Available for lunch, brunch or dinner for a maximum of 40 guests, we provide luscious food in an inviting room of cherry wood and warm colors. For parties of 40 to 60, enjoy sitting on our mezzanine level for semi private dining under the beautiful paintings of opulent pears, plums and peaches by artist Laura Parker. Menus are designed to showcase the freshest seasonal produce and local ingredients. Our wine list is carefully crafted to compliment your feast. The entire restaurant is available for parties of 60 -150. Whether you are celebrating a baptism, bar mitzvah, birthday, wedding or anniversary, Insalata’s will help you create a memorable event.

Our goal at Insalata's has always been to bring luscious Mediterranean food, gracious service and a warm atmosphere to our diners. For over 15 years we have shared this experience of intimate dining and joyful celebrations in a variety of ways. First and foremost as a fine dining restaurant with our beautiful private Siena room in which to sit and relax and enjoy a meal. We also offer take out dining for those days when time is of the essence, or catered affairs where we bring great food and staff into your home or venue. Our guests have become family and we have grown together in the community in which we all live and work. Everyone at Insalata's is extremely proud to be a part of this extended "village" family.

    I have been to Insalata's many times and am always impressed by the professionalism of its staff and the consistent exceptional quality of the food (ingredients, preparation, presentation, etc). From the charming hosts that greet you to the bartender, wait staff, bus persons, etc, it is a very attentive and warm experience each time. This is a great place for regulars and a destination restaurant. Easy access from SF and the East Bay (direct route from the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge).

    Normally I LOVE this restaurant but this night was not as good as it usually is. I ordered the salmon rare and it came quite well-done and I didn't feel like sending it back so I ate it. The sauce was a little bit rich. My husband and mother-in-law loved what they had, though.

    Food is consistently outstanding with wonderful entrees. Highly recommended for special occasions. Very nice decor and atmosphere - casual, yet elegant too. Everything is prepared with attention to detail. We dine at Insalatas weekly because of the wonderful dining experience. The chefs are excellent and the every entree on the menu is prepared with the utmost attention to taste and presentation. The food is comparable to the very finest of restaurants in SF without the exorbitant prices and parking challenges.

    The restaurant ambiance was terrific and the energy good, but the tables were so close together that it was very uncomfortable. We felt claustrophobic and the people sitting next to us kept listening to our conversation. My wife ordered the lamb and it was not at all good. We considered calling the restaurant directly the next day to let them know, but wasn't sure what good it would do. The restaurant came with great recommendations from some local and frequent patrons who are friends, but we had a bad experience. Maybe we just picked a bad night. We might try it again, but it would take some persuading.

    I was so impressed that they made the extra effort to decorate the rim of the dessert plate with the NAME of the birthday honoree! What a special touch! The food was definitely fit for foodies, on par with many of the SF and Yountville restaurants. There are not many of these places to found in Marin. The service was excellent and we appreciated the style and attention of our waiter, James.

    We were parked at a tiny table that appeared to be squeezed in as a last resort. IMMEDIATELY beside us was a gentleman with a guitar setup playing and singing loudly. We couldn't hear ourselves think, we were ignored by waiters and the romantic evening we'd planned was a total washout. We haven't been back and don't plan to, it's definitely not worth the drive.
