From their baked eggs with braised short rib for breakfast to bison burger, every dining experience was a delight. Not only was the food delicious, it was also gluten free! The staff was friendly and went above and beyond what I expected to ensure a spectacular dining experience.

We were very disappointed in this restaurant. It's located in the JW Marriott - Desert Ridge Resort, where everyone provides top notch, over the top customer service. But, someone forgot to train the staff at the Stone Grill. First, there were two of us, and they seated us next to a large party. The ENTIRE restaurant was empty, but the best location to seat us was next to a loud, abnoxious party so we couldn't hear ourselves speak to each other. Then, we waited, what seemed like forever for service. The food was decent, but our server seemed really put out when we asked for extra condiments, refills on beverages, or anything else... clearly we were bothering him. I suppose if you want to eat outside, pick here, otherwise, there are others!

The food is always amazing and we get excited trying new things at Stonegrill because every item we get is awesome. Our server was not very friendly though and there were way too many kids there which is understandable because it being a summer resort but it was distracting and loud which is not something we wanted for our anniversary dinner.

We were seated at a high top table and the chairs were horrible!!! The back of the chair was way too short ( I'm only 5'3") and I couldn't push my chair in without my husband!!! Our server was not really attentive, pleasant but gone a lot. There was a gentleman to give you water and a manager (?) came over to bring us coffee. We both ordered burgers, mine well done and my husbands med well. He thought his was fine. Mine was literally a charred hockey puck! Well do e doesn't mean burnt, it means no pink!!!!! Had apple pie for dessert and that was ok. It was a really slow night so perhaps they weren't on their toes??!! All I know is the chair and my burger was horrible! The burgers had NO seasoning, French fries were good!

I had breakfast here last week with customers to leave the larger crowd at a conference in the hotel. Great food, great service but as the place filled up the noise level rose as well. I had a hard time hearing the discussion! They remodeled last year and did a great job- very beautiful, but too much stone and hard surface for noise to bounce off of!

Casual dining. I had the short rib and my husband, soup and salad. All were very good. The outdoor seating area overlooked the lawn area where kids ran around, threw balls, and did cartwheels. It is a good place to eat or have a drink, while letting the kids wear themselves out. It is located in JW Marriott, so it isn't cheap.

Located in a JW Marriott, we went to Stonegrill three times for dinner when we were staying at the nearby Marriott Canyon Villas. My wife is gluten free so was very happy to see the notations on the menu as well as several delicious options. Her pork tamale with bean cassoulet and tomatillo sauce were so outstanding the second night that we had to go back again so I could have the tamale. Outstanding! The salads we had (Duncan Farms greens and burrata with tomatoes) were also very refreshing. The servers are friendly yet professional, and the seating outside is particularly pleasant especially if you are there in the winter and come from a cold climate place.

Not only did they give us the worst table in the place, it took an hour to get a salad & some enchiladas. We were seated right next to a 2 & 3 year old. Yes, there was some crying. Why, oh why must people with children take them to dining rooms. There are plenty of other food options. Can you say babysitter? If you can afford a place like this for dinner, you can afford a babysitter. Arghhh! However, it really was the service that would keep us from booking again. It was awful!

Decided to try the restaurant since it is a redo of the Blue Sage. Skirt steak portion was small with poor presentation on plate. Substituted salad for fries and so the steak was plopped on the plate with nothing else and the fries came in a side container. Poor eye appeal for the $$$ - not a good value. Salmon entrée was very good. Sat outside and had to watch everyone else's kids running around the green space - not a relaxing dinner at dusk outside. Was hoping the outdoor dining experience would be better than it was.

The waitress was helpful and friendly. We sat outside and at night lights are lit up all around with nice background music. My husband had the short ribs which were the most tender I had ever tasted. The mahi mahi was tender and calamari for an appetizer was nice and crispy. We shared chocolate cake for dessert and it was delicious.

We went to the Stone Grill for an early Valentines Day dinner with our 17 month old. The service was fantastic and everyone was pleasant and efficient. The food however was not worth the $100 spent. From the appetizer of lettuce wraps to the Mahi Mahi main course I was disappointed with the lack of flavor. The tomatillo hash was visually unappealing as well as bland. The wait staff certainly made the experience enjoyable and we had a very nice time despite the sub par food offering. We hope the chef corrects the issues with the menu because the resort is a beautiful place to spend an evening out.

The shrimp was cooked nicely. Lettuce wraps with chicken were also good. The outside patio overlooked a large open area, beautiful. .. flowers and water features.

Open Table does not allow sufficient number of characters to fully elaborate the many problems I had with this restaurant. Suffice to say: 1. Grossly overpriced valet parking 2. Inadequately trained hostess and server staff 3. Dinner menu doesn't correspond to online menu offerings. Specifically, the four taco options I'd been looking forward to have been removed from the dinner menu and are apparently only available now for lunch 4. On leaving my table briefly after dessert, I specifically asked my waiter to NOT remove the coffee with liquor. On returning, it had been cleared. The replacement coffee was without liquor. 5. On giving the waiter my valet ticket (drops $10 charge to $5 when validated), he forgot to return it until reminded.

I changed my reservation to this restaurant because of the brunch mentioned on the JW Marriott website. What a disappointment! This was a special occasion to celebrate Christmas with my father after we had attended church on Sunday morning. I was very embarrassed that the Brunch environment felt like we were at a free breakfast at a Days Inn. The room was noisy, kids running around, handling the food. I asked to be moved to the back room which seemed to be more secluded, but was told this was for a private party, despite the fact that the private party was leaving. Don't come here if you are looking for a nice brunch at what is otherwise a sophisticated resort!
