A word from Croissants Bistro and Bakery
As a child Croissants' Owner, Heidi Vukov, spent hours in her grandmother's kitchen in Germany, where European bakeries inspired her love for cooking. Since 1991, many loyal patrons have enjoyed Croissants' truly unique creations here in the heart of Myrtle Beach.

It is with great pride that Heidi now introduces this area's first low country Bistro, a lively nighttime version of Croissants...featuring innovative comfort food, perfectly matched wine list, a "Euro-cool" gathering place and prices you'll appreciate as much as the food!

Croissants was 360 degrees of spectacular! I have a restrictive diet that if I do cheat it cannot be with wheat or gluten. When I read they catered to gluten-free diets I booked the reservation. The peanut-encrusted tuna was spot on but dessert was divine! Triple chocolate mousse cake AND it was gluten-free! My sweet tooth has been neglected for 6 months and that cake was like sending my sweet tooth to a resort spa in France! My husband and I found our new date night spot!

Could not have asked for a better anniversary dinner experience. Great food, value, desserts and service plus live music. Since we made reservations in advance, they even had fresh cut flowers on the table. Will schedule another visit next time we are in the area.

Excellent menu and excellent suggested wine pairings with each menu entree. The entrees were fresh, very flavorful and more than enough for two meals. They have an assortment of decadent desserts that are irresistible if you have room for one after the main course. A fine dining experience and wonderful staff. Absolutely the best fresh, homemade lemoncello ever!

This neighborhood gem was suggested by the staff at the resort. It looked very small and we were a bit doubtful, but we were proven wrong!! Had the turkey pimento cheese melt sandwich….delicious!!! My husband had his with the broccoli slaw and I ordered a side salad with the best blue cheese dressing I have ever had. Simple, but excellent. The turkey was the real deal…not deli. Went back for dinner. Had a wonderful meal accompanied by great music. You must get the crab beignets and the shrimp and grits. We are planning to get there again soon. Oh, and also they are a bakery…the pumpkin muffin was perfect!

This neighborhood bistro was highly recommended by friends. We were not disappointed. The food was outstanding. For appetizers we had onion soup that was dark and rich, and a wedge salad that was loaded with blue cheese and fresh bacon bits. For entrees, we had flounder topped with a maple glaze and shrimp and grits, over fried green tomatoes. Both were wonderful choices, although definitely Southern in preparation. We would highly recommend this bistro for dinner, but they also serve lunch and brunch on the weekends. As an added extra, there was live music by a vocalist to add to the ambiance. Since this is also a bakery, all of the deserts were baked on site, although we didn't have room to try any. They looked wonderful.

  • Beyond "The Strip"

    Dined on 10/24/2013
We visit Myrtle Beach once or twice a year for Senior Softball Tournaments. We're not fans of fried seafood and steakhouses, so Croissants was one of our first and luckiest finds beyond "the strip." We dine here every trip, both brunch and dinner, and it's been very consistent. This past trip we drove straight there at 8pm and enjoyed the live music set. Our seafood entrées were outstanding (scallops & flounder.) We dined again on another night, and my crab crepes were burned on the edges, had no veggies, and were covered with gummy sauce. The manager didn't seem to acknowledge the problem. No explanation or attempt to rectify. Despite this anomaly, we'll be back! And yes, the bread and pastries are excellent.

We were from out of town, so we did not know where to dine to celebrate a birthday. We live in a town where the food is exceptional (Durham). We read all the reviews, looked at the on line menu and knew this was the place! The food was fabulous, creative, tasty, with seasonal local produce. It was amazing! Everyone selected something different and each dish was beautifully presented and it was prepared just right. From pork, to grouper, to tuna and shrimp. All the meals were excellent. The desserts were divine. Great place- we will be back!

Love this place. We stop here every year on our annual visit to MB. Dinner is good, but brunch is my fav. Crab Cake Benedict is the ticket. Great bloody mary bar with lots of creative toppings you can add yourself. Bakery is top notch. Beautiful cakes and I especially enjoy the pumpkin bar when in season. You can tell it is a small family owned joint run with a lot of love. Never disappointed.

We chose Croissants over Franks for a special dinner out, and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were great and the food was even better. There is always something interesting on the menu, and for us being able to order locally sourced food is a plus. It beats the upscale chain Resturants handily. It's not a big place but the atmosphere is nice and the artwork is tasteful and much of it for sale. The baked goods are awesome.

I got the shrimp and grits and the favors and combination overall taste was wonderful. BUT the black bean sauce was almost cold, the grits were luke warm, the fried green tomatoes were pretty warm, and the shrimp was luke warm. It never makes any sense to me when a restaurant serves food that is not HOT. That is the most important thing. My husband's food was hot, so that tells me that my dinner waited on his. They need to bring the food out when it is ready and hot no matter if all food for the table is ready. I do not know if I will come back or not.

We visited Myrtle Beach to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and had brunch at Croissants on our last day in town. It was fabulous! Our party consisted of two adults and 6 teenage girls, and everyone thought their meal was heavenly. A special touch was when our server brought over a cupcake and card for our daughter in recognition of her sweet 16. The brunch was the perfect ending to a wonderful weekend!

Although this restaurant has none of the stuffiness of some nicer restaurants, it has top-notch dishes to rival the best restaurants in much larger cities. And, since it is the beach, the atmosphere is comfortable - perhaps casually elegant. This would be a great place for lunch with girlfriends, or Sunday brunch with the family.

Food was delicious and the cappuccino was the best (the foamed milk almost had a meringue consistency). The only thing I advise is to be sure to check your tab/bill when it arrives (waitress charged for large Pellegrino and I had the small portion). Overall a great experience.

Usually we hit the House of Blues gospel brunch when in Myrtle, but their recent price hike sent us looking elsewhere. Croissant's was a great find. The food was great, the staff was welcoming, and the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar was a bonus. We will definitely be back! Shrimp and grits were great, the waffles were light and crispy, and the biscuits and gravy disappeared in a flash. My one complaint is that the chicken on my wife's Caesar salad was dry. Lots of local art on the wall, which I like to see.

We happened upon this restaurant by surprise and loved it so much we sent more of our group back the next evening. The brie and the crab bite apps were fabulous and don't miss the apricot flounder and tuna entrees...outstanding! We had our small children with us the first time and the staff were so gracious and patient with them however I would recommend not taking very small kids as the dining room is on the small side and we felt like we were disturbing the other diners somewhat. The ambiance and total meal experience are so lovely and I look forward to returning!

I was taken to this restaurant by my family for my birthday. While this was a bit outside their comfort zone we each enjoyed our meal and the helpful and flexible staff. My father who is 83 eats little so the staff was open to his sharing from each of our plates. The wine pairing I had was spot on. The German trained chef provided fabulous baked goods and a wonderful cake to round out the evening. I will return again either alone or with friends. Thank you. PS. The jazz duo was the perfect touch. They didn't intrude on our conversations.

Croissants Bistro & Bakery was not what we first thought it would be. It is in a small corner mall, and its name suggests a bakery more than a bistro. When we saw the TV ads, we checked its menu online. That convinced us to try it out, especially due to decent reviews. I had the mahi mahi special for dinner, with corn on the cob, black beans & rice - it was excellent. My husband had the rib eye, and he said his was "very good" but not excellent. I had the choc peanut butter cake and it was marvelous, while my husband had a canoli, which he felt was "ok". Overall, this restaurant was very nice and we would recommend it to others. We were there for a 5pm reservation in order to get to a 7pm movie and service was outstanding for our timing.

We came up from Charleston for the weekend, first time in Myrtle for the both of us. Our reason for coming to myrtle was for a 30th birthday celebration, and we couldn't have picked a better restaurant in Myrtle Beach to celebrate at. The atmosphere was very intimate and romantic. The food was fantastic we shared the Brie, clams and watermelon salad, all prepared with care and expertise. For entrees we got the bone in ribeye, which was cooked to perfection and the pork loin also cooked wonderfully. The food, overall was great and if we return to Myrtle we will definitely return here. The service though was absolutely fantastic and maybe our main reason for returning, as our server made us feel more than welcome, and went above and beyond.
