Was in Atlantic City for the weekend and went to MIA for Valentine's dinner. The service was great; attentive but not annoying. Food was excellent. We got the mussels and the Lobster Bolognese as appetizers. Both were very good but the mussels were amazing! They came in this sausage broth that was so good we needed more bread just so we didn't waste it! Entrees were delicious. Don't normally like the skin on salmon but this was crispy..very good! Red velvet cheesecake for dessert just topped it all off. Would've liked a table closer to the center of the room rather then back by the wall and the kitchen, since it was very beautiful place, but the food surely made up for it!!!

It was my first time trying out Mia and I am absolutely digging the food. Everything was prepared in a timely manner and especially since it was Valentine's night I was expecting a longer wait. They were very kind to be able to reschedule my reservation because I arrived half an hour late and everyone was very friendly. The only thing I have to complain about was that our server was a bit too abrupt for my taste. He would zip from one place to another. Although I do feel that because my date and I look under 20 that people probably didn't take us as seriously as I would like. Otherwise the food was great, I love the atmosphere that was set and everything was quick.

We eat at Mia's frequently and it has always been great. This was an exception. The waiter spent much of his time with his regulars and didn't pay attention to his other tables. It took us an hour after appetizers to get our dinner and was not that crowded. When dinner did arrive, my husband's food was hot and tasted amazing. Mine came out cold. I applaud the restaurant for taking my meal and wine off of the check and we will go back. I hope the waiters understand that while regulars deserve exceptional treatment, the other customers do need service.

Chef Paul is one of the most creative chefs in Atlantic City - Quality ingredients, put together skillfully and presented beautifully. Service is first rate. Jason, Victor and the service team do an excellent job - attentive but not obtrusive. The setting is open, airy and unique in Atlantic City. It is modeled after a Roman Temple with high ceilings and massive columns. A great place to forget the snow and enjoy a delightful dining experience.

Everything was very good from the food, atmosphere and the pricing. However the star was the service. Fast, courteous and attentive are just a few of the adjectives that describe the outstanding service we received. My wife was celebrating a birthday and our server, Philip, treated us like royalty. If your looking for authentic Italian cuisine at a fair price with over the top service then Mia's is your place. Remember to ask for Philip.

  • Gone downhill!
    OpenTable Diner Since 2005
    Dined on 12/26/2013
I used to love Mia. It's been going downhill in quality and execution. We started with the "Charred Octopus" appetizer and the "Orecchiette Lobster Bolognese". The octopus was overdone and tough, and neither spicy nor tasty. The orecchiette was OK, not outstanding. We shared one entree of grilled whole striped bass, "Bronzino Intero". The fish was grilled perfectly. However, it was done with lemon, fresh thyme and cherry tomatoes, finished with butter, which was exactly what I have done many times at home for quick dinners, and was not especially inventive. Worse, Mia's version is nowhere as zesty nor tasty as mine would have been, lacking aromatics; a bit of sauteed garlic or onion or leek would have helped.

Over all the restaurant was nice. The main server Jason was good. They were accommodating to a time change and friendly. The food was good, but not memorable for the price. One thing that bothered me was when they brought the bread to the table we asked for dipping oil instead of butter. Thinking that we would get this flavorful olive oil with spices, all we got was a small bowl of pretty basic olive oil with no spices what so ever. The table didn't even have salt and pepper on it. It was convenient to the hotel and nice but I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.

Chef Paul's Pastas are creative and delicious. Particularly love the Rigatoni Bolognese and the unique Agnolotti. My wife really enjoys the Orrcchiette Lobster Bolognese, and the Homemade Cavatelli Pasta is also a favorite. Often have a half order of one of these as an appetizer. For entrees, the Zuppa di Pesce is always a big hit, as is the Filet Mignon. Service is professional and friendly. Jason, Victor and the team do a great job. The ambiance is unique in Atlantic City, a Roman Temple with massive columns and high ceiling. Mia is a special place for a holiday celebration.

Checked the reviews and received a recommendation by a friend for this AC restaurant. The ambiance was beautiful and loved the well spaced tables. The service was very good and the timing in between the courses was perfect. The Baked Clams appetizer was melt in your mouth good as the hint of applewood smoked bacon was the perfect touch. The Lobster Bolognese entrée was a bit salty, but the pasta was al dente and the lobster was good. The Cavatelli entrée was excellent. Overall, a great dining experience.

It was my boyfriend's birthday and wanted to make it really special without spending a huge ton of money. When I found their 3 courses for $39 online, I was in luck, and Mia definitely lived up to the hype. The atmosphere was very nice, everything was extremely precise and pristine--just lovely. The only downside was when I asked for the $39 menu, it was a crumpled up computer print-out in stark contrast to the nice full-price menu. The upside was that their $39 menu included more selection than the online version from $29-$49, and everything was just delicious, except for my boyfriend's salmon which was extremely fishy-tasting. The food overall was just delicious and well worth the discount and even full-price. I will definitely return!

We have been thrilled with all the gourmet restaurants in the Caesar's/Harrah's/Bally's/Showboat group that we have vistied so far. The food and service are all superb and there is good value pricing both in food and wine. Mia was no exception. What I loved especially was that all the pasta dishes could be had in full or half portion. All the appetizers could be had in full-size portion too as a meal. The special oyster appetizer was "to die for." Even the bread was true Tuscan country bread. I am looking forward to going back there.

Finally got the chance to try out Mia in Caesar's for dinner...and boy am I glad we did! Took the recommendation of a friend and was not disappointed! Service was excellent...and the food was to die for! We did order the seafood appetizer - and were pleased when our server was all too accommodating of our "no raw shellfish" request. Instead, we received extra lobster tails, shrimp and even some snow crab clusters! Our server did explain that this appetizer was HUGE and, after eating all that wonderful seafood, the majority of our entrees went untouched. Word to the wise - the seafood app is ENORMOUS...says it serves 2...more like 4! All in all, a great experience and will definitely return!

Nice place - Italian seafood theme-great music. Wine list pricy but expected for a casino . service was good , smaller menu but very nice options-must love seafood though - had huge cold shell fish platter - you could feed 4 ppl w/ this but it comes for 2. If I were to find one complaint , it would be that this is too close to the lobby & plenty of gawkers staring in.If you know caesars - this place should be upstairs in the fine dining row.
