The food was good but the space is terrible too narrow and the servers needed to orchestrate there moving through the long narrow single aisle. There is no place to put a coat except the back of the chair so it keeps getting knocked. Curtain in front does little to protect against cold air when door opens.

Heard lots of good things about Barbuzzo and my husband and I decided to go to kick off our anniversary celebration this past weekend. We sampled several different things: pig popcorn [nothing special], bone marrow [my husband loved], burrata salad [impeccable], but then it went all downhill. My Branzino was the biggest disappointment. The reason I went to the restaurant in the first place was for this dish and it was so unfreshly prepared that the fish was dry and almost rubbery. Ordered Gnocci, it was over saturated with butter and way too overcooked. Can't even remember what the other dish was my husband ordered, but we left Barbuzzo still hungry and much lighter in the pocketbook. Ended up having to go somewhere else to eat after.

We loved the sheep's milk ricotta, the meatballs, salad with parsnips and pumpkin. Informative and engaging waitstaff. Great suggestions for wine by the glass. The wine is quite helpful to accomodate to the pew like chairs. We can't wait to return and try some more dishes.

Amazing food. Amazing service. There is heart and passion put into every aspect of this restaurant. If you know the type of folks that make and serve the food on 13th between Chestnut and Sansom, you should know that it is only getting better. If don't know about this amazing block of food, then I don't know where you've been eating in Philly, but starting out here will help you make up for lost time.

Our server was extremely knowlegable about the menu and wines. Very friendly and attentive without overdoing it. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxing with dim lighting and candles. It is a bit on the small side, but typical if you're used to city dining. The food was magnificent. We had almond milk polenta, brussel sprouts with pancetta, and the meatballs. Everything was extremely flavorful, fresh, and simply delicious! The menu has a wide variety of tapas items, definitely something to satisfy everyone. For dessert we had a salted caramel pudding/custard. The Este tempranillo wine was a perfect compliment to the meal. A fabulous experience and I will definitely be returning and recommending this restaurant to friends!

While the food was good, the layout of the restaurant is very poor. There is no room for customers or wait staff to move down the one narrow path directly through the restaurant. Our party of ten was jammed against the wall and in the aisle. It was very uncomfortable and the noise level was too high for conversation down the table. Staff was pleasant and accomodating but the physical space was not.

My first experience was extremely memorable. We shared the 1/2 chicken dish which was bountiful by small plate standards and the strozzapreti pasta. The pasta was absolutely scrumptious and was nice companion with the chicken. For an appetizer we shared the olives. We liked the idea of 1-1/2 glasses of wine "Q" which was perfect. The desserts options looked fabulous however we were "just right" from our meal and didn't want to over do it. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly.

As always, Barbuzzo provided impeccable food! I try new things each time but always end up adding the beet salad to my order-- so delicious and perfectly put together! The only down side is that the restaurant itself is very small so you end up sitting quite close to your neighboring diners and don't have much room for coats, purses, etc. Even so, I would highly reccommend Barbuzzo to anyone!

We really enjoyed the food at Barbuzzo. They serve mostly small plates meant for sharing but they weren't too small. Some of the things on the menu sounded a bit strange but when the dishes came out there were just terrific. The place is cute and casual but your are jammed in and it is noisey. But the food is worth it and the prices and reasonable.

This place was DELICIOUS! I've eaten everywhere in Center City and didn't expect to be impressed, but I was wrong. The wine list has bargains, the pizzas were astonishing, and I even relished the BRUSSEL SPROUTS! How often does that happen? Run, do not walk.

Absolutely stunning and creative small plates are the heart of this menu. The food is bursting with fresh flavor. I think I ate the best meatball in my life! The cheese platters were filled with some of the most fresh and intensely flavored cheeses combined with unique spreads and spcies. The foie grois is to die for! An outstanding experience.

Excellent meal intelligently served by Cassandra. We had the roasted Brussel Sprouts and the Lardo pizza. We talked ourselves into the caciocavallo staffed meatballs which came with a zesty tomato sauce. We were expecting a couple of cocktail sized meatballs, but were rewarded with two baseball sized specimans. They were outstanding! For dessert we had the salted caramel budino. It too was very good. We'll return the next time we are in town.

Barbuzzo is EXCELLENT! I wanted to go back the very next day! Everything we ate was wonderful, at one point we even said "How is it possible that every single thing is this excellent??" The only thing that wasn't great was the vegetable board, skip that and get more cheese! The cheese dishes are to die for, the pizzas are delicious and the salted caramel budino could, quite possibly, be the best thing I have ever eaten, ever. I will be back as soon as possible. The space is a bit small so you're sitting very close to whoever is at the next table but it's cute and comfortable. GO TO BARBUZZO!
