A word from Yankee Pier - Larkspur
Yankee Pier Larkspur is harbored in a quaint historic landmark house built in the late 1800’s. The main dining room seats 49. Outdoor seating is available on our heated patios, serving 14 on the rear patio, and 24 out front with a sandbox for the youngsters.

Styled after New England seaside clam shacks, our upscale casual atmosphere lends itself to families and friends, young and seasoned. Our menu includes Fried Whole Belly Ipswich Clams, Lobster Rolls, Live Maine Lobster, and Clam Chowder. Fare from our local waters abound such as oysters and manila clams from Tomales Bay as well as local fish and crab caught and delivered daily by local our purveyors. For those landlubbers among you, Yankee Pier also has great burgers, naturally raised steak and free range chicken. Our all American wine list boasts some of the best from California, Washington and Oregon.

We have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed it. Everyone else in our party thought the food was good. I ordered halibut and thought it was just OK. Sides just OK. Yankee Pier salad was great, as usual.

I have been to the Yankee Pier and this was the only time I was dissapointed. The server was uneducated on the menu, the service was very slow and we felt ignored, and the food was so so. They even took one of my favorite things pff the menu: the goat cheese salad. I'll think twice before I take out of towners here again.

Yankee Pier opened as we were leaving the area for retirement in Sonoma County. It received a lot of hype at that time. We decided to stop by on our way back from San Francisco. The food was okay at best. Bradley Ogden's restaurants seem to have lost their luster as they branched out. Same goes for the original Lark Creek in Larkspur and One Market in the City.

Yankee Pier is one of my top three restaurants in Marin - the food is delicious, the ambience is wonderful, and the prices are very reasonable. A constructive suggestion would be to expand their -per glass - wine list. That being said - dining at Yankee Pier is very enjoyable, I recommend it highly! cheers, gaby

We've been several times to this restaurant, the food is always good, and this time our service was very attentive. The only thing people should be aware of is that if you go before 7pm be prepared for a fair amount of "family" noise. the outside patio is set up with a sandbox so small children do run around a bit and can be a bit loud if parents are not watching too closely.

The fried clams are supposed to be belly clams. Those thin things are not belly clams. I had recommeded the dish to my friend and was embarassed. Also, blackening is not supposed to have as much sugar in it as mine had. It was an odd combination of flavors.

We enjoyed our evening. I do NOT understand why OpenTable doesn't/didn't give credit for this dinner. The food was very good, however, the portions that they gave the kids were embarrassingly small.

Despite having a reservation, we were told that they were "running short on tables" when we arrived. Portions were smaller and of less quality then usual on Mother's Day - very disappointing.

Although previous visits to this restaurant were quite pleasant, our Mother's Day lunch was marred by very slow service...took 20 minutes to have someone ask if we wanted drinks and another 20 minutes before our order was taken...and the restaurant was not even full! The food was just ok, we all remembered it being better (and more of it!) in past visits. Not sure we will go back.

We really liked something our server did. When my wife was unsure about what wine to choose out of two different types of white wine, the server brought her a small taste of both. That type of service brought the whole experience up from good to exceptional. We can't wait to go back there.

The restaurant is always friendly and the fish the freshest. Their service is timely, very friendly, and there is rarely more than a few minutes wait if I make a reservation. It is slightly on the more than moderate expense side, but portion size is perfect and I recommend the restaurant regularly to friends. It is a very family type of restaurant. We enjoyed our last visit and will be there again soon.
