Recently went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Although we did make reservations, we had to wait about 20-30 minutes for a table, which was understandable since it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. Food was wonderful, our waiter was great, and we had a wonderful night. Well worth the price!

You can't really go wrong with a pot of melted cheese or chocolate... That said, our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. There was a group of ten eight year olds running up and down the stairs and playing in and near the bathrooms that took away from the ambiance a bit, but once they were gone things vastly improved!

the melting pot is the perfect location for celebrating any kind of event or milestone you have! your dining experience will be 2+ hrs, make sure you go with people you like and don't have a set time to leave! when we went this time we were only dining for 2 and found the noise level in the restaurant to grow too loud for us to have a quiet conversation - large groups and families seem to dine here most - wouldn't recommend for a small group or 2 people.

I went during happy hour so prices were quite a bit lower than usual, and it was worth every penny! Good food and a great experience. Our server was very down to earth and seemed very knowledgable about the menu, so that made my dinner even more enjoyable! Definitely must try eating at the melting pot if you live near Philly!

My wife and I were visiting Phillu for a conference and thought the Melting Pot would be a good change from the traditional atmosphere. We had a great time. The resturant was private and we enjoyed a night alone. the booths are private and allow you to feel like there is no one else around. We have already searched for one in our area - and my wife is has already ordered a fondue pot for home.

Even though I have dined here numerous times this was the first time I can say that I had the best service ever. Our waiter Chris was amazing!!! If it was possible to give more than 5 stars for the service I would. He was so upbeat and outgoing throughout our diner that it felt like he was more a friend than a waiter. I know anyone that goes here will have a wonderful experience but I am confident that Chris will make it outstanding!!!!

Being a Philly native I know of all the good spots in the city. I thought of the Melting Pot as someithing totally unique from the others. My wife and I loved the service and the waitress was so happy. The way they prepare the food is amazing and I personally opted for the extra $25.00 for half dozen roses and a Framed picture of us (It was Valentines Day afterall :) Without Alcohol you can walk out of there spending less than $100 for 2 peoplle. I would recommend it for a romantic night out or for a good time on the weekend.

We ran late for our reservation and STILL they were accommodating and seated us quickly. We went VDay weekend and it was fairly busy. The waiter Dalton was attentive to our needs and was super funny and personable. Mike (the manager) is extremely courteous and super friendly! He and Kim are truly managers and friends to everyone who enters that restaurant. I have been to several different locations of the melting pot and actually live closer to the warrington location. I would much rather drive the extra miles and time to go to Center city Melting Pot! They are so much more kid friendly (even though this time we were on a date just us two). The food selection is always fresh and plentiful!! I absolutely LOVE this place!

The Melting Pot is a great restaurant for special occasions. The food is surprisingly tasty and the nature of the meal (they prepare the food in front of you and you cook your own main dish) makes it fun and engaging. I wouldn't say the experience is worth the Valentine's Day price, but my boyfriend and I had a reservation for the day before and the restaurant closed for the snow. They were great about rescheduling and let us order off of the regular menu instead of the Vday Prix Fixe menu because of the rescheduling. We also were seated at a table with two burners, so we got to taste single portions of different sauces instead of having to decide on only one for the both of us to share. This made the experience even more enjoyable!

The melting pot was a great experience. We went on Valentine's day and were able to get a corner booth which was nice. The food was, needless to say, awesome. The cheese and chocolate fondue are to die for! The staff was very friendly as well which made it easy to connect with our server. The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 was because of the price hike for Valentine's day. I made our reservation over a month beforehand assuming their prices would be the same, if not a little higher than usual. I was never informed that there would be a $30 price increase per person. They did try to make up with a framed pic, champagne, and high end meat, so it made it better. Just beware before booking for a holiday that they might jump the price up.

Although the cost may be cost prohibitive to do more ofter it was a fun night out. We have six children ages 20-9. The food was very good steak was the favorite at our table. We got there at Happy Hour and were able to take advantage of the pricing. It was our Valentine Family Dinner. Service was great our waiter was very patient and attentive. If I could make a reccommendation either a group discout or a party tray offering samples. At 3.50 for a soda or lemonade for the kids pay attention and order water. Its better for them anyway. Overall a great night with the kids laughing, sharing stories, and being thankful for the love we have and give to each other.

This is a good place to go for a some what different dining experience. Great for a romantic night out for 2 or a group of friends looking for a fun night out. The only thing that is a minus against this restaurant would be that your essentially boiling all your meat...now this works fine for the lobster or shrimp but for filet and chicken it's a bit iffy on taste. I have to admit though the dips that are included with the meal do for the most part make up for the somewhat bland tasting meats. Another knock against the Melting Pot would be the price which can easily exceed $50 a person. The real reason for going top Melting Pot is for the interactive dining experience which is interesting and makes for a vibrant evening.

We love going to The Melting Pot: Center City! This was not our first time so I guess we would be considered regulars. Everything was wonderful. The only reason I did not give the ambiance 5 stars was because while we were there, someone went out the back door without first unlocking it setting off the fire alarm. They had such an issue trying to reset it. Other than that we were very happy with our choice and would go back again. Also we love the new menu! They got rid of "The Big Night Out" item and made the choices per person so if you didn't like your partner's choice of items you could get your own. Keep up the great work, guys!

I went there to find the restaurant was closed and no one sent me an email anything.. Very dissapointing being that I'm not close and had to cross the bridge to come.. I know the weather can close the restaurant but my reservation should not have been accepted if you were closed!!

The ambience is great. If you enjoy cooking your own food, and like the idea of spending at least two hours cooking it, then I say try it. It was too long and drawn out for us. The food was okay, we're big eaters and we all felt it wasn't enough. But the highlight, to me, was the salad, which I thought was better then the meal, and of course, the dessert was good. We went restuarant week, not sure if that's why. But we felt it was just okay. It was an experience, but wouldn't do it again.

I have been to the Melting Pot in several locations and always have a fun time. This time I took some friends for Restaurant Week and had a blast. The main course dish is good, but nothing special. What make the meal are the cheese and chocolate fondues. If you like Mexican, definitely get the Fiesta Cheddar. We had to get more bread to finish wiping the bowl. (And they give you extra dippers for free!) Our new favorite dessert fondue was Cookies and Cream. It's a dark chocolate lover's dream. All in all, a great evening.

The food was wonderful and our waitress was amazing. The only problem I had was that their parking validation did not work and I was charged $20 extra dollars for parking. Although this annoyed me it was not a huge problem. My big problem was being harassed and followed by 2 homeless men for a block begging me for money. Nothing like having a great dinner and being stalked to your car after.
