First visit to The Brooklyn was a very positive one. Food every bit as good as The Met with a bit lower price tag. Will definitely return. Great wine list too.

The food was even better than the last time I was there - I didn't think that was possible! I sat at the chef's table. The chairs were comfortable, and watching the chef's at work was fascinating. Excellent experience - I will be back!

Service was excellent. Wife had to send back steak twice to get it to "medium" vice rare...but the waiter was great, friendly and even encouraged sending it back to the kitchen a second time because it wasn't to her request. Atmosphere was good, but back area of restaurant looks more inviting. Big leather chairs along bar in back look really nice, suggest trying them. Seafood appetizer was very good but not extraordinary. All that said, my oyster stuffed filet was excellent! I would gladly eat here again, but request my seating area.

Our Waiter was fantastic, we are business professionals, it was lunch time in the city which typically means we will return to our offices later than expected. This was one of those days, one of us needed to return qucikly. The waiter asked if we had a time restraint, we told him we did. That man had us fed and out so quickly! The best part was that I never felt rushed. Everything just went super smoothly. I cant tell you how great the waiter was. The food, always fantastic at The Brooklyn

Although the waiter was very friendly, I was disappointed in the overall experience. My friend eats very quickly, however I am a slow eater. Before I was half-way finished with my meal, the bus boy came to our table and removed everything (her plate, bread plates, extra silverware, etc.) except for my plate. He even took my plate and stood at the table stacking everything. We were there for less than an hour, yet the host and the bus boy hovered over us like it was 2 am on a Sunday night. I expect better than that.

Excellent food and service. My one complaint--not enough fresh vegetables on the entree plates. How much could it cost to have 10 beans instead of 3? I have this complaint everytime I go there, yet we keep going because its such a great setting and the food is usually very good. Great booths and not too noisy, which is key for a nice dinner out with good conversation.

I would always feel comfortable recommending this as great Seattle restaurant. It is our favorite before the Symphony because of the close proximity.

This was a great lunch spot for casual downtown lunching for two. And, though it is not the place to go if on a tight budget, the lunch entrees were delicious and the bill was approximately 35$ (with tip) which we paid with no remorse.

Wasn't really happy with the new "Filet Gorgonzola" (previously "Filet Roquefort") especially the mashed postaoes, which weren't really mashed, more like scalloped potatoes in smaller pieces. Server brought us more bread when asked but never came back with more oil/balsamic. Server never acknowledged this was a birthday celebration!

    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 5/17/2010
We've been to The Brooklyn many times and it is always a delightful event. For some reason, my wife and I had both decided, independent of each other, that we wanted fried oysters for dinner main course, but they were not on the menu. There is a wonderful selection of oyster starters but that's not what we wanted. We mentioned our wants to the waiter who quickly said the chef can make what we want, so we had our fried oysters and they were just what we had in mind. And not too expensive. A fine place for dinner before an event at Benaroya Hall.

We asked for a special table for my 60th birthday on our first visit to Seattle. We were seated next to a family of four and one of the girls had her toes im her mouth when we sat down. Toward the end of the meal a family of of six with 2 more young kids were seated behind us making it a very loud scene in total. Also there was no mention of my birthday or an offering of some kind of special dessert.
