or, The Whale is located in the former gymnasium of the Salvation Army building giving the space its distinct look and feel. The track above the gym floor was transformed into catwalk seating and upstairs bar. As you travel down to the lower level you will enter the main dining area with the open kitchen, a window into the butcher room and a small wine cellar that doubles as a private dining space. We use the freshest and sustainable seafood, humanly raised beef, poultry, pork and lamb. Dry aged steaks, pork chops, and whole fish and lobster will be wood fired on a 6 foot wood burning grill. Reminiscent of the classic East Coast seafood houses and steak houses recreated to fit modern times. A fun relaxed atmosphere with a touch of sophistication. A strong cocktail program, well rounded craft beer list, well curated wine program with all the big reds for your steak and complex whites to compliment all the seafood you can handle.

We had a fantastic evening celebrating my birthday at or, The Whale. Jason was our server, we were seated in the wine room. Really delicious food, especially the octopus, and nice wines. Jason recommended a bottle of Jacob's Creek, which was quite enjoyable. I highly recommend!

I was very impressed with everything we tried. The mussels were a large portion and delicious. We tried several preparations of duck and all were done perfectly. The wait staff was extremely attentive and we were well taken care of all evening. The homemade coconut cream ice cream was fantastic. We would definitely return again or bring visiting friends.

This was the first time I have been back since the management and menu changed. Service was excellent. We had the Pekin Duck and it was terrific. There should be a greater variety of wines and prices. Only one Chardonnay by the glass on the menu and at $15 a glass that's pretty pricey.

Nothing special and definitely not worth the trip. Atmosphere is not conducive for a quality date night. Nor is the food.

This is simply a fantastic place to enjoy a meal. The food is fresh, and delicious (they will also filet your fish for you if you order one!). Can't wait to come back.

First time - really enjoyed the venue. Appetizers and drinks were top notch. Salads and dinners were also very good. Do not let the relationship with a hotel deceive you - this is a very good restaurant
