The food is superlative. I've never had a better Steak Diane, and it is prepared right at your table. All of the food served at our table was wonderful. The staff was perfectly attentive, the view from the top of the hill was captivating (there were 2 deer resting right outside our window), and the wine and drinks were delicious. This is THE restaurant for fine dining in Colorado Springs.

Overall great experience. Only downside was the Service. Very hit and miss. From sitting for long periods without attention and trying to flag someone down to overwhelmed with 2 or 3 at your table. A bit dissapointed with the service.

What a wonderful surprise!! We were visiting from Dallas and enjoyed the peppered steaks, lamb chops, ceasar salad, and bananas foster so much on Friday night that we returned again Saturday night. The service was outstanding. When you visit you will see that the peppered steak prepared tableside is a must. The wonderful smells hit you when you walk through the door. Don't skip the meal without opting for the scrumptuous scalloped potatoes. Thanks guys for making the weekend in Colorado Springs where we came for hiking but left full worth the visit!!!

was offered per glass wine list, but was not offered a buy by the bottle wine list as the other tables. my family was vacationing and had been sight seeing all day. I felt we may have given the appearance we couldn't afford a bottle of wine because we didn't look formal enough. appetizers were very good. steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. I was a little disappointed in the simplicity of the salad and baked potato as side dishes. I have eaten at fine dining restaurants and enjoy when the sides are as unique as the entrees. The service was great and felt the table side cooking was a special touch. I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends.

My husband and I never been here before. Our first impression was this is going to be our usual anniversary place to go to. My husband don't like too many crowds and this is the place. It's a romantic place especially at night. You have the scenic view of downtown. Service is amazing from the time we came in to the time we left. They're very cordial. I had the famous pepper steak and it was awesome. It was very juicy and perfectly cooked right by our table side. My husband had the veil and it scrumptious! Timing was perfect! We don't feel rushed or didn't waiting too long for the food to arrive.

The Pepper Tree continues to be one of the outstanding retaurants in Colorado Springs. The staff is friendly and efficient, and most importantly, the food is excellent! The pepper steak is their pride and joy, and is perfect - always perfect. Many of the entrees and desserts are prepared table side and flamed, which I think is a great experience.

We had a fabulous time. The food was great, the service was impeccable. The atmosphere was romantic, the only thing I would say is at times it got quiet loud due to a big party. But overall I would recommend pepper tree to anyone looking for a fine dining experience.

This is very much a "classic", old-style restaurant. The food is very good and there is a nice view of Colorado Springs, but the food seemed about 25% overpriced to my wife and I. Cooking the steaks at the table is a nice touch, but mine was too rare and they had to take it back to the kitchen to put it in the oven, which took a LOOOOOONG time (my wife was nearly finished with her meal). Very good steak, however.

I had a great dining experience. The service was outstanding and the food exceptional. I will definately return and will bring other guests along. It was incredible. Though it does not seem well-suited for kids(there was no kids menu and no booster seats),the staff did an excellent job of being accommadating and my kids loved watching the wait staff preparing the steaks at the tables. My husband said the steak was the best and most tender he had ever had.

    Dined on 5/8/2010
Pepper Tree advertises as fine dining in a very formal atmosphere (in fact, Open Table also advertises Pepper Tree this way). We arrived in formal dress for an up-scale romantic dinner only to see more than a few customers dressed in t-shirts, jeans, and other very casual wear. It was a let-down for us. We won't view it or recommend it as a formal dining experience to our friends. The food and presentation was on par with Walter's Bistro and ok for the price.
