Would have been more enjoyable if the server hadn't tried to chase out of the restaurant. He brought the bill before we even finished dessert which we found very tacky for a relatively expensive meal. Didn't even offer coffee or anything before he stuck it in the middle of the table and then disappeared. Apparently it was the end of his shift but he could have handled the transition in a much more classy manner.

Superb for nice lunch or dinner. Food is excellent and well presented. Fixed price ($20 lunch, $30 dinner) meals are great value. I went once and then have returned twice more.

I usually dine at Oya for lunch where the Prix Fixe menu is perfect and a fair price. This time I was there for dinner and was surprised that for the extra $10 charge you don't received anything extra (portions are even the same size)... like maybe even a salad! While not an expensive dinner I still felt a little ripped off that I was getting the same meal but having to pay more for it. I'll stick with Oya for lunch and have dinner elsewhere. That doesn't change the fact that the food remains exceptional!

Oya was great as always! I love the fact that they have a prixe fix menu, it is delicious, quick and a great value! The sushi continues to be my fav and their entrees are creative and really, really delicious! I appreciate the variety of their menu. I go a lot and am always pleased. Plus those little popover things they give you to start are incredible

Some confusion around the table. When there was one less person attending, they got all bent out of shape and said to verify first. We ended up being a 5 instead of 6 and I informed them. When we got to the table it was a 6 top anyway as I suspected. There was no reason for the uppity attitude. Our server had a large party come in and then we were unable to get his attention for long periods of time. Great restaurant and other servers finally came in to help. Food always top notch...

Although the service was fine, our meals came out too quickly - the table hadn't even been cleared of our appetizers before they were bringing out entree out. Then when we were half way through dessert the waiter brought the bill without offering any after-dinner drinks at all! We felt rushed by the staff. The food was nice though and the interior design of the restaurant is great.

The food was interesting and the presentation was very good, but overall seemed to lack a lot of flavor. I had the sea bass there and then for lunch at another venue the next day. The second sea bass was far superior. Oya's tasted overcooked and perhaps less fresh the the sea bass I had the next day. The wine list was interesting but requires an investment (most bottles started over $45 a bottle and mid range was $90). For a "moderately" priced place the wine will definitely put you into the expensive category quickly especially if you have a large group. The service was impeccable but a bit pushing at trying to up sell. I think next time I would stick to the bar and lounge area & focus more on the sushi instead of the prix fix menu.

    OpenTable Diner Since 2004

Service was okay at best. Food left much to be desired, sushi rolls came out way too quick....left us wondering how long they had been sitting around. Ordered filet medium rare, and it was barely pink. Waiter kept splashing husband everytime he put the wine bottle back in the chilling bucket. Wine list had an error, which left us with a bottle of syrah not shiraz like we had picked...not a big deal. Hostess was less than friendly, took us to a table that was already sat, then placed us at a booth for 6 (we were a party of 4), and was annoyed with us when we took a few seconds to figure out how to arrange ourselves. Would maybe go back for a cocktail, but that is it.

The food was EXCELLENT and the interior, even though a little 'Las Vegas' was pretty. The down side was that we were VERY rushed through our meal. I understand that they want to turn tables over as quickly as possible to make money - but it really made for an unrelaxing meal. We hadn't selected our wine from the list yet and were asked if we wanted to order our meal instead. Our appetizers came before our wine arrived. Dinner and dessert followed immediately. Then we were asked for our valet ticket and scooted out. If I'm in a hurry, I'll go to Chipotle, but when I'm plopping down a couple of hundred dollars for a dinner, I expect a little better.
