Our food was wonderful and beautifully presented. Our waiter should be looking for another job. He was indifferent about what we were buying. For instance he brought one dessert menu for 4ppl and dropped it on the table without a word. No offer of coffee or reccomendation. He was condescending about the wine my friends were ordering because my friend ordered it by the winery instead of the name of the chardonney. We felt like he was snearing at us throughout the evening. Would we go back? Not sure at this point.

The food, although good, is small in portion and expensive. My husband and some friends ordered Salmon. It was served in a bowl in a puddle of soup with 2 or 3 asparagus spears. No potatoes or side dish accompanied it.They should serve bread with dinner. We had to order it and pay separetly for it. Not a good idea in this economy when people are looking for a deal. Our waiter did not ask me if i wanted a glass of wine with my meal so i had to flag him down to get his attention. The bar waitress was much better and so were the appetizers we ordered from the bar before being seated. The atmosphere here is too warm for a summmer day. They had the fireplaces burning which made it too hot. I might not go back again.

Magnificently fresh ingredients. Perfect portion sizes. My wife and I didn't have to take any leftovers home. We had an appetizer, main course and shared a dessert. Everything was superbly prepared and presented. Seth (our waiter) was knowledgeable about everything on the menu and could read when we needed service or assistance. The strawberry cheesecake was absolutely to die for - not like any other cheesecake I've ever had. This is definitely a place we will go back to!

  • This is becoming our go-to
    OpenTable Diner Since 2011

This is becoming our go-to spot for 'family recognition' rewards. Food is well-thought-out and creative, without being super 'trendy'. Lots of healthy options, and attentive to seasonal, local offerings. We used to think of it as a more expensive option - especially for taking the whole family to, but they seem to be working more toward offering various dining 'experiences', with the wine bar / patio / cafe / brunch variations making this place work for just about any budget / time-of-day / apparel option. Love the free valet parking for 'special' events - Father's Day brunch was outstanding!

Wonderful ambiance and excellent food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. I had a special of pan-seared cod with tomato-truffle sauce, and it was absolutely delightful. My wife had the duck gnocchi, and she enjoyed it, loving the caramelized garlic as treasures found in the sauce. The cheese platter was an excellent way to start our meal, and the desserts, chocolate tart and lemon tart, were decadent and rich. The atmosphere was quiet, as we had first seating at 4 o'clock, and the place felt comfortable without seeming austere. The focus was on the overall dining experience and the food came at the right pace to enjoy it, but not feel rushed.

PK has fantastic intentions and did not make them come to fruition when we were there. Sadly, the food did not live up. The mushroom bisque was too salty, we sent it back. They were out of duck, but let one of us order it anyway, only to inform us 20 minutes later that they were out. Butter lettuce salad served with a dime dollop of goat cheese. I told the waitress at the outset that my family is gluten free. Our soup was still served with bread on the side. I ordered a Seared Chicken entree and it arrived breaded, no time to order again as my kids were melting down. The staff were very friendly and did the right thing, taking off items we sent back. We were not offered anything special for our inconvenience.

I had the lamb sandwich which was outstanding. The lamb was moist and tender and very well seasoned. The bread was of an artisan type and it's cripy/crunchiness was perfect against the tenderness of the lamb. The only change I would make would be the fries - a disappointment in their limpness (and a little over salty.) I think a better accompaniment would have been skinnier fry and maybe even out of sweet potato. My daughter's salmon eggs Benedict was also a hit.The sauce was smooth with just the right amount of lemon sparkle. But it was the colors of the dish that amazed me. The lemon yellow of the sauce with the pinky orange of the salmon, the white of the egg, the green of pear skin, and the red of the strawberries. Yummy eye candy.

This restaurant is a treat to anyone's pallet. You know you are in for a real treat when your chef is confident in his work. You know this confidence by the fact there is no salt or pepper on the table. Loved it! It was amazing, the food melted in your mouth, the flavors were fresh, and they bounced off each other to create a perfect blend. Their cocktails were smooth, and very aromatic. Our server Allen was amazing, it was our first time there, and he treated us like we were his only guest that night. He picked out a wine pairing for my dinner as requested, and I only wish I took down the name, because it was a perfect fit. There was no rush for us to leave, even though our reservations were not until 8:30 pm on a Sunday night.

Loved the ambience and waiter/help staff were great. Generous wine pour. Halibut cheeks chewy and too much bulgar with both beet salad and main course. Pork was excellent. For the money, there are some real gems in the North area that we would choose over this restaurant again.

The food, ambiance, and service were not what I expected from this restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, there was no hostess at the front desk. Waiting several minutes solved that but was not a good first impression. This was followed up by a lack of attention from the waitres. Our food (New York Strip and the Salmon Filet) wasn't great and I've never seen salmon filet served skin side up. The noise level was rediculous and the restaurant wasn't even full. There is such a thing as a lively atmosphere (which I enjoy) this wasn't it. At the end of the day I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion.

Wonderful food in a beautiful historic building with amazing ambience, but a we had a really rude waitress. She was rude right from the start (don't know why) to our group of 5 women and continued throughout our meal. It didn't ruin our experience but it did color it a bit, unfortunately. We all agreed that we would return, but would specifically ask not to be seated in her area.

This place has potential... Love the feel of the place...just wish the food was more enjoyable. The filet I had while it was good...it wasn't great. The outside was too charred for my liking. Plus - we overheard 3 other tables not able to order what they'd wanted because the kitchen ran out of it.

Overall it was a great experience. The food was good, and the appetizers and desserts were amazing. The service was attentive. The only negatives were that is was very noisy. At times I struggled to hear my husband over the din, and also when I entered with my husband (who does not look like a woman and even has a beard) we were told "right this way ladies", then "you ladies have a nice dinner". No harm done, of course, but it did feel a little awkward just the same.

Lovely old house with a comfortable ambiance. Set on a busy street, but once you're inside you forget about the cars zipping by outside. Plus, the house being set a bit above the street level helps. Very reasonable prices for a big plate of food. Limited menu, but still a good selection.

We had a great dining experience! Beautiful restaurant, it had a really nice feel to it. Absolutely perfect and delicious breakfast and brunch menu. There were six of us and we all tried different items and we thought everything was great from the Eggs Benedict to the Jalepeno Infused Bloody Mary's. We had a private dining room with a great server. It really made our Mother's Day celebration special this year and we plan to go back again.

We had brunch here on Mother's Day and they had a wonderful special menu that my wife order off of, while I ordered off the main menu. My wife ordered the eggs benedict with smoked salmon, where the hollandaise sauce with velvety smooth and smoked salmon had nice hints of smoke while have the right amount of salt to keep your mouth watering. I had the skirt steak and eggs, and asked to have the sausage gravy on the side rather than served over the steak. I was happy with this decision as the steak was perfectly cooked to order (medium) and the sausage gravy went well over the home fries. To top off our brunch we both order the "Chocolate Decadence" a flourless cake that was served cold with freshwhipcreamandstrawberries. We'll be back!

The dining room is very comfortable and nicely decorated. To start wih I had the charcuterie plate, it was very large and had a good assortment of meats. The halibut cheeks that i had for the entree were very good. They also have really good prices on bottles of wine compared to most restaurants. As far as service goes, there was only one other couple in the place so the service was very good. We have been there on other nights and the service was pretty spotty..drink orders wrong, dinners took a long time etc. The only real drawback is its location, which I think has affected other restaurants that have occupied this space. This place does have potential and i think the more people find out about it, it could become popular
