  • We had agreat time celebrating
    OpenTable Diner Since 2007

We had agreat time celebrating the engagement of our son with his future wife and in-laws as well as a birthday of one of the members of the party. Our waiter (Kevin) took special care of us knowing that it was a special occasion. The food was wonderful, as well.

  • Service is about the same

Service is about the same as the last time we were there.(used to be a member and left because of bad service!). They also ran out of proper martini glassses and served us drinks in a small juice glass! (however, when we complained, they offered to comp the drinks!) After that, they did try to improve the service. One more thing, when I called to ask if we could move our reservation to 45 minutes later, they told us they could not as they were TOO busy. However, the place was practically deserted when we arrived, tables were not even set up for dining, and even when we left it was not full. All in all, nothing has changed in our opinion. Too bad, since the atmosphere is so pretty and it really could be so much better. An embarassmen

  • This our first time dining

This our first time dining at Meadowood was a very nice experience. In particular the service provided by our waiter, Andreas I believe his name was, was attentive and even charming. Though it was a bit too chilly to dine on the outside deck, on a warmer evening it would be quite beautiful out there.

  • I choose Meadowodd,The Grill

I choose Meadowodd,The Grill because I knew it had good food and wine along with being kid friendly. I did not expect how kid-friendly it was and how accommodating the staff was. I definitely will go back for this very fact.

  • Love the Grill when al fresco

Love the Grill when al fresco dining is permitted by the weather. The dogwood was in bloom and the setting was superb. The crab salad is outstanding and worth a visit in itself. The staff at Meadowood is well trained, friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Not crazy about dining inside; ambiance is a bit ordinary.

  • I had thought that I was making

I had thought that I was making my reservation at Meadowood, The Restaurant and not The Grill, so it was a disappointment to discover that we were going to the less "fine dining" establishment. I'm not sure how to avoid this on OpenTable, but it seems that when hotels have multiple restaurants, it might be nice for OpenTable to indicate that and verify that the customer is reserving at the right one. This may not be an issue with most restaurants, but at Meadowood the naming of the restaurants is also a bit confusing, e.g. The Grill and The Restaurant. I didn't realize that these were two different places. Having said that, we had a lovely meal and were able to reserve at The Restaurant for the next night. Everything ended well.

Both the Grill and Restaurant at Meadowood are unique dining experiences. As they are tucked away within the Meadowood Resort the settings offer tranquility rarely found elsewhere.

We had a very enjoyable time. The staff was excellent. My wife really enjoyed the wine sampling. The food was great. From the grilled artichoke to the Osso Bucco was fabulous.

  • This is a golf club grill
    OpenTable Diner Since 2008
    Dined on 2/14/2008
This is a golf club grill at a very nice golf club. The entire grill overlooks the course which is beautiful. However the interior decor and feel of the place has the casual feel of a club. This is not the entire fine dinning experience. That said, it is a nice venue with a nice view. The food was good without being great let alone memorable.
