of modern Italian cuisine in New York at Lincoln Center. Our philosophy is simple: to source the best local ingredients and prepare them with authentic Italian methods and spirit. While our location beside Lincoln Center’s reflecting pool is exquisite, with panoramic views and a grass lawn roof, the heart of our restaurant is the central open kitchen.

The menu offers our take on traditional preparations ranging from spaghetti al pomodoro to vitello tonnato and simply grilled branzino. Antipasti coax rustic ingredients into dishes with deep, savory flavors. Desserts are beautiful renditions of Italy’s classics: light, lush and irresistible.

While reservations are recommended to ensure a table, walk-ins are welcome at our bar where the full menu is served. We are open seven days a week offering lunch, pre-theater, dinner and weekend brunch.

We went for lunch during restaurant week. Everything was outstanding and we will now make this a restaurant to frequent, especially if attending a performance at Lincoln Center. However, for us, it is also in our neighborhood and will be a destination in itself.

We had read good things about this place and Jonathan Benno, but were disappointed when we came for the Restaurant Week lunch. The fresh breads of sesame and focaccia were the best of the lunch. Appetizers: the burrata was good, but the salumi selections were not good - one variety tasted like luncheon meat. Entrees: the rigatoni was good, the flounder itself was good - but the seafood broth was too fishy, the lamb shoulder was gamey. Dessert: overall disappointed and not impressed (the crème fraiche cake was better than the almond cake). Overall feel of the restaurant and the service was great. If I had to base the experience on the restaurant week food they served, I would not come back.

I went to lunch here with two other people this week and overall we all thought the restaurant was wonderful. Our waiter was quite knowledgeable about the menu and helped us narrow down our choices. The food was delicious. My only criticism was that the "bread man" came to the table and offered a small piece of bread ( which was delicious ), but he never returned to ask if we wanted more. Our waiter never came back to ask how our main course was---he was not to be found--so we couldn't even ask him about the bread. This might seem like a small thing, but it really would have made the lunch more enjoyable. I would go back and try it again.

We visited Lincoln on the recommendation of a friend and it fell short of his recommendations. It was our first time to the restaurant and we expected a little aid or recommendation from the waiter, he was unhelpful and held an air that we were unimportant. It felt as if they were busy enough so they did not need our business and he was not concerned with our enjoyment of the restaurant. The food was excellent but we've had better. We were hoping for an excellent meal matched with excellent service and the restaurant falls short of that.

Dined on a quiet Sunday night. We were seated in a different area, not part of the main dining room but its was airy and pleasant. The food was top notch and the service attentive but not fussy. There was undue noise from the open kitchen but the good food and the ambience of Lincoln Center on a Sunday evening in the summer made it a great choice.

I asked about spicing in one of the dishes and the waiter (didn't ask his name) was happy to ask the chef in order to give me the information. We went for Restaurant Week lunch. It had a better selection than most restaurants. We have eaten here before and the level of food and service is terrific. Each course excelled. One of our party was gluten intolerant which our wait person picked up on when he refused bread. She took charge and made sure the whole meal was taken care of with no fuss at all. Expert service. Would return to Lincoln and look forward to it.

Everything was delicious, very fresh and top notch.. Maybe its my own preference but the choices for restaurant week lunch did not allow for balance of vegetables and protein. the appetizer was mozzarella cheese with a few little pieces of tomatoes (I think the other choice was a plate of different meats it was in italian so I'm not sure), the main course was either fish combo with no vegetables or lamb which was about 85% lamb and 15 & vegetable. No one at our table chose the other main course but I think it was pasta. Deserts were good but sweet ample (for me too ample) portion. I would prefer more vegetables and less dessert Maybe you have to stay home to eat really healthy

a disappointment for me. I have eaten here before during restaurant week and at other times and enjoyed my meals then. I did not enjoy this time. the salami plate was inadequate and all the meats were very fatty. The cod main dish that I chose was too tomaty and spicy - not described that way on the menu. I would have chosen something else. I will choose another restaurant in the future.

We were very excited about this place after having read the positive reviews and ordered the 4 course meal with the wine pairing. I guess it best to start with the positives first. The wine pairing selections were some of the best We've had to bring out the favors in the plates. Unfortunately, the wine arrived AFTER the food had gotten cold - the service left a lot to be desired. Impersonal, rushed with an assortment of waitstaff running about plopping down plates then trying to remove them before you were finished. It resembled a food factory; not at all a dining "experience". The food? If you like authentic regional, Italian cuisine with fresh seasonal ingredients, there are way better restaurants for way less money and stress.

Creative menu with an Italian theme. Food is extremely well prepared. The octopus carpaccio was outstanding. The wine list is thankfully not overwhelming in the number of selections and the prices are reasonable. The selection includes wines from small vineyards producing excellent predominately Italian wines at fair prices.

Lincoln is always wonderful but this time was truly magical. The weather was perfect so we sat outside and were fortunate to catch a breathtaking, innovative musical performance, Adams' "Sila: The Breath of the World", in and around the pool in front of the Beaumont theater while we dined. We had the four course menu (starter, pasta, meat and dessert) with wine pairing and every bite and sip was superb. Service was charming and efficient as always. We have always been highly pleased with the food, the ambience and the service at Lincoln, and they always get you out in time for your performance, so it's perfect for a Lincoln Center pre-show dinner.

We love LINCOLN RESTAURANTE and have dined there multiple times and never have been disappointed. The food is excellent, the service nearly impeccable, and the ambience with spaciously placed table a true delight… but it gets even better if you can snag a reservation during Restaurant Week - perhaps the best value in all of Manhattan. The summer 2014 lunch choices were delicious - and light - the wine paring is something all restaurants should offer.. makes the meal so much more special… unfortunately this is not a secret… getting a reservation can be hard.
