We are always looking for that special place to be a favorite to return to and to bring friends and we may have found it with Cuvee' Wine and Bistro in Ocala. One would be hard pressed to find a greater wine selection by the glass anywhere, over a hundred, and the food was prepared and presented with great skill, style and respect for the ingredients. Our server Jay was the consummate professional and very entertaining. He was very helpful in assisting with wine pairings recommending a superb sauvignon blanc from New Zealand to go with our warm cheddar starter. All entrees for our foursome were excellent including my rack of lamb. The molten chocolate cake which I could not resist made for a big finish. We shall return.

We have been to Cuvee several times since they opened, and while it is a great concept and awesome wine bar, they seem to be trying too hard when it comes to the food. First, the wine bar portion is fantastic. The selection is quite broad, and combined with the overall atmosphere, are the best two things about Cuvee. The service is always great, however the food, well... They have what for Ocala is a very elaborate menu, however it seems they rely more on salt and other spices, as opposed to letting the key ingredients speak for themselves. While I certainly don't expect 4-5 Diamond quality in Ocala, having dined in many such restaurants, it's easy to spot when a place is trying too hard. We will be back, but for wine and dessert only...

Dana is the server any person who loves fine dinning would want to have. All the staff are great, food is great esp when they have Pompano:) Cuvee is the place to be in Ocala comparable to Seasons 52 and Copper Canyon Grill but more quiet. If you love wine and great food (business or romantic dinner) try Cuvee.

As usual our waiter - Jay - was totally "up to standards," providing excellent service, with a smile, a joke, and refreshing outlook. The cocktails were excellent as was the food. The Osso Buco - well, I can't stop raving about it! FANTASTIC! (I am starting to salivate again as we speak!) The chef came out from the back and I offered to adopt him! The manager had to pry my arms off of him! (I'm so embarrassed!) My wife had the Fillet Mignon which she said was terrific too. (This woman hates rare meat, but says this was the best she's ever had) We may have a convert here!

We wanted to take our friends out for their anniversary. They said they wanted something different so I looked up some places and we didn't want to go to Ocala until we found Cuvee online. At seeing the website and the menu, we were sold. When we arrived at Cuvee we thought maybe because of the prices, they would skimp on the food, but it was just the opposite. Everything was more than worth the dollar signs and our server, John, was the absolute best! We have been telling everyone we possibly can about Cuvee Wine & Bistro. We will also be bringing some family in August for their anniversary as well...but we truly hope to make it in before then. Nothing against Ocala, but being inside Cuvee makes you forget where you are for a moment

Dana is the best server and all the staff and David the manager make you feel very special in this place. The food was excellent until we had desert - each coarse was a little more impressive but the Betty Cake was a let down. The place is a little pricey but with improved desert, would be worth it. We are not drinkers so the expansive wine, while impressive, was not us.

"Cuvee has become my favorite restaurant in Ocala because of the new management and the high quality of food and the beautiful presentation. The menu was refreshing along with the daily specials which were a nice twist to ordinary type food. I had the french grilled elk and the avocado crab salad which was healthy and delicious. The ambiance is always inviting and the over the top lovely wine bar in the background. Since under new management I think Cuvee will become a top rated spot in central Florida. Thanks for a lovely evening and keep up the good work!

Last night, Pat and I were joined by a couple of good friends for dinner at Cuvee Wine and Bistro, a fairly new Restaurant at 2237 SW 19th Ave in Ocala. On entering the Restaurant we were immediately greeted by the Hostess who ushered us to our Reserved Table. Our initial impression was very positive and aesthetically pleasing. The color scheme of Black and Silver was extremely attractive. The Dining Room was quite small and the walls were lined with Wine Bottles as was the bar area and the wine tasting room. Although none of us had wine, it's one of those places where you purchase a Card which entitles you to the Dollar Value in Wine Samples which you select by walking around the various wine dispensing areas. I want to like this restaurant so much, but once again the dinner was very average. The place is beautiful and the wine tasting is fun, but when it comes to the food, it was not very good.I hope they find a menu that can match the beautiful decor and atmosphere. I will give it another shot in a few months.

This was our first time dining at Cuvee and it lived up to the Hype! They have like 100 wines you can try by the glass, the Ribeye Steak was amazing...better than Ruth's Chris! My wife enjoyed the Seared Tuna. David, the GM, helped us select wines that we just what we asked for, he even got us to try wines less than what we had already tried. He never tried to "sell" us on anything. Loved it, we will return soon!

This was terribe food. They are charging prices of a fine restaurant and you should get food of that quality/ Will not return.

We really enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The decor was beautiful and the presentation of the food was superb although on the pricey side. This would make it a special occasion place only not one we could afford on a regular basis.A very unique concept with the wine tastings. We felt if it was very busy this might cause a lot of congestion around some of the tables as people are serving themselves and trying the extensive number of wines.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2006

Cuvee is beautiful & absolutely scrumptious! We ordered an appetizer, shrimp bisque & a Caesar to share. They were all extremely flavorful. The olive loaf that is served before dinner was accompanied by olive oil & sun dried tomatoes as well as butter; warm and delicious! To our surprise, the entrees were generously portioned. My husband ordered the 20 oz rib-eye, it was cooked perfectly & melted in your mouth & stayed warm until the last bite! I opted for the special of the night “surf & surf;” three delectable pieces of fish & 2 large clusters of Dungeness crab claws. It was a plateful of luscious seafood heaven. We had a great time trying wines from their extensive sampling system; just buy a reloadable card, try 2 oz or buy a glass!

I was there once with a group from work, so this night I brought the wife and two couples. We were offered a table for 6 in a private wine room which we accepted. We spent a half hour sampling the many wines available at the dispensers, you load a card with $ and choose the wines and size samples you'd like. Our server was very attentive and the manager was eager to please also. The food is priced on the higher side or Ocala but is very good and very nicely presented. Be careful ordering wine by the glass from your server as it can by shockingly expensive. For the special occasion figure on $100 to $120 per couple for dinner, or go in after the movies for some appetizers and wine for about $50. If you like wine this place is a must see.
