We weren't expecting much the first time we dined here, but it is a great restaurant. Rocky Mountain atmosphere with great buffalo steaks. The elk medallions was also great. Nice wine pairings as well.

my husband and I love your restaurant; charming, cozy, wonderful ambiance. An FYI: I ordered the wild boar entree, and unbeknownst to both the waitress and I, she thought I wanted the wild boar pizza. When she brought the food, and realized the error, she was extremely gracious and apologetic, which was very much appreciated. It was only minutes before she brought the correct entree, then very graciously offered to bring a free desert, which we all shared. We thank you for your kindness and consideration. The meal and the service was wonderful. We will definitely be back to dine with you again. Sincerely, Shelby White

We took our friend to dinner for her birthday. Service was very slow. Our waiter forgot to bring us bread and our cocktails, served our steaks without steak knives, brought our bill without asking if we wanted dessert (after I had explained to him that we were celebrating our friends birthday when we first arrived), didn't ask if we wanted another drink or coffee. I have to admit that I was very disappointed.

Had a great time, and great meal at the twin owl. My wife and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary, and the host was great at getting us a table that was up in the balcony, very quite and a great romantic spot over looking the restaurant. He even brought us a complementary glass of champagne. Our waiter was very nice, but not once the whole time did if ask us if we would like a drink of any kind. Overall the place was great and we would go back anytime.

Twin Owls presents an enjoyable atmosphere within the rustic elegance of a mountain cabin. Our dinning experience was romantic and quiet. The food was fabulous and dessert should not be missed. Prices are on the expensive side, but reasonable for special occasions and fine dining. We would visit again the next time we are in the area.

It was amazing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the food was excellent (and reasonably priced), and the overall feel of the restaurant was awesome. I work in Estes Park at a spa, and I was always told this was the best restaurant in town, but I had never been there. I am happy to agree with that statement, and highly recommend the Twin Owls Steakhouse to anyone who wants an Estes Park Experience.

Just Lovely! A romantic place to dine, but would be good for large groups and families too. We started in the bar with a glass of wine and appetizer. The appetizer for two was fantastic - elk medallions, mushrooms and bacon wrapped scallops. We then moved into the dining room for dinner. Filet was good perfectly with a nice Bernaise sauce along with a grilled lobster tail. My husband had pinenut encrusted chicken with green chile cheese mashed potatos - yummy. Nice log beams, large windows, warm lighting. Made for a delightful evening.

Twin Owls was a great place to celebrate my one year anniversary with my significant other! The food was great and I couldn't get enough! It was fairly expensive, so it was definitely a treat! Our server was friendly, and they appeared to have a large staff. No one was kept waiting. We weren't seated near a window but there were plenty to peer out of--I would recommend asking for a table underneath/by a window for more scenic advantages.

My wife and I had visited the Twin Owls a year ago and had a most enjoyable experience. We looked forward to a similar meal this year. Unfortunately, our visit this year turned out to be terrible. It took forty five minutes for our meal to arrive from the time of placing our order. Our baked potatoes were luke warm at best. My rib eye steak was absolutely the worst steak at a restaurant in my memory. The wait staff was very unattentive. We do not intend to return. We informed Wendy and Shelly at River Spruce Cabins of our experience.

We had a party with young children, and they did not balk. The kids menu was a mini version of an adults menu. While my children had no problem with the selections, some children may not like their "chicken fingers" as grilled strips of chicken if they were expecting fried. I ordered the House Special Fillet, an item I had years ago, and it was still just as good. My husband ordered the Salmon grilled on a wood plank and enjoyed it very much. The gentleman that served us was attentive, but not intrusive. He did a great job. Overall a wonderful dining experience.

We love this restaurant! The atmosphere and service were impeccable. Now, there were 2 negatives. I ordered the filet mignon which was served with a bearnaise sauce and gorgonzola cheese. They overpowered the flavor of the meat. So that was my mistake. I should have ordered the New York Strip (my husband's NY Strip was perfect). But his sauteed vegetables were overcooked. With those 2 exceptions, it was a wonderful evening and we hope to return and will recommend it to our friends.
