The food was excellent, especially the onion soup which was rich, intense. The atmosphere is classy without being pretentious; the servers were friendly, relaxed, and helpful so it was easy to feel comfortable and relaxed as well. We wished we had saved room for dessert - I think I will return sometime for an appetizer, salad, and dessert meal.

My husband ordered the lobster and gnocchi as an entree. I had the scallops. Both were excellent, but the lobster was the real standout. For dessert, the pumpkin parfait was lovely, but elderflower dessert was unfortunatley not quite as good. The presentation of both desserts was lovely. I appreciate that the dessert menu is not just an afterthought on their menu. The setting is gorgeous and the prices aren't terrible considering the quality of the food. We will be back.

we arrived on time, and were seated at a table with absolutely no room. We requested another table and were placed there. About 5 minutes late, the manager told us we could not sit there. He was not polite, was haughty in his attitude, and basically implied "who cares what you think, it`s your loss, not ours." It was my wife`s birthday, and we wouldn`t return there unless he was long gone from the premises.

Food was outstanding with beautiful presentation to boot. Unique touch with signature cocktail and specials for the evening with rare ingredients (I.e. Alba truffle risotto). The Spiced Lamb Saddle was particularly noteworthy with great flavor and texture. The chocolate napleon was extremely rich and amazing. While valet parking was a bit of a chore (need to approach on the Mass Ave. side) and service was a bit slow at times, this restaurant was an outstanding experience overall. I'm already planning our next visit!!

The onion soup was well-balanced. The sirloin was perfect — medium was medium, not medium well. The accompanying mushrooms seemed a bit overly salty/garlicky. Jason and the rest of the staff provided impeccable service. I had noted with my reservation that I needed to be at an event at 7:00. Jason had been made aware of that and served items and delivered the check promptly so that I could get to the event. Between courses, on both my visits, a waiter or busboy wiped the table whether it needed it or not — an elegant touch. THe noise level was on the upper side of quiet, with background music during the early part of my meal, but there would be no need to raise one's voice in a conversation.

Lovely ambiance with tables far enough apart that you don't feel crowded. Thank you to the restaurant for accommodating us after I found out when we arrived that I had made the reservation for another night. The food was inventive and good (although they were a little heavy-handed with some spices and dessert was terrible). HOWEVER, we valet parked and it took the valet over an hour (nit am exaggeration) to find our car, causing us to miss a show we had tickets too. Both the valet company and the restaurant were unapologetic and everyone was pointing fingers- nobody took responsibility for the mistake. I'll likely never go back. It ruined our night.

food was displayed well and was good, service was good, but was waaaaaay too expensive for what you get. you are paying to eat on the corner of Comm Ave and Mass Ave and there are a TON of other places that offer just as good food for not (clenched teeth) Back Bay prices. Seems like this kind of place will do well with the business suits needing a place to wine and dine people or perhaps a special occasion for a couple or friends, but I doubt I'd go back with any frequency.

The restaurant is quite lovely and the service was excellent, but we waited 45 minutes past our reservation time. The food was overly ambitious and oversalted which overtook the flavor of all the nuanced seducing of each dish. I had the scallops, 3 end were served with a disc of potato roti and it was too salty to finish the entree. For 28 dollars I was disappointed.

My girlfriend and I are definitely foodies and this was one of the best meals either of us have had in Boston in quite a while. I had the aged steak which rivaled those of Capital Grille (maybe not Grille 23, but it was pretty close) and my girlfriend had the moroccan spiced lamb saddle which was far better than the spiced lamb at Tangierino. The steak duo and beet appetizers were phenomenal as well and the wine list is excellent. The drink list could have had more choices. The service, like everything else, was outstanding and was timed perfectly. The only criticism was that our server, when asked her preference between two dishes, couldn't pick one, she just described how each other them were prepared. Other than that, perfection.

Deuxave had a very nice feel, look and aura in general. The hostess was very nice, took our coats, and we were seated fairly quickly. The service was a bit off as we felt a bit rushed through our meal. Also, the scallops were a bit undercooked. The rest of the meal was great, the atmosphere was very nice and I would recommend it to others. I just think the service could have been a bit better at the table for the money being spent. Lobster Gnocchi was amazing by the way!

Deuxave is a winner and a very welcome addition to Back Bay dining options! The food is the star here but the atmosphere is very casual and laid back, not all pretentious or stuffy. The ambience is comfortable, relaxed, and ideal for carrying on a conversation. There is also a blazing cheerful fire going in the fireplace for those cold nights. We started with a white truffle rissotto and shared two entrees: the first delicious indian influenced lamb dish that was perfectly spiced and a mediterranean style duck breast served on a bed of baby lentils. Both were outstanding. Dessert was a dark chocolate napoleon served with house made ice cream. Yumm. From the apps to desserts, every course was outstanding. Very rare indeed.

An absolute gem! I had the foie gras appetizer, the scallops for a main course, and the apple cider soup for dessert. All three items were delicious, elegantly plated, and promptly served. The foie gras was tasty, and the accompanying items complemented it very well. The scallop entree had an almost overpowering, but fascinating, range of flavors with it on the plate. The warm cider soup, with poached apple, maple sauce, sorbet, and mini doughnuts, was the most remarkable of the courses. It worked perfectly. Service was perfectly attentive throughout, but not obtrusive. The location suffers from its high ceilings and angularity, which make it feel a little colder than might be the case with other materials. I hope to be back soo

This really might have been the best meal I have ever had in Boston, and I don't say that lightly. The decor is lovely--upscale but not stuffy or overly thought out. Our server was professional, sweet, and always there when needed. But this review is really about the food. Oh, the food! The carpaccio and tartare app melted in our mouths, the duck breast was cooked to perfection and served on an outrageously tasty plum sauce. The chicken was moist and smoky, and the deconstructed Napoleon was bliss. Bravo.

The decor is upscale Manhattan. very chic. very comfortable. very inviting. the food was superb. i had the fois gras with the suggested wine pairing. One of the very best starters i have ever had. my wife had the tuna tartar. very fresh and flavorful. i have a weakness for lamb. if it is on the menu, i usually order it. i have experienced great lamb dishes around the world. i ordered the Moroccan lamb and i have to say this was the most tasty and inventive presentation of lamb ever! I don't have enough space to elaborate but Deuxave is a gem.

The food is spectacular, among th best in Boston, but unless you like being shoved in corner, go with a pary of 4 or more. There are wonderful windows with spectacular views only for parties of 4 or more. Do not expect to bring a date here for a romantic dinner, as you will be embarassed as the hostess tells you, 'No, you must sit far away from the windows'. If you are a couple, go for the food and sit at the bar. If you are 4 or more, expect a nice seat by th ewindow and a wonderful meal.

Deuxave had an excellent menu. Everything I tasted was superb and I had trouble deciding between option for my entree. However overall the service was on point, the mood of the restaurant felt quiet but present, and the food was great.
